"The many lovers of Lebanese cuisine will not want to miss out on this restaurant nestled next to the exhibition centre (Palais des Expositions). The culinary repertoire of the "Land of the Cedars" is made with excellent fresh, sun-ripened produce – as in the tabbouleh (parsley, juicy tomatoes, red onion and lemon juice) – and impeccable technical skill, as exemplified by the wonderfully creamy baba ganoush with its delicious smoky aubergine flavour. For dessert, the pistachio and almond pastries, which are of course made in-house, are best enjoyed with a mint tea. Don't hesitate to come with friends and plump for the sharing menu." - Michelin Inspector

Earlier today, I left a review for a restaurant outside of Nice saying that it was the best cuisine I have had in my 2+ months of traveling Europe. I fear that I need to make an amendment to my previous review and say that Le Cèdar is now top of my list. The owner is extremely friendly, a very nice Lebanese man. The food is simply phenomenal and left no room in my stomach for a second guesses. Their homemade mint tea and their signature dessert were simply breathtaking. As a Lebanese, I give this my biggest seal of approval.

My wife and I had the privilege of dining at Le Cedre recently while on a pilgrimage from Lourdes to Rome. After much walking (and a lot of traffic), we were resigned to dine somewhere near our hotel (Novotel Centre Vieux), and this restaurant was the perfect discovery. The Le Cedre motif embodies simple elegance. The space is compact but not cramped, and the artwork on the walls is courtesy of the host himself, Jean Haidar. Jean is a gracious Lebanese man who has earned every bit of the accolades granted for this establishment. He spent time with us and told us his story and that of Le Cedre, as if we were personal guests in his home. We ordered the Classic Menu, which consisted of both cold and hot samplers of items such as Baba Ganouch, Tabbouleh, Falafel, Sambousik, Chicken and Beef skewers, and Lebanese pastries. This was all accompanied by excellent Lebanese red wine (Ksara, Convent Reserve) which we had not previously known. This all made for a beautiful and comforting marriage on a chilly December evening. Returning to the hotel, we felt compelled to share the good news with other curious diners. Please look no further than Le Cedre, you will be forever grateful!

Fantastic Lebanese food in Nice! The outside is unassuming. The service is very friendly, it's possibly owned-operated by family members. The real star of the show is the food. We had the regular menu, both vegetarian and meat. Lovely food. Faves included the warm appetizer course and the main meat - the lamb kabob was fab! Expect to spend 50 Euro per person if you have wine.

Absolutely beautifully presented food, so much flavour and great value for money. The food was exceptional and the service was very attentive. Thoroughly recommend a visit to this little gem off the main tourist drag.

As a Lebanese from Canada visiting the area, we decided to try the best rated Lebanese restaurant in the area (we were staying in Villefranche). It was an amazing experience. It was full on a Tuesday, mostly by French locals. The food was very good! Great taste close to home. Prices very reasonable and service spotless. The owner was very get friendly. I wish we had a place like that here.

Best meal of our entire trip, highly recommend if you were here in Nice. Chicken was so delicious and seasoned and dessert was such a wonderful surprise of flavors.

Google
We've had some dodgy experiences in Nice for food, but I can without a doubt state that this is not only the best in Nice, it's the best food I've ever had - which is an understatement for this restaurant. It needs to be charging way more to match the level of food they're outputting, as it's beyond anything I've ever put in my mouth. Seriously. At the end of our meal, it was a bit of a stunned silence. 100/10, please visit and support this restaurant and its staff. They deserve your business.

The best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. Flavors were perfection. Service was attentive and atmosphere nice and relaxing. Beat baba ganoush in the world and the server upgraded our desserts to let us try everything which was so nice. Also the chicken!! And kafta!!!

Yelp
Great service. Great spot for date night. Super attentive owner. Amazingly good value for the amount of food. We came in looking for vegan options, since Lebanese food lends itself nicely to a vegan meal (there's always hummus and falafel). We explained we were vegan, and the owner said that he could make one of tasting menus vegan. I didn't see fattoush on the tasting menu, and when I asked for it, he said he could make it for us. You have no idea how happy that made me! We had so many great dishes to share, and everything was delicious and flavorful. The falafel was some of the best I've ever had-not greasy at all. No vegan dessert, but we were too stuffed for it anyway! One of our best meals on the trip!

Yelp
Beautiful, lovely, cozy, authentic, welcoming restaurant. I wandered in here at 10 pm from the Novotel Hotel. The owner Jon welcomed me kindly. Enjoyed excellent, high-end, authentic Lebanese food. Was Ab Fab delicious. Ended the meal with a yummy Baklava and a fig based digestif. Prices are reasonable. I would return in a heartbeat. I hope I can do so. Also loved the ceiling lamp fixtures. Make sure to notice.

Yelp
Good food. Good quality. Good value. Attentive owner. The place opened only a couple of months ago and is attractively decorated creating a nice ambience for a quiet, relaxing culinary moment. My table companion is rooted in this cuisine style and praised the dishes. Lebanese wine was reasonably priced and very good. An nice choice for a nice evening in Nice
