I participated in a beat battle organized by Beatkits. The place was one of the best ones I have ever been too. Although the washrooms were a bit dirty .

The place is really good. Their beers are not too expensive as well, around 8-10$each with tip so it’s really not bad compared to other bars on Saint-Laurent

During my visit to Le Belmont for the #wetouchgrass event, I found the venue to be decent but with some room for improvement. The space is versatile and well-suited for various events, and the sound system did a good job of enhancing the music. The lighting also contributed positively to the overall vibe of the night. However, the venue became quite crowded, making it feel a bit cramped, which slightly impacted the enjoyment of the event. Service was inconsistent, and the drink prices were a bit steep for what was offered. Overall, while Le Belmont is a solid venue for music events like #wetouchgrass, the experience could be hit-or-miss depending on the crowd and night. It's worth checking out, but don't expect perfection.

I went to go see the Snotty Nose Rez Kids. Nice venue for a small to medium sized show. I think maybe it would be full with about 250 people. I couldn't find my ticket so the staff let me in anyways. I found my ticket after finally. 😆

Nice venue; however, the bar was lackluster, the beer glass was warm and had a strange smell, and for nine bucks it was definitely not worth it. Overall a decent place for music shows but terrible for getting drinks.

Cozy club, perfect venue for a hip-hop show. Drink selection and prices are fair, sound system is very good. Had a blast watching Onyx and JD Era perform.

Hip Hop's #1 place for small shows is still going! Love comin' here bc I can toke outside while hearing/waiting for the headliners to come on (usually later than expected... to sell more drinks? 6$ for bottle water) & then you're ALL at the front stage ;) Great Meet and Greets too!

Google
Very nice place with the dancefloor featuring amazing light shows and a really cozy side bar with sofas if you need to take a break. The vibe was immaculate, but this depends more on the artist playing than the place I would assume, but it still helps that the venue was actually nice. Unfortunately, the drinks were really bad and overpriced. 6$ for a bottle of water is a bit much I would think.

Yelp
Went here for a Royce da 5'9 show, it was great. Can't say more about this place than that, really...

Yelp
The bouncers suck. They're super rude and you have to check in you coats. We were the only two minorities and we were the only ones to get tap down and asked to check in our coats while everyone else had their coat on them. I've noticed The bouncer really taps you down and sees if you have stuff on your coats and then he asks to get it checked in. After seeing the other reviews, I'm glad I didn't leave it with them. I'm pretty sure it's a scheme to steal your stuff

Yelp
This is kind of a cross between a music venue and a regular bar. Just past the entrance is a decent sized room with a bar, pool table and tv's, while down the hallway is the huge venue room with the stage, dance floor, another bar, and both an upper and lower sitting area. I came to see the Nosaj Thing/ Daedelus show and Le Belmont was pretty decent. The sound in the room was good and the room is big enough that it wasn't crazy packed inside. I liked that there were plenty of places to dance/ sit.The drinks were average priced, nothing special. My only complaint is that Le Belmont forces you to check your coat. I don't understand why so many places in Montreal force checking in coats. Is it about the money? I've heard enough horror stories about coat checks losing/stealing coats and I don't want to be forced to hand over my nice and shiny leather jacket just to be able to see a show. Plus, waiting in line to get my jacket back after the show and dealing with bitchy coat check girls SUCKS. Overall a decent venue, but definitely not my favorite.

Yelp
So after spending Thursday night mostly walking around St. Laurent and St. Crescent going into a couple of smallish venues, I wander into this place and found the coolest scene I've been to since Therapy in Providence. Very good Techno and House music, very reasonable drink prices, a crowd that actually mostly just wants to dance! So right away I dive in and its not too crowded, the place is'nt very big, but on this trip I noticed that the biggest club they used to have has burned down and all the other ones are medium sized now, so by present day standards, this is probably one of the biggest. It never gets too crowded and I left at my usual early one AM and finally felt like I found a home. Its really interesting how the people who like Techno and House tend to not be too aggressive with the women, who just want to dance for dancing sake, oh yeah this club was the closest thing to a rave, which ironically is something I have never been to. The closest thing to this place that I can remember is someplace in some strip mall off of the big highway that goes from the West to the East in the Northeast part of Montreal, I think ten years ago when I was here by myself I went to, that place was very big and might have been called Millinenium or something. This will be the first place I go to on my next trip!

