The 12 Most Romantic Restaurants in Palm Beach

"This New York transplant has been a favorite on the Upper East Side since 1986. When Bilbo, as regulars call Le Bilboquet, arrived in Palm Beach, it brought the scent of the South of France to an Art Deco courtyard off of Worth Avenue. Walk through a narrow, covered walkway to a courtyard filled with tables and umbrellas that fill with diners looking for Bilbo favorites like foie gras, persimmon salad, and its signature dish, Cajun chicken. Leave room for the chocolate mousse for dessert." - J. Miller

Le Bilboquet offers a pleasant dining experience overall. The service was very good – attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The food, while decent, wasn’t particularly memorable or outstanding. Presentation was standard, nothing too fancy or luxurious. That said, the ambiance of the place is quite nice, with a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a well-run restaurant with good service and a nice setting, Le Bilboquet is a solid choice – just don’t expect to be blown away by the food.

Had a great experience at Le Bibloquet in Palm Beach. From the moment we approached the host’s podium to the moment we left, staff was friendly and quite accommodating. Showed up about 30 minutes early for our reservation. They offered gait us inside until our table opened up outside. Luckily table opened up just that moment, but their hospitable notion was appreciated and shouldn’t go unnoticed. Our server was great, knowledgeable of the menu and made sure we would enjoy our experience. The Cajun chicken was extremely moist and succulent, the Cajun spices not overpowering and the sauce was perfect, creamy and not overly rich. And the dessert was one of our favorites we had during our stay down here. Can’t remember the name of it unfortunately but the raspberry sorbet was refreshing and paired well with the meringue crisps.

Had dinner at Le Bilboquet and everything hit the spot. We sat outside on a beautiful night, which made the whole experience even better. Started with the tuna crudo—super fresh and light—then had the salmon and the prime New York steak frites. Both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Finished off with the profiteroles for dessert—light, crisp, and the perfect sweet ending. Great atmosphere, great service. Solid pick for a nice night out.

A stunning restaurant tucked away in a beautiful setting on Worth Ave, Le Bilboquet is one of my favorite restaurants in Palm Beach. It’s elegant, the menu, the food and service are all excellent- the bar is fun and lively with wonderful bartenders, wine lists and cocktails. The Owner, the Managers, and staff are simply incredible - all there to ensure you have an impeccable dining experience. And the chef! 💯 - don’t miss Le Bilboquet on your trip to Palm Beach. A wonderful choice for a special occasion 🥂

Always a great experience at Le Bilboquet. I’ve been to the Sag Harbor location quite often and recently checked out the Palm Beach location and it was so cute! Food was good and the staff was really friendly!

Set in a secluded Mediterranean oasis, this restaurant reminds me of the bistros of southern France. The dishes are tasty and plated with care. The atmosphere and ambience is light-filled and brightly colored, and the clientele tends to be sophisticated and well dressed. The only ding was somewhat slow service.

Google
This one is on me. I should have sent back my chicken but I was coming from church and feeling holy. I ordered their signature Cajun chicken based on the recommendation from the lady at my church who recommended the restaurant. First of all, the chicken didn't look Cajun at all, since it was covered in a white, creamy sauce. And it was completely bland. I asked for salt but that didn't help the flavor at all. As a former restauranteur, amateur chef & foodie, if you're going to name your signature dish as Cajun, you'd better bring some spice to it. Service was excellent and they have some wealthy patrons. If I hadn't got the raving recommendation for the Cajun chicken, I love a lobster roll. It's hard to get that wrong so if I ever go back, I'll try that on their brunch menu. It's a decent restaurant worth a second look.

Beautiful atmosphere, nice service, food is ok, lobster roll for $47 should be better

Yelp
Perfection all the way around. Food a 10 Service a 10 Ambiance a 10 Pictured as promised in my last review is the Gazpacho which is wonderful.

Yelp
The restaurant was beautiful and had an elevated vibe. For a French spot I expected to see escargot and the like. Unfortunately not on the menu. Food was good, but not worth the high price value. Wine felt overpriced with a tremendous markup ($190 for Belle Glos, a $40 retail bottle). I don't know, I left wanting more.

