Where To Eat In The Middle Of The Day In Paris - Paris - The Infatuation

"There are always lines outside Bouillon’s two locations, and that’s because from noon to midnight every single day, the kitchens pump out classic French dishes at super low prices (€20 can get you exactly eight orders of oeuf mayo, should that be the direction you want to take your day). Swing by the one in Republique after walking around the Marais or the Pigalle outpost if you're in Montmartre. Order the onion soup, snails with parsley butter, and the quarter roast chicken with fries as you map out which wine bar you’ll be hitting up for apéro." - sophie friedman

I had a delightful lunch here in the noon hour on an early Autumn Thursday and the place was not busy. I ordered steak au poivre avec frites and salad and it was expertly made to order. My companion’s tartare was to her approval (I prefer my beef cooked, but whatevs, when in Paris, right?). Nice atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices for central Paris. A Thumbs up to this Bouillon.

A good local restaurant (and franchise) with reliable quality French food, while innovating on a number of culinary creations. Perhaps a bit too oily/buttery for the carrot puree to my taste. The rest was very decent and deserves serious attention

A nice refuge from the touristy brasseries. Food is solid, simple and filing. The staff are what make this place special. Happy to chat in my broken French and their bits of English. Nice to be away from the motorbikes on the larger avenues and boulevards. Helped me identify a better vegetarian choice!

Nice Chicken Caesar, added Pommes Frites of course. Quiet street with Crêperie nearby. Service is attentive and quick. English and French spoken here

Nice sunny terrace for a drink and light bistrot food. Chairs are comfy and tables spaced out so you can stay a while and relax away from main traffic and street noise except for occasional scooters in and out of parking at the curb. Hopefully in a couple of years they'll all be electric! On the pricey side but fair enough for the peacefulness and competent service.

Very close to our holiday apartment, this corner cafe became our regular little local and we loved it, we were looked after really well and they were very accommodating and understanding of our limited linguistic skills, food and drinks were great... Top recommendation to the burgers and the tiki bouillon cocktail.

Food was ok, service was terrible. The owner is everything that’s wrong with Parisian reputation.
