Innovative and enjoyable bistro. The chalkboard menu varies depending on fresh foods available and the sole waiter reviews it carefully with their guests. We ordered pumpkin soup with snails and beer and mackerel tartare as appetizers, both of which were delicious. The Pavlova dessert, made with blood orange, was also worth a repeat. But most of all we loved the Peche de la Chapon, a type of rockfish, that was stuffed with carrots, broccoli, and baby turnips and served with a lemony saffron risotto. Excellent bistro cuisine. They also have an excellent and extensive wine cellar.
The restaurant is small...seats about 35 people, and there is a single amazing server who manages it all in a timely fashion, and who remains friendly and attentive to boot.
And a breath of fresh air after New York dining...no music! Just the sound of happy diners, conversing and eating.
