Marina did the most fantastic job on my wedding dress. I needed work all around the dress, and the dress ended up looking like it was made for me. She is also very quick to turn around alterations. I have another dress for a second ceremony that I am wearing, and I plan to alter that one here as well.

Ladies - Look no further. Stop spending hours shopping online for poor quality dresses from Revolve. Marina is THE BEST in the business! Marina tailored my wedding dress (very big dress, not easy). My mom, sister-in-law, and I also purchased 3 of Marina's custom handmade gowns. The detail, fabric quality, and silhouette is simply incredible. Marina isn't just an alterations master. She is truly an artist in dressmaking. I spent COUNTLESS hours pouring over online stores, buying, then returning at least 10 dresses. I almost gave up all hope until I found Le Caprice. In literally a second, my mom and I both found our perfect dresses on display. I cannot say enough good things about Marina & her wonderful team. Marina did an absolutely beautiful job tailoring my wedding dress to fit me perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough. My dress had multiple parts to it, including several layers of tulle, delicate lace, and a bolero. The dress was hemmed to fit my height at 5'2, which involved hemming the dress from the waist to avoid removing the beautiful floral lace design at the bottom of the dress. Marina amazingly removed and then resewed the lace at the waistline, and I could not even tell that the lace was resewn. In addition to hemming the dress, Marina also added a 5-point bustle that allowed me to easily move and dance in my dress all night after the ceremony. My cousin, who bustled my dress the day of, said this was the easiest dress she had ever bustled. Marina also did some adjustments to the bust area of my dress and replaced the thin spaghetti straps that originally came with my dress with a set of floral lace straps that were much more supportive and beautiful. And lastly, Marina also tailored the bolero to fit me perfectly! The bolero was made of extremely thin and delicate lace fabric, and Marina did a phenomenal job tailoring it to fit my frame. If you are looking for someone to alter your wedding dress, Marina and her team at Le Caprice will do an amazing job. I would not trust anyone else to work with my dress. Thank you, Marina!

I ordered a custom-made wedding dress over a year in advance and unexpectedly needed measurement alterations just six weeks before my wedding day. I was worried no one would have availability for such a quick turnaround. The dress needed a tighter corset, a bustle, and a shortened hem to match my shoe height. I discovered Le Caprice through recommendations in Bay Area wedding Facebook groups. From my first contact, Marina was incredibly helpful. She clearly explained all my options and set realistic expectations. Scheduling appointments was very easy even during their busy month of May. I briefly mentioned wanting to keep alteration costs down due to my dress's initial expense, and Marina proactively offered an alternative bustle option that reduced the price. She also fixed the boning on the corset top to be more structured since it was originally weirdly loose on the chest area. Thanks to Marina's expertise, my dress fit perfectly on my wedding day. I was so happy with her service and highly recommend Le Caprice to anyone in need of dress alterations!