Yelp
Loved this restaurant, food was amazing and overall atmosphere very nice I love French cuisine and will be back

Yelp
Le Bilboquet is a beautiful restaurant with great decor, and warm friendly service... but the food was sadly lacking. I tried a new appetizer which was their pate, it was uninspired and plated in the most sad way... thankfully I was able to move on to the chicken which was a tad salty, but pretty decent....its a place for a good cocktail and to be seen, but definitely not tasted. Le Bil-meh-quet it is... come for a drink.. dont stay for the food.

Yelp
Great Ambiance; disappointing food and service. We've been regulars at Le Bilboquet for years. The ambiance is always great. Sadly, the food and service have gone down hill, while prices have risen. It's no longer the fine dining experience we had come to expect. This evening our waiter was perfunctory at best. He took away our bread plates without asking if we wanted bread. Twice he brought dirty dishes. Mostly he was just absent. The NY strip steak was mediocre at best. Not thick, not particular juicy or tasty. The fries were over cooked. The Lobster bisque was tasty but the lobster was scant. The Lobster au Curry was tasty but it had even less lobster. Perhaps 1/4 of a tail. Sadly. This time the whole experience was disappointing.

Yelp
I thought it was great but I just came for a light bite and cocktails. All of the staff members were attentive and helpful, and everyone looked like models. I didn't have any service issues at all like previous reviewers did but I wasn't there for dinner. It's a very cool and stylish vibe with a pleasant ambience inside and outside. A bit minimalistic but I'm a pleasing aesthetic way. It's very expensive but I think most places like this in the heart of Palm Beach are so not much of a surprise.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday dinner because I love the Le Bilboquet in Atlanta. However, I was not impressed by the Palm Beach location. The restaurant was extremely muggy inside -- felt like the air conditioning was broken, but when we asked, our waitress said it was working just fine. The service was disappointing -- our waitress was nice, but was very inattentive; I ended up pouring wine for the table. The food was good, but the dishes are overpriced. The Les Moules Marinières et Frites were very good, and the Le Poulet Cajun was also pretty good. The Le Vacherin for dessert was very disappointing -- the entire dessert was rock hard. On the plus side, there is complimentary valet.

Yelp
Excellent service, Cajun Chicken is the best in the world. Cool atmosphere, salads, and other plates are excellent as well. The charcuterie and cheeses really cool also.

Yelp
Just had dinner there this evening for the first time What a disappointment Waiter had no idea what he was talking about Had lamb chops He said 4-5. Only 2 came. Asked for Med rare came out well done. So thin no meat Never apologized after I told him Needed extra gravy. Huge disappointment for so much money

Yelp
Late night table for me and my colleague that wanted sweets and for me craving savory night cap. We were surprised the restaurant had space for us and when we sat we were pleasantly surprised that we could still order food. Cocktail was delicious, and they even offered a NA pairing for my colleagues dessert choice. I had the cioppino and a delicious wine selected by our waiter. Ambiance is lovely, lots of fun was had that night and every table around us was having a blast. Definitely a place to be and to be seen if you're in PB.

Yelp
What a lovely surprise with this outdoor patio seating. It was raining out but there are beautiful large umbrellas that kept us completely dry as we listened to the beautiful rain. Dover sole abs new york steak were cooked to perfection and lobster bisque was one of my favorites!

Natalie C.

Yelp
Went there last month... the salmon tartar special was inedible (prepared so poorly -- the gray underskin was visible on most pieces and it looked like it was hacked, not sliced) and the mussels were simply ok. I love the atmosphere in season but in the summer time, when there weren't lots of people, mediocre (and expensive) food is hard to forget. I give it a 5/10 (food and cocktails). I probably will try again when season starts. Service was excellent though.

Crystal C.

Yelp
Below average food with above average prices. Service was mid at best and they tried to seat us at some weird makeshift table with different chairs and different chair heights lol. We immediately asked to be moved to a table. For these prices, you shouldn't be sitting at a makeshift table. Duck confit and steak were dry.

