"After reaching Le Bistrot de Lagarde, Lorenzo Ferro and Pénélope Verheyen's hilltop seasonal kitchen, you're rewarded with all manner of treats, like produce from France and Ferro's native Liguria, Italy; cheese from La Fromagerie d'Albion, up the road; and cochon from six miles away. Ferro and Verheyen, who comes from nearby Apt, found the space, a restaurant in a former life, early in the pandemic and reopened it last summer."

A fantastic zen-like lunch experience in the heart of the wild nature at 1100m altitude at the Plateau Albion. A well composed and delicious 3 course menu at 50€ accompanied by regional wines. I had the tomatoes&smoked salmon, the pork and the roasted peaches for deserts - all great. The pre and post snacks were also very good. Gentle and efficient service. Definitely worth the climb. D

Spectacular location…and surprising to find such as great restaurant in a seemingly isolated spot. That takes some courage! The food is seasonal and changes by the month; ours was early October and, for my personal taste, I thought some dishes were not yet fully resolved and am sure this occurs over the month. That does not take away from some great courses served with charm and style. Highly recommended and we will try to return

High up in the hills above Apt, this restaurant is a culinary utopia. Our menu was made up of 3 Starters then a choice between 2 main course and then cheese or 2 desserts. Each dish was a delicious work of art. The staff were friendly and entertaining whilst the venue is cosy and beautifully decorated. The day we went had dreadful weather which made the restaurant all the more cosy. Reasonably priced with a Michelin star, I highly recommend a visit to Le Bistrot de Lagarde.

A restaurant worth a detour! The new young owners welcomed me and my wife with a stunning EUR 50 menu. Great amuse bouche and the special nut-mascarpone stuffed leaks are to die for. Very pretty inside and outside. Inventive yet firmly rooted in the local cuisine with a hint of Liguria. Thank you!

Very unique place completely remote, great food (fusion Italian and Provencal), super nice service and good prices.

We've been here twice now - both times the food, wine, and service were excellent. Plus the setting is beautiful. Highly recommend!

While in search for the perfect sunset spot, I discovered this incredible restaurant, in the most unexpected location !!! I arrived unprepared on this warm day, attire less than stellar, 2 canine companions and without a reservation however, there was sitting available. The lady of the house, Penelope, greeted us with a warm smile and, asked right away if the pups needed water. I felt welcome and the doggies were at ease. The restaurant is intimate, the decor simple and minimalist, as to keep the focus on the dining experience and, the farandole of plates that will eventually ornate the tables, as the dinner progresses. The proposition is a set monthly menu for 50€ per person. I appreciated the opportunity to embark on culinary adventure destination unknown. From the very first bite, I realized that I was in for quite a treat. Amuse-Bouche, appetizer and so on, each prepared with precision, artistry and many delicate touches, there is a passionate soul working in the kitchen, it shows. Each course was as much of a feast to the eyes as it was delectable to my taste buds. What a pleasure to the palet. I enjoyed this unexpected outing immensely and strongly recommend Le Bistrot de Lagarde d'Apt, the pups too, they had a tiny sample but shhh, the Chef doesn't know about it 😉 I didn't see the sunset that day but, I discovered an unforgettable restaurant and also learned, for a bit of history, that Lagarde d'Apt was a station post for wounded American soldiers during WWII. Merci encore pour votre accueil chaleureux 💥 Eliane

Excellent restaurant! Provided a vegetarian option which was scrumptious, very reasonable price for excellent food and in a gorgeous setting. Penelope was very pleasant and professional and we kept getting spoiled by some amuse-bouches at various points. The texture of the food was particularly noticeable along with taste. Highly recommended.