Marina and her team at Le Caprice we absolutely amazing to work with. I only came in twice before my dress was tailed to perfection. Marina is exceptional and talented! She has a keen eye for what will look best and brought my vision to life after showing her an inspiration photo of my bridal jacket that she created from fabric I bought. She added buttons and loops to the back of my dress to cover an ugly zipper and also made my double French bustle look perfect. The whole process was stress free and her confidence made me sure my dress was going to fit perfectly. When I was trying it on at a fitting I said, "I hope it will fit", and her immediate response was, "Of course it's going to fit, I measured you." And boy was she right! It zipped up perfectly snug! Exactly how I wanted it. My dress was a ballgown style and I knew it would not fall down or feel heavy (if a ballgown is not tailored correctly and is too big. It will feel extremely heavy and will fall down as the day goes on). I love how Marina is sure of her work. I have since brought her a few more dresses and they have all been perfect fits. Marina did a good job with my wedding gown. I purchased it previously-owned, and needed some pretty simple adjustments to make it fit just right: tighter in the waist, looser in the hips, and little bit of a hem for my height. luckily, the original bride had her seamstress keep the extra fabric instead of trimming it off, so letting out the hips was an option for me. Marina also gave me a new bustle. the process with Marina was simple. she made the initial adjustments, I came back to try it on, and she made the final adjustments to get the hips just right and sent me on my way. I went to Marina by myself each time (family and friends all live on the East Coast/in SoCal), so I didn't have a second set of eyes with me, which I think would have been helpful in the end. I say this because each try-on did feel a bit rushed (maybe it was self-imposed, I don't know). I think I would have appreciated a little more personalization - like asking me how I felt about the fit, if I see anything I'd like to change. instead, Marina kinda just did her thing and marked what she saw needed adjusting. *You can tell that she is very knowledgeable, and I kinda just trusted her eye. At my try-on after the initial adjustments, I learned that they changed the bustle type from what the original bride had to a French Bustle. The French Bustle has 5 points, and they color coded each one so that it was easy to do. however, they never asked me what kind of bustle I wanted/never discussed any bustle options with me, they just did it... I would have liked a say in how my dress looked bustled up for my first dance. But at this point, the deed was done, so I didn't say anything - I just accepted it. it felt like such a minor thing, why get worked up over it?! After the final adjustments (getting the hips just right), I didn't have another fitting to ensure a perfect fit. I was told it wasn't needed because the final adjustments to the hips was "easy." After my final pickup (adjustments and steaming completed), I brought my dress home and immediately put it on. I'm so glad I insisted on trying it on one more time, because it wasn't quite perfect. The hook & eye closure at the top of the zipper was missing the eye (it had been there at all my other fittings). so I had to purchase some at Michael's and sew one on myself (easy enough, but annoying that I needed to do this in the first place). I also hated the way the low back didn't hug my body - from the bottom of the low back to the top of my booty, it was just kinda suspended over my body, so it didn't compliment the curvature of my body and was unflattering in my opinion. I'm not sure that this was necessarily something Marina could have adjusted perfectly to my liking, but I never really got a chance to look at it/address it with her. so again, I did some DIY makeshift adjustments using some snap-on buttons from Michael's and attaching them to the inside of the dress and to my Skims. it wasn't a perfect solution still, but it certainly looked much better than without. I considered calling Marina and discussing these imperfections, but I was just too nervous about the turn-around. my makeshift adjustments were sufficient for a dress I was going to change out of after first dances. At Le Caprice, they recommend picking up your gown as close to your wedding day as possible (because they steam it for you). Another bride picked up her gown on Thursday for her Saturday wedding. I'm too Type-A to wait until 3 days before my wedding to get my gown (not to mention we were driving to our SoCal wedding the Monday before our Saturday wedding, so I HAD to pick mine up early). I picked mine up on Thursday a week before my wedding. Considering the 2 imperfections I mentioned, I'm that much more thankful I was able to put my dress on before my wedding day! Overall, I DO recommend Le Caprice for bridal/formal gown tailoring. but I also recommend having a second set of eyes with you when you go and not being shy about asking questions/making requests

I went here for my wedding dress alterations after finding it on Yelp. I went to many shops looking for a slight hem and bustle. The seamstress here was very kind, honest, and knowledgable. She showed me that the dress needed to sit higher up and actually didn't need a hem. She also found broken boning that she fixed, did a bustle, and created a veil upon request from a weird cape thing that came with the dress. It was $156 total for those items and I avoided an unnecessary hem that would have been costly. Loved their honesty, knowledge, and delicate work.

My mother professionally did alterations on bridal gowns. As my mom's twilight years diminished, I had difficulty finding anyone that could meet that "gold standard". Years later, our future daughter-in-law was in search of her perfect bridal gown. She found her wedding gown in a bridal salon in San Francisco. Le Caprice was highly recommended for alterations. As fate would have it...Le Caprice was located quite close to my home. Many dresses later...ceremony bridal gown, wedding reception gown, my 2 mother of the groom gowns & 3 wedding guest dresses, I have finally met someone, Marina, who has surpassed the "gold standard". Time & time again, Marina worked her magic! Marina transformed our gowns & dresses to fit us perfectly, as if the gowns/dresses were meant solely for us! I also truly value Marina's opinion, because her knowledge & vast experience clearly reveal itself in the final outcomes. Marina is truly a wizard! I heard about Le Caprice from countless Facebook recommendations in wedding groups but booked an appointment after a coworker recommended Marina as well. I completely understand why Marina is so popular with Bay Area brides as she did things with my dress that I didn't think were possible. Marina starts pinning and adjusting as she sees fit with her expert eye which results in fixing problems you couldn't even identify yourself. I honestly didn't think that the dress could fit me as well as it does. Marina added mesh to my dresses deep plunge which took my dress from borderline scandalous to tastefully sexy. She worked her wonders on my mom's dress as well and we are both in awe of her talent and incredibly grateful.

