Food was great and fast to come out! All of it was fresh and I love how quickly we were served. The view was amazing of the Louvre and we enjoyed people watching. A little pricey and since the servers know we were tourists, they expect you to tip. The servers brought us our food quickly but didn’t check in on us if we needed anything. Overall I’d still come back here and I truly enjoyed my time at this café!

Le Café Marly is an absolute gem inside the Louvre. This stunning, sophisticated restaurant perfectly combines exquisite architecture with delicious food and impeccable service. Dining here feels like stepping back in time while enjoying the best of modern French cuisine. The elegant decor and the breathtaking view of the Louvre’s iconic courtyard make it an unforgettable experience. The staff is attentive and welcoming, ensuring that every moment feels special. The dishes are beautifully presented and taste just as amazing as they look. If you’re looking for a unique place that blends art, history, and gastronomy, Le Café Marly is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Look, you don’t come here expecting the most magical, mind-blowing food experience—and that’s okay. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good. The steak, the fish, the desserts—everything was solid, well-executed, even delicious. But they’re not the stars of the show. They’re great in that classic, no-fuss kind of way. What you really come here for is the view. Especially at night, it’s stunning. The softly glowing facades of the Louvre stretch out the entire panorama, casting a romantic silhouette that makes the whole experience feel cinematic. It’s one of those places where the setting does the heavy lifting—and honestly, it’s worth it for that view alone.

This restaurant is located near the Louvre Museum, which makes it a truly special place to dine. The atmosphere blends art and elegance perfectly. The food was delicious, however, the service was a bit confusing. It wasn’t always clear who was responsible for what I would ask one staff member for something, and they would pass the task to someone else, which often led to delays or forgotten requests. I hope they can improve communication and coordination among the staff, as it would make the experience much smoother. The overall experience was memorable. A must try if you’re visiting the Louvre!

We came here for the beautiful view of the Louvre but we’re a little disappointed that smoking was allowed outside, as we requested to sit on the patio. We know that smoking is part of the culture in Paris but we were hoping it wouldn’t be allowed at a fine dining establishment at the Louvre. We sat inside and they gave us a table that had a little bit of a view of the pyramid, so that was nice. Overall, the food was great and we enjoyed the experience. I had mentioned we were celebrating my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary and they brought out the dessert with a candle. It was a nice touch!

Le Cafe Marly is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless. We were seated immediately, which was a wonderful start to our dining experience. The food was exceptional—every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. To top it off, the views were simply breathtaking, adding an extra layer of magic to the meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a perfect blend of great food, impeccable service, and stunning scenery.

Google
The view at Le Café Marly is absolutely incredible. We were seated right away and the woman who welcomed us was warm and kind. The service once we sat wasn’t great. The staff seemed irritated and not very attentive. The food was good. Nothing memorable but still a great place to have breakfast if you want a spectacular view of the Louvre pyramid.

Artemisa Lazaj

Google
The view of the Louvre and the pyramid is amazing, especially at sunset. The place feels calm and elegant, and the staff are kind and welcoming. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy a drink or a meal, and just take in the beauty around you. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
I've seen this place pop up in so many movie scenes, it was basically on my Paris bucket list. So, naturally, I made a reservation and finally checked it off. The setting definitely lives up to the hype--iconic view and all. I had the steak, and it was solid--well-cooked, flavorful, but not exactly life-changing. The price? A bit steep, but considering the scenery, I'd say it's a fair trade. Just don't expect to be blown away by the food. It's more about the whole experience, and for that, it was totally worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was very overpriced and nothing special. Stones throw from so many restaurants that could make the same dish but better and for half the price. You're paying a ton for the location. But even then, they can't guarantee terrace location. And if that's not enough to deter you from coming here, I couldn't help but notice was how segregated the guests were that were seated near the window panes (with the best views of the pyramid) vs. near the wall with less ideal views. About 90% of the guests seated against the wall were Asian. One Asian couple even asked to be seated in the many open tables available next to the windows but were denied, saying they were "reserved." Only for them to be given to white/european looking guests. (When we made our reservation here, there was no place to indicate terrace window seating.) This happened over and over and over again throughout my meal to the point where it was hard to deny what was happening. Made me sick to my stomach. I hope I'm wrong about what I observed but I would never patronize this restaurant ever again. Mediocre overpriced food and terrible service.

