Le Boudes la vigne

We arrived in muddy hiking clothes for a bite to eat and they served us one of the best meals of our lives. The a-la carte is pricey, but they do a walker's menu on weekday lunchtimes which is exceptional value at €20 a head. An absolutely terrific meal with a few amuse bouches thrown in for good measure. The chef came out and said hello to us at the end. Hard to beat as an experience.

Friendly welcome, clean and tidy room, comfortable bed. Best of all was the food, we enjoyed the menu "Découverte" - every course was a perfect balance of ingredients and flavours. Congratulations to the chef de cuisine. We departed this morning after a simple, fresh, continental breakfast. Thank you.

I had an excellent meal during Easter at very good value. The French owners were very nice and the service very friendly. The village is very cosy in the Auvergne region in France. Worth the trip and will come back next time i am in the region.

Food wasn't up to Bib Gourmand standards with tough chewy beef and duck, with no sign of pinkness inside. ||Bedrooms very small and basic but good value bearing in mind the prices. ||Staff are friendly and delightful small wine village.

We stayed in Boudes on the way back from Spain in our motorhome and discovered this wonderfull, authentic French hotel restaurant in the middle of this picturesque rural village. The food was exceptional and possibly one of the best meals I have ever had at such an amazing price; the menu offered several fixed price options with a selection of courses within each. You will need to speak some French though as the staff spoke little or no English and you will probably be the only non-French customers. Just try it for yourself - you will certainly not be disappointed.

Great hotel and restaurant in a beautiful village. Staff was nice and they kept my bike safe during the night. I had a tasting menu and some local wone and it was awesome!