Yelp
Epic fail.... Once a staple on Worth, I understand why they've dropped to 3 starts. Stopped in for a late lunch. Todays service was slow and underwhelming, water glasses ignored. Way too long for order to be taken. Sangria and lobster bisque to start. Mains of the house specialty Cajun chicken and I wanted the Cobb, with a protein swap of lobster instead of the chicken and I eagerly told waitress that any up charge is understood and most welcome. Since their house salad is a whole lobster shelled, a top greens, I did not expect a problem. Waitress came back and said nope. Manager came over and said nope. Why? Just charge me the house salad price (or more) and make it an eggless Cobb? Nope. No changes to the menu. Ok. Ate the soup, wife had the chicken and we left. Ah, on a side note, when you serve fries as a side to your house specialty, bring ketchup in a ramekin... would have asked for some, but the waitress wasn't coming back to our table. One waitress for the entire restaurant??? Won't be coming back. With La Goulue around the corner, which was our first choice, unfortunately they close at 2, better choices are not far away.

Yelp
One of the most incredible dining experiences in palm beach! The food is delicious and the service was incredible. Great place to celebrate a birthday as well.

Yoel N.

Yelp
This branch of this chain are thieves. They charge $195 for a bottle of Rose that other top class restaurants charge $45-$50. When you complain , they say we are a brand restaurant and we can charge anything we want. Very rude and dishonest people. The meitrdee is so rude and obnoxious

Yelp
Tucked away in a cute little alley is this gem. We went on a Saturday 15 minutes before our reservation and were seated immediately. We sat outside as it was really beautiful out. Our waiter remembered my boyfriend from his previous visit which was really great customer service. We had a few ideas of what we wanted to eat but still and for recommendations. He knew the menu well and gave great suggestions. The food was served promptly and it was great! We split the crab salad and skirt steak, for a side we ordered mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also got an off menu wine that really s3sled the deal and made this a fantastic lunch. The best part about the staff was that at one point sitting outside became unbearable due to the heat. We were swiftly taken inside without any issue or feeling of being a burden. Perfect for a small brunch, but looking forward to coming back for dinner.

Yelp
Great location. Worth Ave. Palm Beach. Park on street or valet. Service was good. Bread good. Muscles app good. Steak. Veal. Good. Get there. Make a reservation. One can sit inside or out.

Yelp
This used to be a high end restaurant in Palm Beach with a strict dress code. Not anymore. Last night we moved tables twice to get away from the drunk Brooklynites in cut off jeans and flip flops screaming "more shots!" On our second more, we went outside where the women were wearing cut off jeans and the men in muscle shirts. Super informal. WAY overpriced wine list, and not your typical three times the bottle price, SIX times the price. A $50 white wine for $300 is too much. The food sucked. The atmosphere sucked. The customers were wretchedly dressed. WILL NOT BE BACK!

Yelp
Why I'll go back: An atmosphere of Palm Beach trendy infused with NYC and European energy makes for a great dinner experience You HAVE to order: One of the soups - there is at least one hot and one cold "soup du jour." We've had three different ones and they were all absolutely delicious. Tony's Tip: Request a table inside. The courtyard is nice, but the scene is inside, and with Palm Beach's somewhat unpredictable weather, you want to avoid getting caught in a flash downpour (we've seen it on our last two visits). We've been to Le Bil three times for dinner (and once more a cocktail at the bar). The restaurant itself is not actually that big, but the electricity of the place is unrivaled in Palm Beach. This last visit was definitely our best: the food was phenomenal, service was professional and energetic, and drinks, apps, and entrees were spaced perfectly. Seriously, we've enjoyed practically everything we've ordered. Appetizer standouts for us are the Crab Avocado salad, Burrata (with snap peas!), and the soups. For entrees, I had the Veal Citron this latest time and it was tender with a robust and flavorful broth. My wife has had the lobster curry dish the last two visits - safe to say she's addicted now! The single misstep I've had here was a steak that was cooked medium well when I had requested medium rare. Maybe it was written down wrong, or delivered to the wrong table. Shame on me for not checking it and requesting a "do over" (I think I was tired and too hungry to wait another 15-20 minutes). To be candid, from cocktails to entrees, prices here are as high as you'll find anywhere on the island. But you're in Palm Beach, and places like Le Bil know they have to "bring it" or they won't survive. So despite what might be a hefty bill, you'll love the whole experience and leave knowing you did dinner right!

Q T.