Yelp
Location. Location ! We arrive to our timed ticket entry to the louvre early and decided to grab some lunch before heading in. Cafe Marley is conveniently located in front of the louvre and we were able to get seated immediately without reservations. You have the option of sitting upstairs in the beautiful long hallway or downstairs in their mini patio. Both have beautiful view of the louvre. The patio seating is a bit tight and small. The drinks were great. I did not love that our burgers weren't cooked all the way through. Also they don't serve French fries - only potato chips or mashed potatoes as sides. A great picture spot and place to grab a quick bite while in the louvre.

Angela H.

Yelp
The location and view are the most memorable aspect of the restaurant at night. How can you beat the pyramids lit up at Louvre? The food is good. I've eaten there twice in last 2 years. The service is good. However, both times the wait person asked us to add a tip to our credit card. The first time my friends were paying so I kept quiet. The second time I was paying. I questioned the waiter who told me the service charge was for the management and not him. I questioned it further and he said tipping is usual. His service was fine, no complaints but nothing extra. I bet if I were French he wouldn't have asked or lied to me. Disappointing. I ended up saying I'd leave cash on the table and left him €5.

Yelp
Extremely expensive cafe in Paris. The view and photo op opportunity is stunning and deserving of a mention however it is up to whoever is paying if you want to splurge in a $50 light breakfast that is not filling. The service was pretty much non-existent. The host walks you to your seat and the waiter takes your order, brings it and that's about it. Since I've already been once, that is enough for me because there are a ton of cafes all over Paris that are much better and cheaper. Again, if you can afford it, totally do it but be forewarned, it isn't amazing but the view? Fantastic.

Yelp
The reality is that this really is one of those places you come to solely for the views. The food itself is subpar. Not bad by any means, but not anything special, especially for the large price. We opted to sit inside, because it was cold, but that was a mistake. The inside was very beautiful and romantic, but it's the Louvre views that make this place what it is! If you're coming for the vibes, you won't be disappointed, but don't expect anything special for the food.

Stefani Vianney M.

Yelp
I specifically went to this restaurant for their truffle pasta and I was a bit disappointed when I was informed they didn't have it at the time. I ordered something else and really enjoyed it. The waiter was also very friendly and upon learning that we spoke Spanish he was almost jumping with happiness that he could finally practice with us. To conclude, the best part of this restaurant is the view of the Louvre pyramids.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
If it's not freezing out sit outside and have a great view of the pyramid. It's a nice cafe to replenish your nourishment after walking The Louvre. A bit on the pricy end but it's a nice treat. The service is bustling but good and the atmosphere inside is warm and luxurious. The food is very good; offering light to heavier fare.

Yelp
Amazing location with views from the Patio of the Louvre is amazing!. Interior is classy looking as well. Service was great as well, I would have expected a little more French attitude but none detected. Only three stars as it is pricy. We only had an eclair for 18 euros and a bottle of still water 8 euros. The eclair was good but not 18 euro good!. Actually inside the Louvre there are so many nice alternatives, the only reason to eat here is before going in and for the view IMHO!
google avatar

Ayonna W.

Yelp
Visited this place after visiting the Louvre. It's literally next to it. Surrounded by history. Great ambience. We were seated quickly only to wait an uncomfortable amount of time for service. Asked another waiter if he knew who our server was and he gave a very rude response. It was off-putting. The food was ok. There was a cat walking through the restaurant. I didn't know how to feel about that.
google avatar

Livier M.

Yelp
Ok, so did i love the food here? No. Did i love the view and the vibes? ABSOLUTELY! we were seated outside directly in front of the louvre. My advice would be to make a late dinner resy in order to see the louvre light up while you are enjoying a glass of wine. The food was just ok. I order the spicy pasta and it was anything but spicy and honestly still cold lol. But again, i went in with the expectation of subpar food with great views. If you dont wanna have subpar food id say eat before and come here to enjoy an appetizer and drinks and bask in the view. Also the perfect opportunity to get amazing night time photos in front of the louvre for my IG girlies!