I've been to La Caprice twice in the past year for dress alterations and I'm so glad to have found Marina. She is truly an expert, listens carefully to what I need, as well as gives me various options/ideas to make the perfect fit, and is very reasonable/fair on pricing. On my first visit which was last year, I brought in my daughter's bridesmaid's dress, which she could not be present for the fitting. I explained to Marina that my daughter is similar shape/size, but 2 inches taller than me, and I only needed the dress to be hemmed. I put on some 2 inch heeled shoes, and Marina explained to me that the dress may hang differently from one person to another depending on the bust and bottom sizes. That made sense to me, and I said to her to do your best, since my daughter lives 4 hours away, and cannot be present. I trusted Marina, and when my daughter finally got her dress, she was very happy, and said it was the perfect length. The second visit was for me, and I had two dresses that needed alterations. One of my dresses was an evening gown, which I thought fit fine except for the length. When I put it on, Marina pinched the top of the shoulders pulling the dress up about an inch. I was amazed that, that made a difference, where the waist line now matched my waistline. The length was also altered to exactly what I wanted which was for the dress length to lay on the top of my foot. The other dress was a sundress, where the bustline was too big and needed to be taken in. Marina, pulled in the fabric from the front of my dress (along the bustline seam), and placed pins to secure the dress. Before coming into the shop, I thought the alteration would be to take in the sides of the dress, so I again was pleasantly surprised on how the alteration was going to be done from the front. When both dresses were ready to pick up, I tried them on, and wow! I was thrilled to have both dresses altered to fit me perfectly. I'm so glad to have found Marina, and will definitely come back for future alterations. She is not only an expert, she's also very sweet and caring. She's the type of person who will make every client fully satisfied with getting all the little details worked out to make the dress look lovely and perfect on us. Thank you Marina!!!

My Fiancé came here to get a quote for simple, basic adjustments to the wedding dress we purchased. They quoted almost $900 for the adjustments for a dress that we paid about $1500 for after tax. I understand their is a mark up for wedding related expenses but to do so to this extent is dishonest. Don't waste your time here.

Marina is THE QUEEN of alterations. She can do any alteration and even has her own bespoke gowns in her shop. She's amazing.

Marina is AMAZING!! I've brought in several bridesmaid and wedding dresses to be altered and she's always super efficient and straightforward during the appointments. Her prices are very reasonable, I've told some friends about how much it cost to get my dress altered and the quotes they got were always pricier than Marina's. Couple months ago, a friend was panicking about her wedding coming up and her dress still not fitting quite right (despite costly alterations from her original seamstress), and Marina was able to fit her in for an appointment and get it perfectly altered just in time for the wedding! My own wedding is coming up soon too, so I'm glad that Marina was able to see me in the dress a couple weeks ago to confirm that it didn't need any more alterations! Usually budget 3-4 weeks for any alterations since they're quite busy/popular, but if you do have a deadline they can still try their best to make it work! I'm glad that my friend referred me to Le Caprice, now I always know who to go to for getting dress alterations :)

With just 4 weeks to go for my city hall wedding, I was desperate to get my dress altered. The first place I went to quoted me over $800 and the seamstress there would've spoiled my dress as she didn't really know how to reduce the length while preserving all the lace detail in the bottom. When I went into Le Caprice, Marina took 5 minutes to figure out the alterations needed, explaining it all openly and quoting me $350 to get it done in 3 weeks. The result was beautiful! What a lovely job Marina did on my wedding dress!!! I was recommended by THREE brides to go to Le Caprice and I'm so relieved I did. For starters, my dress was originally purchased as 3-4 sizes too large and she magically made it fit like a glove!! She also did a hem and added a bustle and with quick turn around. I was worried about the detailed lace at the neckline and waist of my dress, but she did a great job making sure to preserve all of the lace. I had also lost weight during the process and she made sure to go back and take it in more to make me happy. Marina is a no-nonsense owner who gets it done and done correctly. Her experience and talent is unmatched. When it comes to an important piece like your wedding dress, you want to go to an expert and that is exactly what Marina is. Marina and her team were amazing! I brought my wedding dress here after seeing all the glowing reviews from previous brides, and everything was perfect! I got my dress shortened, adjusted the bust area to better fit me, and added a beautiful bottom bustle that folded my train under my dress for a seamless bustled look! It was all very clearly priced upfront and Marina did an incredible job. The dress fit me like a glove!