Yelp
I brought my family here for dinner This was our first time. The hostess Olivia was so warm and inviting when she greeted us. The service from Laurent was exceptional. I have been to all the restaurants in Palm beach. This is by far the best. Considering the atmosphere, food and staff. I will always recommend this restaurant. You need to ask for Laurent and be sited in his section. Super service
google avatar

William A.

Yelp
Trashy. Waitress promoted specials and forgot to mention they were TRIPLE cost of normal menu items. Table next to us vaped entire time and blew smoke everywhere. Food was mediocre at best. If I could give 0 stars I would
google avatar

Jake W.

Yelp
Le B is a very nice looking restaurant. I have been to a few times and I especially like the outside gardens and the staff is usually friendly. The food though is so overpriced for what you get. I had a $42 Salmon that was a tiny piece of fish, more an appetizer size and it didn't even taste good. Their famous Cajun Chicken is good but nothing special. The cocktail list is mostly $24 drinks. I get Palm Beach is expensive but at least give good size portions and make sure the dishes are prepared perfectly. To pay a fortune for a pedestrian meal is very disappointing.

M L.

Yelp
WORST resteraunt on the island. Having been to Le Bib in Sag Harbor and Atlanta, I was looking forward to my experience. Instead, I get over cooked chicken, high-school-first-job level customer service, and cheap interior decorating. Make no mistake -- a McDonald's on the Island would be better.

Yelp
Gorgeous dining room and bar area, lovely patio. We sat outside on a nice night after a few days of particularly bad weather. The manager remembered my dad and stepmom from a previous visit and stopped by to chat and make some recommendations which was very nice. The 4 of us shared a selection of meat and cheeses to start which was large with a nice variety. The wine list is extensive and very impressive - we had a very good Cote Rotie. For entrees we ordered swordfish, the Cajun chicken, mussels, and scallops; we also shared an order of the mushroom risotto which was incredible. Everything was perfectly cooked and the meal was nicely coursed out. For dessert we shared the profiteroles; a perfect dessert if you just want a little bit of something sweet. One minor drawback is that our server seemed to be a bit in the weeds, so to speak...took a bit to check back, have someone bring share plates, make sure everything made it to the table etc. Somewhat excusable because it's a very busy time of year and the restaurant was packed, but he seemed a little stressed. For example, we were trying to decide on a dessert to share and as we were asking for his opinion he turned away to see what was going on at another table. We also wanted to put in appetizers and then wait a bit to decide on our entrees and he said, "I need to take the full order at once. Our chef is...interesting." A more diplomatic way of handling the situation would be to say, "I need to take the whole order, but I'll give everyone another minute to decide and I can make sure that the kitchen will time it so you have enough time to enjoy each course." He did redeem himself by suggesting an excellent cocktail. I always say this, but I think it's very unfair to complain/ remove stars based on the price of the food. Yes le bilbo is expensive, but every restaurant on palm beach island is expensive! TLDR: the food is very good. Restaurant is beautiful. Get the risotto and the cajun chicken. Tequila cocktail is excellent. Wine list is great.

Yelp
Absolutely my favorite place in Palm Beach on worth Avenue. The food is great and the service is amazing I highly recommend going here

Rick S.

Yelp
Every good food and lovely setting. The restaurant is about as good as it gets in Palm Beach and the bill makes sure you appreciate their efforts or you won't be back. E

Roland K.

Yelp
Food & service are good at this place. wine bottle prices are crazy expensive, least expensive wine on menu is $145 (red Sancerre) and waitstaff tells guests this is not a good wine! They should really have a more balanced wine list. With some wines under $100

John V.

Yelp
Nice restaurant doesn't live up to expectations. Beautiful but cramped outdoor setting, eager to please but inexperienced service, and inconsistent (ranging from poor to exceptional) food. Raw oysters were dry without brine-didn't seem to be freshly shucked. Signature chicken dish was excellent. Quality of ny strip steak seemed less than top notch, not as good as prior meals, but they likely changed in order to keep the same price. Tarte Tatin was out of this world! Stingy pours on wine; seems they switched to coupe glasses for martinis to reduce amount of gin. Warn friends about inconsistency before taking them there.

Jim J.

