Celebrate Pride at New Orleans Gay Bars, LGBTQ-Owned Restaurants, and Queer-Friendly Spaces | Eater New Orleans

"Formerly Grand Pre’s, Le Cabaret has made its mark with a robust calendar of performance art: Clown Church, themed drag shows, and most Sundays, a hot dog drag bingo, enough said. Smack dab on the parade route, this little bar that could is a blast. Potent drinks and a nice patio, too." - Beth D’Addono

Hallie, Tim, and Lissa were the most welcoming crew we’ve ever experienced. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were among old friends. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and full of that New Orleans charm — honestly, it made me want to move there. Can’t wait to come back!

For decades I have gone there and tipped 2-4 dollars on 6- 8 dollar drinks. I was there today, two drink over 3 hours, left to get a sandwich from quarter grocery. Came back, sat at outside chair, guy came out & said I needed to buy another drink to sit down. NOBODY WAS THERE, IT WAS EMPTY. Never again. Richard, I'm the double vodka with large glass of ice, never again.

Open 24 hours now days, love that! And you cannot beat the chill vibe on the deck out back. Always an event happening inside, or fundraiser for community growth and support. Video poker machines, touch tunes, good people, and good times.

A nice neighborhood bar on Rampart Street. Drinks are nicely poured, the staff is friendly, and there's the occasional drag or other show.

This bar and entertainment are so fun. The drinks are poured well. And, karaoke night is a nice mix of people having fun and just hanging out. Don't miss the patio out back.

Ladies, if you are in need or need a safe place to recuperate or are in distress, you are in good hands with Miss Eureka Starfish. Walking home from the Quarter, my girlfriend stumbled on a pothole, and the kind benefactores of this club took care of everything to provide first aid and make sure we got home safe 10/10.

Nice chill atmosphere. Met random people and had a great time hanging out here.

my dog pulled me into the bar. like literally. i’m not a fan of alcohol taste - it’s every blue moon. (my dog loves people & there were cool people who greeted her when we were passing by) brandon / kitty approached us when we came in -so kindly and enthusiastically- gave her a little treat - and she wiggled around for a few minute partying ! they didn’t make me feel pressured to get anything. just welcomed me. because of that when my friend comes in town and it’s time to go drinking or when i have someone asking for a referral i’ll mention this place and i’ll be back when it’s time to celebrate and have one myself.

Yelp
Listen.... Baybeee this is sooo my vibes. Picture this a Dive and LGTBQ Bar with videos sometime and early 90s and 2000s music in full blast. They even hosts events at times here. The happy hour is pretty much Happy too! Price wise very affordable. There's a deck area ouutside for you to smoke and or be louder in peace (LOL). There's a TV outside too I believe.

Yelp
Le CaBARet was the meeting point for Mr. Gregorys Shrimp Boil, which is the only reason I found myself there. The rest of the group and I were able to get a few drinks before heading to the shrimp boil. Drinks were pretty good AND they were inexpensive ($5-6 for the ones that I got). The interior is really cool, and the staff was amazing. It is a bit of a dive bar, but I mean that in the best way. When I first got there, I believe it was the owner who was staffing the bar. They were super friendly and drinks were made quickly. I enjoyed my time there so much that I wound up stopping in after the shrimp boil, too. Trey (not 100% sure on the spelling of their name) was bartending and was similarly great. They were so kind and were making it a point to learn everyone's names. They were very attentive and kept checking in to make sure everyone was good. I had originally intended to only go in for a couple drinks, but I wound up staying for hours because they let me know a drag show was happening at 10:00. The show was amazing and the drinks were strong. This was my first night in New Orleans, and it really made for a great first experience!

Yelp
Wow....unfortunately there is not the possibility of zero stars. Before the place was Grand Pre's, one of my FAVORITE go to places. I was there last night and the bartender was a so rude for absolutely no reason. I made a comment that there was an open mic competition going on and was excited about that. All I said was "that is so cool!" as I had done cooking competitions there and had also 'shown off my dog' in a competition. She called me a bitch and was disrespectful (just as I said that the open mic sounded cool). My suggestion: do not go there.