I had just a little over two weeks to get my dress altered, and Marina truly worked wonders! Not only did she manage to get the dress to me within such a short timeframe, it was comfortable to be in and looked like it was made just for me! Mariana was a life saver! When I had gotten my dress I realized the dress shop order me a size not only to small but the dress also did not support my chest properly. I went to several other alteration shops that weren't able to fix my dress. Mariana was so calming and helpful she altered my dress so that I could fit into then hemmed, bustled and did a couple other things to it. She helped me feel gorgeous on my wedding day. I recommend all brides go to this shop! She is also super affordable my mom and sister took there dresses to her as well and they looked fabulous. She also steamed my veil for no additional cost. Highly recommend and can't thank her and her team enough for all they did for me!

I brought my wedding dress to Le Caprice for alterations. I had gotten it at a sample sale, so while it generally fit me okay (except for the straps), there was also a medium-sized tear in the tulle/lace near the back zipper. My initial consultation was quick and efficient; they were able to pin my dress to give me a much better fit and quoted me a reasonable price (for the Bay, it was a steal!). Then I had my first fitting a couple months later, and it fit like a dream, plus the tear was completely covered up. I didn't even need another fitting. I highly recommend Le Caprice to anyone looking for quality wedding alterations in the Bay!

I had a tight deadline of less than a month before my wedding, and it was also peak Bay Area wedding season. Most seamstresses I contacted wouldn't even take my call. Marina saved the day! Marina did a perfect job with a two week turnaround time. She is very reassuring and no nonsense. I can see why she has a perfect review. I went to Le Caprice for my wedding dress alterations. I immediately felt at ease when they confirmed they had just altered the same dress and made an adjustment to the seam that I didn't even realize it needed. I only needed one round of alterations and my dress was perfect. They even offered to hold my dress (for a month) for me to pick up 1 day before my wedding, which was so helpful. Very pleased with their service and would recommend.

BRIDES! Stop looking elsewhere for a bridal tailor because Marina is IT. Firstly, as a type-A overworried kind of bride, I'm weary about where to get my dress(es) tailored, and did a ton of research. I read through every single reddit thread that mentions any bay area bridal tailors, and Le Caprice/Marina kept coming up. Then I found out my friend got her Berta dress tailored here and the dress fits her like a glove!! That's when I know, fantastic, I need to take all my dresses to Marina from now on. I first brought two rehearsal/welcome dinner dresses to Marina and she did a fantastic job. One of the two dresses is a mini dress from Katherine Tash I'm obsessed with, but the fit was never quite right. This dress has gone through the hands of two other tailors until Marina finally fixed it for me, once and for all, and I'm SO beyond happy! For example, there was a piece of the lining that was showing on my skirt, and Marina brought out scissors and started cutting the fabric while I was still wearing the dress! You could tell she's incredibly confident because she's competent. For this other longer silk satin dress, she's meticulous, and pointed out details that normal ppl would not have noticed but these details matter: "those hooks on the back are showing! they aren't supposed to show!" I got both of these dresses back only a little after a month and she did an epic job on both. I also think it's important to point out that Marina's prices are incredibly reasonable, and she's transparent. She will NOT upsell you or charge you more, just because you bring in an expensive gown. She treats everyone with COMPLETE KINDNESS, and I unfortunately cannot say the same about other bridal seamstresses that I had interacted with in the past. I am coming back for my actual wedding gown alterations in a few months, and will for sure write a happy update with photos after the wedding!!! Thank you Marina! I've had several dresses altered with Marina and her team for my wedding and many ancillary events. All I have to say is, I will never alter a dress anywhere else because I know the dress is always going to be in great hands and turn out even better than it started. Look no further for the best seamstress in the Bay Area. I have had the pleasure of meeting Marina 12 years ago when I was dress shopping and I couldn't find what I wanted at an affordable price. I spoke with Marina and shared my vision with her and she asked that I buy the material and she will create my dream dress. And that I did. I worked with her over 6 months and she left me looking like I envisioned on special day. The details in the dress alone was more than I could have asked for. I wanted a ball gown with a long train with pleats and accessories and she designed the whole thing. Her art and craft is like none other. She is meticulous , patient, creative, and most importantly such a genuinely caring person who just gets it. I have referred my sisters and best friend and she has always come through. She isn't just reliable, she is committed to ensuring you walk out of her shop smiling and feeling like a million bucks. After 12 years she is always my go to! Just recently for my sisters wedding, day if I had a mishap and I called Marina (weekend and all) and left her a message about an emergency need. She was there as quick as a snap. I was surprised bc I figured I'd take my chances since I knew she was off, but she came through and fixed my up and lifted my spirits. I couldn't thank her enough. I had the best experience. The owner knew what to do and advised everything she felt would help the gown and didnt pressure me at all which made me feel so welcomed and cared for. I am a compulsive researcher and very picky about who I choose to work with. But please look no further girls! The moment i stepped into the shop and met the owner, i knew and felt in my heart I was in the right place. Im so so happy with how my dress came out plus the process was so hasslefree. There was also a younger women there that helped me find perfect earrings and veil styles. She didnt pressure me to purchase neither. I unfortunately didnt have a female figure to help with this kind of stuff but with the assistant there, it felt like i had a sister helping me choose what was best for me. The dress came out so nice!!