Yelp
Best way to describe this restaurant is very poorly run. Managers are inattentive, servers are pompous and rude, food and food preperation are mediocre at best. There are many great restaurants in Palm Beach. This is not one of them.

Joel F.

Yelp
Pretentious staff. Food not worth the aggravation of rudeness of hosts. Never be back.

Yoshi W.

Yelp
Stylish palm beach crowd. Very busy. Very expensive. Decent menu Food good. Service excellent

Yelp
One of the worst dining experiences I ever had. While I did not have to deal with the infamous "Martin" the hostess and rest of the waitstaff were clearly judgemental of my party, likely because we were college aged. I did not think anything of it and assumed it was just the posh nature of such an establishment. However, I soon realized my suspicions were true. After being seated, our waiter (I do jot know his name), took our initial orders. No issue. After our appetizer of a Charcuterie board arrived (the contents were not listed on the menu), I had a question about one of the items. The waiter had not checked on us since taking our order. Instead, Two very kind and hardworking ladies in pink polo shirts would continuously come to our table and fill our water at every moment. Since they were the only staff coming around, I asked one of them the question. They did not know the answer and said that they would ask someone else. No issue. The issue was when our waiter scolded the young lady for talking to us. I could not believe it. After his scolding, he came over and belittlingly told me what one of the contents were as if I were too stupid to belong there. When the food finally arrived, it was mediocre. I would not have an issue with it if it weren't for the price. It was the worst food I ever had when considering the price to quality ratio. I ordered the filet and I can guarantee that they put zero seasoning on it. Not even salt or pepper. I felt like a caveman eating meat. It made Outback look good. The waiter came back to check in on our meals, only to find that one of the members in my party's beef tartar was not right. I do not eat beef tartar, but according to those in my party who do, Le Bilboquet's Beef Tartar is weird. I cannot personally confirm nor deny this sentiment. The waiter then came back for a third and final time to issue the check, to which they actutool off the beef tartar. This was the only positive experience here, despite it resulting from a negative one. I'm pretty sure we gave a 0% or 10% tip, with the rest being handed to the young lady who was scolded by the waiter. She was the only one who treated us with kindness and made us feel welcomed. All in all, this restaurant ranks as my worst dining experience of all time. This restaurant does not produce excellent meals with new and exciting flavors. This restis merely a status symbol. I'd be shocked to hear that anyone comes here because the food is good. I guarantee the appeal of this place is to just say you are eating here. It's like the Dorsia of Palm Beach (Dorsia would probably has good food though). Do not come here!
google avatar

Secil A.

Yelp
Cajun chicken was really good. We got the foie gras terrine as appetizer and the burrata. The foie gras had a lot of fat around it and the brioche came cold. The burrata was simply flavorless. The Cajun chicken, their special tasted good. The French fries that came with it were good as well. I got their saint germain drink that was really bad and tasted watered down. For dessert we got tarte tatin and ice cream cake. Ice cream cake was good, the tarte tatin wasn't. I would give this place a 3.5

Cj S.

Yelp
I have eaten at Bilboquet many times and this evening changed my whole view. I had stopped by with my partner for a drink & the hostess greeted us in a usual great way ready to show us to the bar. As this happened, a gentleman stepped in front of us and informed us that the restaurant was "fully committed" for the evening, even as we viewed multiple open seats at the bar. He was arrogant, condescending and will be the reason I no longer eat at Bilboquet moving forward. Thanks for the distant memories.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
My friend and I dined here for a Saturday late lunch. We ordered a bunch of apps to munch on, smoked salmon, caviar(super buttery and delicious), shrimp cocktail(great quality jumbo shrimp), I believe the last app we ordered was an avocado and crab dish. I can not find a menu online to double check. For an entree, I had the lobster roll which was extremely rubbery and did not taste at all like fresh, real lobster meat. It was actually the worst lobster roll I have ever had. The appetizers were all great however, the ice melted so quickly that the caviar was placed on top of that water was in the caviar, and after pointing this out to the waitress she did absolutely nothing about it. That I found to be unacceptable.

Yelp
I got the Pollo Milanese. Natural food with homemade taste. Highly recommend. Quiet area to have a nice lunch with friends or family. Service is kind and respectful.

Nancy P.