Yelp
This place is ok but it's not for me. The drinks are well priced and cheap and there's enough space to go around to socialize and stuff but the type of people who go here are not my kinda crowd. It seems to be quite a few posersome here to check out rap shows here and this place screams wannabe gangsters on certain nights and way too many young people here. I only go to this bar on rap nights.

Yelp
Haha The Belmont, huge family with probly the most amazing events in Montreal for many years, the best underground beat makers and the most famous shared the scene on this amazing fusion club with the best crowd... amazing staff... Barmaids are super friendly and the place is great. On the down side... The security is not totally profetional, some do a very good job I am not saying the security is bad but there is lacks in it. I tested it myself to see how bad and easy it was for minors to get it, Found a 16 yo girl who was wandering in front and have her get in with me and see if they IDed her... Nope she got in just fine and took a beer with me laughting about it... Also one day a Security agent came to tell me I smelled bad or something... O_o Was a VERY weird experience for me because people who dance usualy sweat and yeah sweat stinks we are not here to smell roses... but even knowing that... I had just started dancing like 15 min ago I was not in sweat yet... I was freshly out of the shower, shaved and pampered... like wtf... Either the dude did not like my after shave smell... or maybe he just forgot to brush his teeth before going to work. Anyways I dont think its the job of a security guard to go to people who has a perfume he dont like and tell them... It is completly unprofetional, disgraceful but maybe he was trying to try to get me violent to kick me out of the club, this kind of insulting probly usualy works with the typical douchebags. Because yes the popularity of the Belmont sadly also brang it its fair amount of douches... enought to make Vilify go away... but yeah did not work on me I just laughted like wtf this is how security treat guestlist people here ? (BTW I was on the guestlist that night and was pretty known in the place)

Yelp
I have been to many shows at Le Belmont since it turned into an outlet for electronic music performances, and they have consistently been amazing. The quality of acts that pass through the venue is top notch, and Big Freedia on Jan 28 was no exception. Great sound, tight set times, and a great crowd. I was feeling a bit under the weather on that cold Monday night, but after that high energy NOLA bounce injection I believe in the healing power of booty.

Yelp
Bartender poured me two shots of jack with ice, then gave me $4 back from my $20. I was like "16 bucks??" and she tried to explain how she gave me two ounces of jack which is $8 per ounce, as though I didn't know I was holding exactly two shots with ice. The same drink cost me $10 at the same place from another bartender. They steal from you and lie to your face when called out.

Yelp
I visited le Belmont to see !!! perform and I was pleasantly surprised. My only previous experience had been walking by the lineups of people waiting to get in Saturday nights, so I didn't know what to expect. Not huge, but quite nicely sized for a concert venue. The acoustics were decent. I really appreciated that there was a mezzanine that included booths, so we could choose between standing/dancing in the crowd, or chilling sitting down. The bar is tucked in the back of the space, underneath the mezzanine. My only complaint is that the sound booth wasn't really a booth, it was just a table set up on the dancefloor, but I guess that's more a complaint the sound guy should be making, and not me (I get paranoid someone is going to dance right into it). I will keep my eyes peeled for future shows here.

Yelp
The sound here is never what it needs to be, always distorted and unclear. Plus I have had nothing but poor experiences with bouncers and coat check (sometimes doubling as both). I shall not be returning.

Yelp
The girls in the coat-check STOLE one of the items I checked in. I checked in 3 items (sweater, hoodie & winter coat). At the end fo the evening I went with my ticket to pick up my clothes and the hoodie was missing. I asked what had happened and described the hoodie. They said that it was not in the coat-check room any more, I asked them to look again, but they said it was not there. One girl said that she remembered giving the hoodie to someone else (which is not possible since they would have needed my ticket). I told the girls that it was a birthday gift from Japan and I would appreciate it if they looked again (I was hoping their conscience would get the better of them). They told me I had to leave because the club was closing, and kicked me out.

Yelp
This place is weird. Everyone was standing watching the dj, not dancing. They all looked kinda grimy and unwashed. Honestly I can't believe I paid $20 to go in there. But if you're angsty af and still listen to avril levine or are a middle aged guy who skateboards everywhere then this might be the place for you

Yelp
I went to the Jess Glynne concert and the A/C was turned off. The place was packed and everyone was drenched in sweat, including Jess Glynne and her band. It was a very horrible experience. I was really looking forward to seeing her live but the stuffiness and heat kept distracting me. I ended up leaving early! I will not be returning here!