Yelp
The view is amazing- right in front of the Lourve. Service is very attentive. Ordered the cheeseburger and it did not disappoint- great flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
Le Café Marly is situated in the Louvre with a beautiful view of the outside pyramid should be seated in the terrace. The food is not inexpensive but was unexpectedly delicious. We had the grilled sea bass with lemon butter and the tom yam Chilean sea bass. Both of which were wonderful. Service was friendly and accommodating. Le Café Marly is worth a try even for its picturesque setting. Make sure to ask to be seated under an umbrella as the sun definitely gets to be hot.

Yelp
This place was amazing and Jamal was icing on the top. We are visiting from the United States and the food was so amazing along with their craft cocktails. I can't understand why they would get anything less than a 5/5. Jamal's service was on point and we never waited for anything to go empty. The ambience of being right next to the Louvre just put it over the top. We will definitely return the next time we visit France.

Yelp
Amazing!!!!!!! Service is 10/10 Food is 10/10 Apple juice freshly squeezed Cafe is superb Best food in Paris.

Yelp
The views here are incredible ! Night and day are fantastic! The waiter Alonso hildalgo was super nice! The inside was old.. needs a revamp.. Food came out super fast. The outside is airy and lovely but the chairs also need a revamp. Apps range between $18-25.. $25 for an tomatoe salad as an example.. Entrees range between 30-50 euros... I had truffle ravioli for $42.. it had 5 ravioli... My parents had the sea bass and some liver something ; food was good but nothing amazing. Green beans and mushrooms was ok (more like a side) and mashed potatoes were lovely. I was dissapointed.. we got white wine and it was not even cold..... The waiter remembered it was moms birthday which was nice..! The desserts range from $17-28 which i found outrageous.. its $28 for fruit.... Cheesecake was nice and chocolate cake also. *if you are a vegetarian there were two entrees and an app i believe which is nice and rare ** dress is all over the place: some jeans/casual people and some evening gowns ** the music was totally off. At some point they were playing reggae.. i love reggae but come on folks this should be a classic or jazz kind of place
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
I got the CROQUE-MONSIEUR and a natural lemonade. The CROQUE-MONSIEUR was very good. The bread was nicely made with the ham and cheese. The lemonade was something different. It seemed like it was freshly squeezed lemons. I kind of liked it. The restaurant was right next to the Louvre Pyramid. Great view of the site.

Yelp
Their penne tastes like it came out of a primary school cafeteria. It's terrible. Their food is not good very unde seasoned. The view can sometimes be fine. But if you make reservations ahead of time they just stuff you in a corner. Do not waste your money here their food is awful and the place is over hyped because of location.

Yelp
The experience of sitting here and dining overlooking the beautiful Louvre Museum is just stunning!! I started with a good cup of cappuccino and later had the entree "chicken breast, and curry sauce with mango chutney". The dish was nothing extraordinary and the chicken was a little overdone or dry as it was chewy. The mango chutney was good, though! The show-stopper item was their yummiest Pavlova!! It was just out of the world!! The service was disappointing as we had to wait for almost 40 minutes to get our food. However, we didn't mind sitting there as we had a gorgeous view of the Louvre Museum!! How often do you get that?
google avatar

Ashleigh M.

Yelp
The views here are immaculate! Literally right in front of the Louvre! We sat outside instead of inside. Which the inside was just as beautiful! My friends and I ordered a round of drinks. Vueve Rose and got to toast as the sun went down! Which the sun didn't go down until almost 9pm. I ordered the tomato and burrata to start which was delicious. The tomatoes were fresh and the cheese was amazing. For my main I had the spicy tomato rigatoni which to my liking wasn't too spicy. I added a side of mashed potatoes which was so delicious and creamy and buttery. The highlight of my meal. Recommend ordering the mashed potatoes. A couple things were ordered incorrectly but our server was lovely. We had to wait but not too long. The time we waited was made up for in politeness and a good time! I even learned a few French phrases. The bathrooms were upstairs so I got to take a peek of the interior which is just as beautiful as I mentioned. I look forward to going back and getting dessert this time!
google avatar

LaKisha B.

