A group of us ordered the set lunch menu for €31. It was probably, gastronomically, the best lunch experience I've had to date.
I'm going off memory here but the amouse-bouche was a subtle fennel soup served in a tiny cup, the starter a cold melon gaspacho with pieces of chorizo and burrata ice-cream, and the entrée a choice of perfect Pollock and gently smoked filet mignon grilled to perfection with white butter beans and a garnishing of chopped veggies and olive oil that became just the most subtle sauce. All of this accompanied by a couple of fresh breads and sweet lemon-honey herb butter. Amazing.
If it had been possible I would have gone out again the next day to try their dinner menu. I really regret Maison Castet is not on our route home.
