"The ‘blue’ of this ‘bistro of the blues’ refers to the blue in the French flag, which represents liberty. The young chef and sommelier enthusiastically pour out their passion for French cuisine. Home cooking from throughout France, such as choucroute and bouillabaisse, are available à la carte. Doors open at 3pm. Its location in a narrow restaurant row and the casual atmosphere within capture the bistro’s spirit of freedom." - Michelin Inspector
A charming French bistro tucked away in Hiroo, offering an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The food quality is outstanding, complemented by a well-curated selection of wines. Dinner here is not only affordable but also a true delight for the palate. Highly recommended! Kento-san is exceptionally talented, warm, and sociable (and good looking)which makes the experience even more memorable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

We seriously had the best lamb chops of our lives here, and we’ve been round the block a few times. They were succulent, perfectly cooked and rendered beautifully. Apparently they were seared, roasted and grilled over charcoal. Everything else was great too and despite a small issue, the head chef made things right. I will forever remember the lamb and hope to come back at some point

The chefs made every dish with heart. Good taste, nice presentation and excellent services! Will definitely come back again for those dishes that we have not yet tried.

on a mixed restaurant floor in a building near Hiroo station, Le Bistrot des Bleus stood out as the most popular and was an absolute treat. great food, wine and service. must try the homemade bread-crusted meats and foi gras pate, the butter and curry cauliflower, the lamb, etc. smallish wine selection but excellent reds. great high ball with Port Charlotte.whisky.

French bistro nested in a vibrant yokocho-style indoor avenue, this restaurant is backed by a conglomerate that also operates one the few 3-Michelin star French restaurants in Tokyo, L’Effervescence. The atmosphere is lively and intimate, and the team of young, passionate cooks brings delicious enthusiasm to every dish. I really appreciated the care and creativity in their food. The menu stays true to traditional French cuisine, while also holding a non-pretentious charm to it. Wine selection is decent and staff are warm and attentive.
It’s the kind of restaurant you want to come back to again. Very happy that they got nominated as Michelin Bib Gourmand—very well deserved.

The food was absolutely amazing!
Marinated sardines / tripe stew: both super tender and flavourful
Bouillabaise: the prawns and clams were full of umami. Great value for money considering the generous amount of seafood that came with it.
The staff was very friendly too!

This meal was INCREDIBLE!!! We were stumbling upon the internet for a great place to eat and were not disappointed. We came about 30 minutes by train and it may have been my favorite meal of the trip! This was really awesome as I have a terrible gluten allergy (celiac/coeliac). Cross contamination is a no-go for me and this place RULED. The staff was so knowledgeable about my allergy and made sure I knew what I could and could not eat. I could eat 90% of the menu (a bit difficult around here) and our entire party thought the food was to die for!! We had the potatoes gratin, curry cauliflower, bouillabaisse, fish beignets (not GF), pickled veggies, and oxtail. Tried to take photos before we ate but we devoured it all SO FAST!!!!!
Bonus: Excellent local wine and our waiter (also the manager) was the kindest and friendliest soul. You can tell how much he cares about his business and the customers who come to the restaurant. Glad to have gotten the chance to meet and dine with him. THANK YOU SHOGO ♡ ♡
