"A modern restaurant the way we like them. Comfortable, pleasant interior and chefs loyal to the establishment for years. Grand classics rub shoulders with more creative dishes for the adventurous. "All inclusive" good value for money formula." - Michelin Inspector

This is a superb gastronomic restaurant with rooms attached. The menus were excellent and well priced. We had superb service throughout our stay. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Two minor points. 1. the sauna and indoor pool are in a separate annexe requiring a short outdoor walk. 2. Our room (10) had a strange half corner bath with a hand shower. It was not easy to use it and water went everywhere! Best to select another room with a proper shower cubicle. This hotel and restaurant are well worth visiting!

We've been to le beau sejour several times. Comfortable rooms and splendid restaurant. The owners are really focused on your well being and are very friendly. The restaurant serves delicious food, modern local cuisine. The only downside is the indoor pool and sauna, which is clearly in an old stable, without many alterations. Not much effort was done to make this comfortable. But the beautiful village and surroundings offer enough to do (hikes etc), so no need to spend to long in the pool.

Absolutely beautiful family hotel. I stayed here as a solo traveler in mid-March after the last day of a three-day hike on the Transardennaise long-distance trail. I loved the ambiance immediately after walking into the hotel and being greeted warmly. Everything had an elegant-zen-Belgian vibe. ||||My room overlooking the back terrace and fountain was very comfortable, with a large closet, full-length mirror, and good wifi. I slept well on the plush mattress and bed linens. After all the hiking I especially enjoyed the well-equipped bathroom -- great smelling soaps and lotion, a fantastic hair dryer (finally), and a rain shower head that felt heavenly. ||||Dinner was an amazing affair. First were cocktails and appetizers in a cozy drawing room with a fireplace and leather chairs, where I could have stayed for hours. Then a dinner that was a gastronomical delight -- several courses finished up with a gorgeous creme brulee. Breakfast was extensive as well, and if the weather is nice you can eat in lovely terrace with a bubbling fountain. ||||Everyone was so helpful and accommodating of my English-only language skills. Would definitely return if I were back in the area.

As part of my brother's in law 75th birthday, my cousin who lives in the area recommended that we should celebrate his birthday at this restaurant because of its excellent cuisine and service. What a disappointment. There was ten of us which included six of my family and as the four of us did not wish to have the fish menu we decided to go for the "Angus Beef" as part of the main meal ordering separate wine from the rest. The beef that came was dreadful full of fat unable to cut it with the knife. My brother and his wife struggled on with their well done beef, we decided to have it medium and had to send it back as it was not cooked well. Finally we decided it was not good enough and so left the majority on the plate. Bearing in mind it was a birthday celebration the service level by the male waiter was diabolical full of his arrogance with the the four of us always served last. This was in contrast with the lady that served us who was much better. My cousin was distraught having recommended the place. The pair of us went to reception after the meal to make a serious complaint over the beef as the bill totaled 753 EUROS and no concession was made for the dreadful stake. We queried their menu's statement of "Angus Beef" only to be told that, that was the vendor had told them it was when they purchased it.||This clearly is a place where you take your chance as to the quality of food you will have on the night. The rest of the family eat fish and they were please with it.||Not a place to be recommended particularity if you are celebrating an occasion.

Second time we've stayed here. Got a room upgrade - it had a roof terrace overlooking the garden. The weather was unseasonally warm so we made full use of it. We didn't eat here but in "Le Barathym", just down the road and also owned by them. The breakfast is included and boasts a very wide selection - Salami, pate, ham, cheeses, smoked salmon, breads cereals, etc. Everything but the "Full English". Only complaint is that the coffee in the room was not replenished after the first night. If this was intentional, it's a bit mean!

Yelp
Reviewing the Hotel restaurant. Ten stars out of five. The lady and I do as much fine dining as we can afford and sometimes hit the Michelin starred places. Le Beau Sejour was one of THE best restaurants we've ever visited. The ambiance is frankly not particularly good. But the food and service deserves multiple stars and I'm not sure why they're not better noted in the food world. Multi-course menu with wine was out of this world good and set us back c.a. €180. Worth every cent. Would gladly return and highly recommend a detour to dine here.