Yelp
Views, views, views! Although I wasn't able to stay long and the weather was sucky, I enjoyed myself. The service was a bit slower than usual but they were kind and the food that I ordered was really good! I ordered the tartare de thon avocat, along with a cappuccino, chocolat. They also provided bread and butter. I really enjoyed the tartare and cappuccino! I wanted to try more items on the menu but again I was pressed for time. There's plenty of seating and I was able to find a spot outside that had a great view of the Louvre Museum. Perfect! I definitely can't wait to visit Paris again! There's so much to do and see! You must visit Le Cafe Marly too.
google avatar

Bummy D.

Yelp
Smoked salmon is great! Coffee was served a bit cold. Server never came back i guess because it's a tourist spot they tend to get really busy and forget some of their table waited quite awhile for the bill.
google avatar

Sheila A.

Yelp
Giving this 4 stars because the inside is gorgeous to dine in. Overall food & cocktails are fine, but we wish we dined indoors. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the Louvre but only realized when using the restroom at the end how gorgeous some of the views were for the inside tables.

Mia F.

Yelp
The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The drinks were yummy but the food was not good. My small chicken salad (that cost $22Euros) was soaked in dressing, it was unbearable to eat. Go there for a drink and view but not the food.
google avatar

Ally W.

Yelp
To dine at Cafe Marly, you are really here for the view of the Louvre and not for the food. By the way, only two-person tables on the terrace have direct views of the Louvre; all other tables have no view. We ordered several entrees to share. The appetizers that stood out were the Salade Nicoise and Melon Culatello. For entrees, couple of us got the steak or filet, neither were the best (1 star off for each). One colleague got the salmon and thought it was mediocre as well (1 star off). We didn't see anything interesting on the dessert menu, so we skipped it. This is a pretty touristy place, so don't expect the food to be spectacular. After dinner, we enjoyed walking around the brightly lit Louvre -- it was beautiful. It's a shame that most of the tables did not have this view.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Honestly, did not have a great experience here. Came to visit during the first week of July for a girls trip and this was our first stop for dinner. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the place is super busy. Thank god we had a reservation. We were seated rather quickly and our server took our order in a timely manner. And that's about where our experience ended. Ot took about 90 minutes for me just to get a glass of water. Our server never came to check up on us, and never even came close to our table. When he did, we let him know that not even the water had yet arrived. After about 5 interactions just like, our water finally came and drinks. I'd say food arrived maybe 45-60 minutes after that. Yes, we were there for over 2 hours before our meal even arrived. Food was cold, but at that point, we were all so hungry, we didn't send it back. For what we were given, food was really overpriced. One of the girls had ordered the spicy tomato rigatoni. It was literally boiled pasta with tinned crushed tomatoes. Not something I'd pay 25 euros for. We told our server that the service was completely unacceptable and asked for the manager. The only thing the manager did was take our two drinks off the menu. He wasn't apologetic or friendly and was very unimpressed with our complaint. We will not be heading back here in the future.
google avatar

Anna Karolina H.

Yelp
Very small breakfast. 25€ for two croissants, hot drink and a juice. The waiters are not very friendly. But it's the view that lets you enjoy the place. 5 stars for the view.
google avatar

Janelle T.

Yelp
Worst restaurant in Paris. Food and service is extremely lacking and the prices do not reflect what's delivered!
google avatar

Susan K.

Yelp
This cafe is all about eating at The Louvre and if you sit outside, watching the people in the courtyard and staring at I M Pei's stunning Pyramid. We had Gazpacho which was very good. We also had a carrot ginger drink. He liked it. We had 2 Niçoise salads which were very good, even if mine was way overdressed. It was a relaxing lunch after touring The Louvre for hours. Take note: You have to exit the Louvre with no readmittance option to get to Cafe Marly. Our server was very friendly.
google avatar

Jade F.

