Le Bougainvillier - Restaurant Gastronomique de La Villa Mauresque

I don’t usually leave reviews but felt compelled because I felt the negative comments were not reflective of my experience at all. I found Le Bougainvillier to be a wonderful combination of a beautiful setting, delicious food with thoughtful and artistic presentation, and a delightful and knowledgeable staff. I stayed at the hotel to recover from a work trip and dined here my first night. I was by myself but instead of making me feel awkward, the staff went out of their way to make my experience special and make me feel included. It is a tasting menu but that is the experience and the restaurant is very clear about that in all of their menus and marketing. I recommend the wine pairing which was fantastic with a focus on natural/sustainable wines. I loved one of them so much I took a bottle home. Merci to this team! I hope to return some day!

Right. So we recently visited the Restaurant for dinner. Firstly there was no Ala carte options and we had only 1 choice to go for set menu of 95 euros a person. We thought fine, let’s go for it. So I have been to fair few restaurants in my time and I have to say overall the restaurant was pretty disappointing. There was no atmosphere and no other tables occupied but that’s still not an issue as food is the main attraction of this restaurant. Food was average, it looks very instagram friendly and very pretty but taste was not great. The portions very super small, the lamb as you can see from the picture was so small in size. The desserts were also disappointing / some strawberry based with marshmallow thing which was weird too. So in summary won’t be going there again. My verdict - 2/5 Meal for 2 is still 250 euros with 1/2 bottle of local wine. Which was actually quite nice and the only thing which was good was the sommelier/ and his recommendation on rose and red wines. Rest was pretty ordinary.

Notre déjeuner à la Villa Mauresque nous a offert une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle, mêlant des saveurs originales de très grande qualité gustative, le tout dans une atmosphère idyllique. Le cadre est sublime, avec une vue imprenable sur la mer dans un décor raffiné qui rappelle les palais orientaux. Le service est irréprochable : le personnel offre un accueil très agréable et sait se montrer attentif, chaleureux tout au long du repas. Chaque plat est apporté et présenté comme un voyage gustatif, nous surprenant et nous touchant par leur présentation autant que par leur goût. Le rapport qualité-prix est vraiment très bon. Nous avons tous grandement apprécié cette expérience.

Restaurant gastronomique non étoilé avec des prix élevés (490€ pour deux personnes) et un emplacement exceptionnel. La cuisine est excellente (je recommande particulièrement toute la carte, mais surtout le bœuf). Le personnel est aux petits soins. J'y retournerai sans hésiter. Seul bémol : les toilettes étaient "sales" et la porte ne fermait pas correctement, ce qui n'est vraiment pas à la hauteur du lieu et du cadre.

A nouveau enchantés par ce lieu et la qualité de la cuisine. Un vrai délice, pas une seule fausse note de l'apéritif jusqu'aux mignardises, et beaucoup d'originalité et de fraîcheur dans les recettes. Nous avons adoré notre soirée, et comme cela devient une habitude pour notre anniversaire de mariage...à l'année prochaine ! (Ou avant d'ailleurs :)

Nous connaissions déjà le restaurant pour son cadre exceptionnel mais désormais la gastronomie est à la hauteur de son lieu d’exception. Nous avons extrêmement bien mangé. Qualité et créativité. Service impeccable. Options sans gluten très bien intégrées au menu. Un moment simplement délicieux! A découvrir encore et encore.

Une repas exceptionnel. Nous avons adoré notre expérience au restaurant Le Bougainvillier de la Villa Mauresque. Le cadre est exceptionnel. Le service est excellent et ce dès l'accueil par le voiturier. Le sommelier est top et le service parfaitement rodé. Notre jeune serveuse était parfaite. Nous avons vraiment beaucoup aimé ce dîner avec l'accord mets et vins. Tous les plats sont magnifiques avec beaucoup de saveurs et une présentation particulièrement soignée. Le jeune chef est vraiment très talentueux. Un grand bravo à tout l'équipe pour l'efficacité, le professionnalisme et la convivialité.