Yelp
Service was very good. We went for lunch and ordered one bouillabaisse for both of us as the lunch was $110 and we were not that hungry and the cost was ridiculous. I have lived in France as has my companion. We were charged in addition for the bread. Ridiculous. The meal did not measure up at all. Sad. Will never return.

Yelp
Tried to go here on my BIRTHDAY, on a Thursday night and the guy at the hostess stand was so rude. I said "oh I'm just gonna go to the bar" , he says "we are not taking anymore people in, the bar is full". The bar was NOT full, there was plenty room for me and my friend to go sit and have a drink. What did I not look like a PALM BEACHER, is it because my friend has braids? he didn't know what I do for a living, how much I make, what kind of credit cards I have etc.... I am on the ISLAND almost everyday dealing with many nice people who are my clients, who would never treat anyone like this. My guess is this man who was maybe the manager , probably doesn't even live on the island and definitely needs a big lesson in CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will NEVER spend my money here and neither should anyone else. They clearly do not know how to treat people who obviously were willing to spend money there.

Yelp
This is a lovely place to spend a Sunday. The Nicoise Salad is very good and while a little pricey,it is a wonderful ambiance. Enjoy the food and sit back and relax.

Yelp
Lovely setting with a classic French menu. Excellent service. Went for my birthday and was not disappointed.

Yelp
Make your reservation early. They fill up but they do their best to accommodate and they are throwback solid on customer service. I was skeptical due to the hype - and prices. But I have been there several times now and I like it. My experience with the service has been good. I'm told they send their best servers back to their store in the Hamptons for summer though so things may change on that note. I love their specialty drinks. I think the flavors of their soups are tops, and I don't care for chicken but everyone raves about their chicken salad special. Prices are insane but you know that going in so if you want great value, this is not your place. One caution - we usually travel with a larger group and when I try to book for more than 5 here, they want to do a prefix menu and it is very limited and upward of $200/pp. even for kids. That's insane. This place is best for parties of 2 or 4 at the most. You're going for the experience, nice French food, to see and be seen, to sip nice cocktails in Palm Beach. Can you find that other places? Sure. Does Le B capture it well? They do. Enjoy!
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Had an early reservation and called several times to try to get a table inside. They could not guarantee it but thankfully we were seated inside. The server was very attentive and told us he could not take our order till we were ready with the whole order. He said the chef was busy and wanted all courses ordered at once. The octopus was perfectly tender and delicious. We also ordered the endive and Roquefort salad - perfect amount to share. As an entree we shared the veal. Everything was good but the standout dish was the octopus - I would give that 4 stars They did have a good selection for French wines but their prices are double what they are worth. Overall I would give the restaurant a 3.5 stars

Yelp
Very obnoxious restaurant, 400 dollar cancellation fee. Valentine's Day food was a disgrace, and we could not order an appetizer without having to order a main course. Very poor service, and they could not tell us what was in the food. Even McDonald's is better than this restaurant
google avatar

Yelp
Very good. Great steak fabulous apps and powerful but creative drinks. Quite the scene.

Yelp
This restaurant is superior on ALL levels to all the other restaurants in Palm Beach!

Yelp
Sh*t food, sh*t service, never ever coming back. Among other sh*tty and obnoxious things, they yelled at my one-year old baby for touching a hanging toy soldier! No wonder they have to pre-charge for the reservation.

Samuel S.

Yelp
The overall ambiance of the restaurant is lovely. Tucked away behind a hall it gives you a feeling that you are dining at a high end hole in the wall. Unfortunately, the staff are very rude and it's blatant that it's a spot for regulars. If you aren't seen there often they will completely disregard you. Don't bother trying to sit at the bar they save those seats and will tell you you can't sit there. The food is okay but not anywhere near what they should be charging for it. The cocktails are nice thankfully. Expect the moment you sit down to be rushed though. They will want you to place your drinks appetizers and entrees as soon as possible before rushing you out the door. I wouldn't go back, plenty of nicer, higher end establishments to go to in PB.

Four of us outside. Lovely. I had creamed spinach as an appetizer then steak tartare. Yummy. Service was great. Dale loved what she had for dinner but sensed that the crowd was a bit "much"............I didn't have that feeling. I'd come back. Dale, maybe.