To say that Marina is great at altering wedding dresses is almost an insult for how extraordinary and amazing she is! She's just a miracle worker in disguise! I couldn't believe how gorgeous my daughter looked with her wedding dress, and it was not an easy task to have it altered, it was at least 3 sizes bigger and my daughter was 3 months pregnant when she started and almost 5 months when she was done... so every time she went to see Marina it was an extra challenge for her, but she never looked frustrated, on the contrary she enjoyed the challenge, and by the time she was done with the dress it was so gorgeous and perfect for my daughter that everybody at the wedding absolutely loved it! Getting alterations at Le Caprice was a straight forward process. Marina is really no-nonsense (which can sometimes feel brusque) but overall the dress fit well and the bustle was easy to use. I am deducting a star because they lost my dress bag that had extra buttons in it. They also put the dress and veil in a plastic bag that was very difficult to transport.

First, the price was very reasonable and far less expensive than the quote we received at the bridal shop where we bought the dress. Secondly, Marina and her staff are very skilled. Marina brought up both the front and back of the dress and the result looked fabulous. She also shortened the skirt and added pretty buttons in the back. The dress fit my daughter perfectly, and she looked beautiful at her wedding. We only needed two fitting appointments, which were easy to schedule. Marina is the sweetest person and she did the best job with my wedding dress! The French bustle was seamless and I so appreciate her. She also makes the most beautiful veils with intricate detail. I'd highly recommend going to this place.

Marina was absolutely amazing, friendly and knows exactly what needs to be done with your dress to fit you perfectly. I originally wasn't in love with my dress because how it fit on me. Marina made some minor tweaks based on my requests and it turned out to be more beautiful than I could imagine. She also was able to help me find my dream veil out of the amazing selection she had in shop. I also picked out my bridesmaids hair pins as well as my own hair clip. She accommodated last minute alterations the day before my wedding because I had lost more weight from the previous and last fitting. Marina was such a dream to work with throughout the whole alterations process! I purchased my dress online from a secondhand service, sight unseen, knowing that alterations was going to be a key piece of getting the dress to fit. Though I tried to get as close to my own measurements as possible, it ended up being just a smidge too tight and needed to be let out. The dress itself had already been altered once and there wasn't much more fabric to work with, but Marina worked her magic and it ended up fitting perfectly! In addition, my May 15 wedding ended up turning into a September 3 elopement (thanks to COVID) and Marina was so responsive, accommodating, and flexible throughout all those months of uncertainty and changes in plans. I ended up leaving the dress with her until the wedding/elopement got scheduled and she was able to make the alterations within a couple of weeks and at such a reasonable cost! At the end of the day, I loved how the dress looked! Marina did an incredible job and I would recommend her to anyone looking for wedding alterations, however simple or complex!