Yelp
The restaurant has a beautiful view and it had great potential but food is very subpar and the service is not so great. Our waiter was impatient and didn't even serve us bread which seems minimal but for the meal you're paying for you'd want everything there is to offer from the restaurant. And beware to hold your breath in the bathroom there's so much perfume you're pretty much swallowing it. Nice location again for looks but you're paying for only that not good service or food that's out of this world. Tries to front as fine dining but really is disappointing.
google avatar

Nicole O.

Yelp
Overpriced. Service was nonexistent. Food was basic. We had reservations for lunch's first seating. I made them the day our date became available online. Yet we were seated close to the host stand with barely a view. Despite the restaurant being empty as it was turning from breakfast, it was "not possible" to be seated further in. Food was boring. I ordered the green bean and mushroom salad. It should have been labeled a side of green beans, not a salad. Husband ordered the sea bass, also boring. We didn't bother ordering anything else. I don't mind paying high prices if the food is good and the dining experience is memorable. I had high hopes for this restaurant but it was such a disappointment.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, very good service, views are priceless! The workers are attentive and professional. I highly recommended Cafe Marly!!! Hot chocolate a must!

Yelp
Nice cage spot on the outside grounds of the Louvre. Food was great. Views spectacular. Staff were nice especially our waiter once we started talking to him.

Yelp
The location cannot be beat! Wonderful staff and they have a restaurant kitty named Marly! You must go!

Angelica D.

Yelp
This cafe is absolutely terrible. They do not like Americans at all. The table next to us were locals that were greeted and served quickly although they were seated well after us. Our waiter was so terrible that another waitress had to serve us bread and water after noticing us sitting for 30 minutes just waiting for service. We ordered wine and a Caesar salad to start. I kid you not, 45 more minutes passed as we waited for our meals that NEVER came. Finally, we asked for the check and were charged an additional $67 for two meals that we were never served. When we told the server that our meals never came he said, oh really? Like seriously? Dude.. you never brought it out to us. We ate the air? Like what!! What an absolute joke. I was so upset that I paid for what we did receive and got out of there. Also, the Caesar salad is $23, they give you more cheese than anything. I have to laugh at my own review because this is unreal. But it's real. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Yelp
It was awesome! You can't get any closer to the Louvre. Food was delicious and service was great! Loved it!!
google avatar

Cassy W.

Yelp
Service here is VERY slow and a reservation is recommended unless you want to be seated in the sun. The food here is alright, but the best part of this restaurant is by far the location. This is placed perfectly in front of the Louvre, which is great to people watch and hang out before or after walking around.

Aimee O.

Yelp
The service was the best all week! They have an excellent hostess and incredible waitstaff!! The food was beyond amazing and the view... the outside of the Louvre, the Pyramid and all the guests. perfect
google avatar

Eugene S.

Yelp
For the ambiance, views were immaculate and vibes were great. Food was above average but nothing stood out. Got the mixed omelette, mixed pastries, yogurt, hot Choco, fresh orange juice. OJ was cold and refreshing and fresh. Amazing. Hot chocolate had a good mix of bitter and sweet. The omelette was creamy and delicious. Food was good enough. However the service was below Par, after seating us down, they were haste to get our order. The cafe wasn't packed but they didn't check up on us once. And when we were getting our bill, that took about 15-20 min to get the waiter's attention even after asking a different server for the bill. I thought it was pretty evident that we were ready to pay but not a deal breaker. Highly still worth.
google avatar

Anne S.

Yelp
I returned to Cafe Marly and things had definitely changed. The waitstaff were attentive and timely. Food was good. Much improved from previous visit.
google avatar

Kristen W.

Yelp
Horrible cafe, they were racist against Asian looking people and it took me 30 mins longer to get seated. And after trying to make eye contact with a server to flag her down, another 30 mins of waiting later I decided to get up and go ask the hostess to get a waiter to take my order. I had ordered just a hot chocolate as it was mid afternoon. And I waited 45 mins before just getting up and leaving. I was on tour in France and wanted to explore, so I did not have 2 hours to just sit around. I saw multiple people of colour (Indian, African, Chinese) looking people get the same treatment, and they purposely take extra long for any coloured person. I did not even get to try the food so can't comment on that and the atmosphere was ruined by the obvious racism.
google avatar

Kal L.

Yelp
If you're seeking a romantic dinner with the most gorgeous view of the Louvre: come to Cafe Marly. I'm quite surprised at the low ratings. This is my third time dinning at Cafe Marley for dinner and each time never disappointed. Dine here about an hour before sunset: you will Not be disappointed. Reservations are an absolute must, especially during peak summer dinner hours. A big shout out to sweet Anna at the front who kindly put me at the best table outside in the colonnade despite peak hours on a weekend. Staff are always very professional and my server was absolutely lovely! You're here for the spectacular view and ambiance. Please be aware of their dress code which is clearly stated on their website to dress elegantly and that means everyone in your party.

Amarilis S.

Yelp
Meh just meh. I give it two stars for the view. The food was overpriced and the service was terrible. I had an uncomfortable feeling from the unfriendly servers.

Kate T.

Yelp
DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!! Waiters/waitresses/hosts here are rude. They have no customer service skills. The screamed at customers in the restaurant for not ordering a lot of food. I ordered 2 coffees and they were upset because I didn't order any food. The head waiter were just screaming at me in front of other people. I still paid for my bill and get the heck out of that place and will never come back. Food and drinks are way overpriced and the coffee sucks. I saw the food and it looks small and just Ok. SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE!
google avatar

Ciara H.

Yelp
Save your money and go elsewhere. My partner puke after eating his omelette and I barely touched my club sandwich.
google avatar

Anthony K.

Yelp
Super fancy! To the point where a gentleman, who was not uncomely, was denied entry based on his garb. Other than that, it was a cool, maybe uncomfortable, experience. Service was a bit uptight, and noticing that we were the only Asian table, they did not pour our waters or drinks for us! Every other table got this kind of service, but not ours. I found that rather strange, yet, unforeign. Oh well :/ food was good though! Would I recommend? Maybe, if you have the right crowd.
google avatar

Dominque B.

Yelp
The croissants were cold. The staff was unfriendly. I added a note that it was my birthday and they ruined the beginning of it. The only reason I came was for the view of the Louvre but I won't be back here. I asked to be seated somewhere and the lady stated it was closed but 5 minutes later let two other women sit there. So she was definitely being racist but yeah- don't go here for good food, just a nice view.
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
If you're American wanting to go here read this!!! This was one for the books. I would give negative stars if I could. When I booked the reservation and arrived I made it clear it was my friends 40th birthday and we wanted to celebrate with dessert. Our server came up to us and didn't say anything just looked at us. Wasn't friendly didn't introduce herself was not hospitable at all. She refused to bring us water at first. We had to request items multiple times and she brought us stone cold sides. She then seemed bothered that we asked for warm food. If Americans are an inconvenience here or people for your staff to treat poorly don't take their reservations. She then just drops a dessert of at the table no candle or even a happy birthday even though I requested it twice from staff. My friend the birthday girl was bothered and requested our server came back with a candle so her friends could at least sing to her. she come back with half the staff and sparklers making it an obvious joke. We were kind and tried accommodating to the local culture and we're still treated poorly. I run a busy restaurant in America and can tell you that it wasn't busy, this servers station wasn't slammed and we waited to long none of of food should have been cold nor should we have had to ask for water multiple times and not get it for 20 min. Beautiful views, great food when it's served at proper temps but horrible staff.

Yelp
This place, which is on the grounds of the Louvre but just outside the exit, is my favorite place to eat so far. Fashionable, wealthy and trendy. Just people watching is worth it. I loved the guy wearing the Louie vuitton Jean jacket, lol. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. Drinks are a bit pricey at 7 euros for a soda or tea. The staff are professionals. Young and well dressed. Both the inside and the outside eating areas are well designed.