I absolutely love this place! Marina is an amazing person and I have been going to her for years. I bought this dress a size too small and I tried fixing it myself lol. I thought oh boy I need to visit Le Caprice but thought it was closed due to Covid19. But the shop was open ! Marina knew what to do and now the dress fits perfectly. She literally is magical when it comes to alternating your clothes into loveliness! Not only is the alterations perfect but there are also many beautiful clothes, jewelry, etc in the shop for sale. Expert Alterations: I purchased my wedding dress off the rack on sale, and it was two sizes too big. We were eloping on a mountain, and I needed my dress to fit perfectly so I could hike it in. The back was a very low "V" and it was very important it did not open or have any gaps while moving. Marina made it fit like a dream, and I was able to run, dance and... HIKE 1,200 FEET DOWN THE MOUNTAIN IN IT. I'm sure many tailors can make a wedding dress fit, but can they make it fit so well that you can comfortably hike in it? Marina did! Reasonable Cost: I live in SF and got two estimates for my alterations in SF at $500 and $625. They were just too expensive, so I decided to look in the South Bay. I only contacted Marina based on a recommended vendor list from my dress shop, and she said I have to come in. My alterations cost $360! I highly recommend Marina for those two considerations - expert alterations and reasonable cost. In addition, Marina was also very responsive by phone and email, and we were able to get everything done in just three visits (1/drop off & fitting, 2/fitting, 3/pick up). I came to Le Caprice to have my wedding reception dress altered. I got my dress from Lulu's and I needed it hemmed and the bust taken in. My dress is pretty simple compared to more elaborate wedding dresses (no lace or beading, and only had three thin layers). As you enter her store and look at the dresses hanging up, you can see that Marina also works on some beautifully detailed dresses as well. It was easy to reach out to Marina to schedule a consultation. I sent her an email with some photos of the dress and she asked me to come in for an in-person consultation visit. My first consultation visit with her was about three months before my event. The consultation was pretty quick and she advised me to come back in one month before my event. I asked if that would be enough time and she assured me that my dress wasn't complicated and she'd be able to do the alterations in 1-2 weeks. She also said that my body may change so it would be more accurate to do the alterations closer to my event date. She was also honest on what alterations she'd do depending on my body shape (i.e. if I lost a little weight then she wouldn't need to take up the inner lining, which would save me some cost on alterations). Marina also made sure to check with me if I wanted to make a train on my dress or not. I decided not to since my reception is outside and I don't like the feeling of something dragging behind me. I also didn't want to do a bustle and was planning on having an alternate short dress for dancing later in my reception. Marina wasn't pushy in trying to upsell additional services. In early September I came back for my alteration appointment (my reception was in early October). Remember to wear whatever shoes and undergarments you're planning to wear for your event! Marina was very quick in putting the pins onto my dress for the alterations. She told me to come back in two weeks. Before I went back for my final fitting appointment, I called the store to double-check that the dress was really ready. Indeed it was! When I went in, Marina's staff pulled my dress out for me to try. The hemming seemed fine however I noticed one side of the bust was still a bit gaping. Marina had me take off the dress and said she could fix it really quick. She took my dress to the back and fixed it up in a few minutes. She also fixed the loose threading on one of my straps. I tried my dress on at home a few more times. I realized the hem was a smidge too long as I walked around, however, I also had another pair of taller shoes I could wear so it wasn't an issue. I'm sure if I wanted to hem it some more I could have gone back in for a quick fix. I think walking on carpet vs. hardwood with a floor length dress may also feel different to you so you have to get used to it. Overall I'm happy with the turnaround time of my alterations. I inspected all the seams and the quality of the sewing was great! Even my mother was impressed. I plan on coming back for future dress alterations.

Marina work very fast and great! We had to postpone our 25th anniversary vow renewal because of covid, and the alteration of my save the date gown and the wedding dress still fits like a glove. I don't even know how to start this review right now. I have so many great things to say about this place, how am I supposed to narrow it down to fit the word limit? Le Caprice is amazing! Marina is amazing! I came here in March really upset and basically freaking out after going to another alterations place in SF, to find that they were going to charge me $1900 for my wedding dress alterations! I called Marina before coming in and she told me "Don't freak out, just bring your dress tomorrow and I'll give you a quote, it won't be $1900 I promise, that is outrageous" So I brought my dress to her and she instantly gave me a much much much more reasonable quote that I was totally comfortable paying. I felt so much relief in that moment. Also Marina is super quick and efficient, that's why she's the pro and is so amazing at what she does. I came back in April to try on the dress again after she altered it and brought my bridesmaids with me, who she showed how to bustle my dress for my wedding day, she even drew them a picture! We set up a date to pick up my dress before my wedding in May, she said she would have my dress & veil pressed/steamed and ready to go for my wedding. I went back one week before my wedding to pick up my dress. I tried it on at home and something seemed off, the top kept falling down. I quickly called her and she told me to bring it in right away. I brought it to her, tried it on in front of her & she told me that I had lost weight, about 1-1.5 in, so it needed to be taken in again :( I honestly had no idea I lost the weight, I think it had to do with wedding stress, etc. Marina wasn't even worried, she said "ok I'll fix it just come back in a couple days." I literally went to pick up my dress 3 days before my wedding & it fit perfectly!! Long story short, my wedding went amazingly & my dress fit like a glove, all thanks to Marina & her wonderful work! I cannot thank Marina & Le Caprice enough. I'm so glad I discovered this place, thanks to Yelp! Seriously get your alterations done at Le Caprice, trust me on this one. You will not regret it!

Marina is an absolute gem. From my consultation to the final delivery of my dress, her expertise and assurance kept my stress at bay while wedding planning. How awesome is she? Well, first of all, she's a complete mindreader. During one of my visits, she had asked if I wanted a bustle and I said yes. Before I voiced my choice of bustle, she already had chosen one for me. Lo and behold, it was the exact bustle I wanted! Another reason she's awesome? Because she's a perfectionist. I had my heart set on a beautiful pair of Mischka Badgleys but unfortunately at the fitting, the jewels snagged on the crinoline of my dress and it was tearing up my dress. Brides, remember to test the shoes in your wedding dress to ensure you won't have a mishap the day of your wedding! Walk, skip, and run with the shoes. After researching the height of my former shoes, I bought another pair (no jewels this time) of shoes of extremely similar height. Seeing that it was only a difference of one centimeter, I wasn't sure if I should even tell Marina but she explained that it was a tremendous difference so I went in for another fitting. It seemed so trivial but Marina wanted to deliver the best dress possible, which was why she needed to be aware of all changes. Again, I'd like to mention perfectionist. My friend went to a place with below mediocre reviews for her wedding dress alterations and the bustle not only had buttons, but an uncanny amount of buttons! It took time from the bride enjoying her wedding and broke while she was dancing. My bustle only took a couple of minutes to put together. While I danced the night away, multiple people had stepped on my dress, but it didn't do anything to the bustle! Her work is absolute perfection. Marina was also patient with my mom, who had multiple dresses, and had requests. Bless Marina's heart. In the end, my dress came out so beautiful and it was such a perfect fit. We had the dress hemmed, crinoline trimmed, chest taken in, cups added, waist taken in, and bustle added. I loved her so much that I recommended her to my maid of honor. At my MOH's consultation, Marina was just as swift with how she would alter the dress and awesome with my MOH. Marina holds high standards for her work and her prices are incredibly reasonable. I'll be a returning customer soon with my matron of honor dress. For anyone needing alterations, Marina is your go-to person.

I recently brought in my wedding dress for alterations. The price was reasonable for shortening the dress, taking in the bodice, and adding a bustle (I had checked with two other places beforehand). The dress looked great and fit well, and the overall process was easy and painless! Definitely would recommend going to Le Caprice!

I cannot rave about Le Caprice enough. We chose to move our wedding to next year but still have a small ceremony and I wanted to be able to wear my dress. Covid has obviously made things so much tougher. Le Caprice was always so good about only ever letting in people with appointments and being safe in the duration of the appointment. I had my dress altered to be a little shorter since it was quite long, added a French bustle, and had a part of my mom's wedding dress added. They not only did an absolutely gorgeous job, but were quick and professional, while also making appointments enjoyable even during such an odd time. I would *highly* recommend going here for alteration needs. Thank you both so so much for making my wedding dress original and better than I could have imagined.

I was referred to Le Caprice by two friends who also had their wedding dresses altered by Marina. She absolutely did not disappoint! She made the entire process seamless (pun intended). My advice to brides would be to listen to her, she knows best. My dress fit perfectly on the big day, and was so comfortable and easy to move around in. They also have a ton of jewelry, accessories, and veils. I ended up purchasing earrings for my mother and a bracelet I wore the day of. Marina took the time to help me pick out a bracelet that matched perfectly with my head piece that I purchased else where. Thanks Marina and Le Caprice staff!

This woman is the rudest person I have ever met and should not be running a business. I went in to see about having a dress altered and she couldn't have treated me worse. After hearing her bark at me, then ignoring me, I had to leave, but not before I told her what I thought of her. I will never go back there and I advise anyone else to find another alteration person. If at all possible, try to find another person to make or alter your clothes.
