The hot sandwiches are really good here. One of the best chicken parm I've had in a while. They have blood orange beer on tap and that's a great pair.

Google
It was great! The pizza was delicious and I loved the skier vibe! One cool thing to check out is that up stairs, It has a chair from the original KT22!!

Chris Thomsen

Google
We stopped by for a few drinks and stayed for the massive customer appreciation party. This is a place that is perfectly situated as the heart of the Palisades. An apt metaphor of the vibes radiating from Le Chamois and the people here who all refer to themselves as locals. The staff was so inviting, we were treated like long-time friends. It felt like we could have been in our own neighborhood bar. Tip: buy the pre-paid punch card for beer and save a ton of money while you share the card with friends!

Google
Le Chamois is one of the most well-known places to grab a drink after a long day of skiing at Palasides Tahoe. It's no frills like most of the best apres spots at ski mountains, but this place is a must visit to refresh and recharge! It was very crowded on the occasion that we stopped by. The service was still excellent.

Mike Rocco

Google
Best pizza and prices in Squaw. Privately owned by a great local family and they Keep Squaw True

Daniel Powers

Google
Best place in Palisades. Doug the bartender upstairs is outstanding

Danyelle Keese

Google
My Brussel sprouts were burnt to the crisp. So was the person next to me and they said their hamburger was cold

Melissa Kohl

Google
Such a fun loft bar! Decor is so nice and ski-themed, which is EXACTLY what I want when coming in after a day of skiing! None of this normal bar nonsense. Good beer, nice atmosphere. Kinda weird that they had individual bathrooms that were gender-specific. I did appreciate that they had free tampons in the women’s at least. Doing good work 👏

Yelp
10/10 apres vibes. This is the place to be if you want to get after it post an epic mountain day. Bonus points that you can get a wildflour cookie 100 ft away. Come for the party, or the people watching - I promise you will not be disappointed. There is a cool bar upstairs if you can get a spot, but outdoor vibes on a sunny afternoon surpass all else. Bring the vipers, stay for the brewskis. See ya at The Chammy.

Yelp
Apres ski at it's best-Le Chamois is where we posted up after each day on the mountain. Good beer selection, friendly service, great pizza and an outstanding patio vibe never disappointed. I had visions of sun filled afternoons on this patio as we returned to Palisades this trip. Epic spring conditions made for quite the scene. Everyone we met was friendly and we got excellent tips from some locals that shared their secrets. This is such a fun place. Shredding this ridiculous mountain and drinking beers in the afternoon sun while the tram and funitel pass overhead. We joked and reminicsed about our wedding day spent at the Lodge next door. My wife was still learning back then and took a bad slam. Now she wanted one more run from the top of the mountain, before pints at Le Chamois. I'm a pretty good teacher lol.

Yelp
Wings- terrible. Globs of sauce poured on top. Not even mixed. Chicken tenders were awful. Fries were good. Never again.

Yelp
If you want to cap off an epic ski day, this is the place to come for the perfect apres ski vibe! Tucked away from the rest of the village, Le Chamois has it all. Indoor restaurant with tables, upstairs bar lined with windows to take in the view, an outdoor bar area with a fire pit in the shadow of surrounding mountains, and a dog friendly area where dogs are frequently seen running around off leash! This time we were upstairs in the bar area which of course is ski-themed. The old ski memorabilia and photos lining the walls give you all the old time ski vibes you'd want in a place like this. The upstairs was very busy but we were impressed with how quickly our beers and food came out! The lady working the bar was the same one who served us food, she was super efficient and could do it all. Nothing tastes better than some fries, pizza, and beer after a hard day of skiing. We got a large pizza, small pizza, and two orders of fries which was the perfect amount for 4 people. Prices are decent for being in a ski village. The food was great quality with an even better atmosphere, what else can you ask for?

Yelp
I love the chamois! Always a great experience. Super friendly staff and fast service

Lilliann Z.

Yelp
No where worth the money. 25 minute wait for fast food. $14 steak sandwich that was actually 2 slices of very thin roast beef. All food came out cold. After the first bite of a hot dog, I let the kitchen staff know it was cold. The manager appeared and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes. Nuked hotdog for $10. Don't waste your money.

Yelp
Great place for apres ski. Right next to the Olympic House. The pizza was solid. You can also get it by the slice. Lot of people grabbing a pizza and beer after skiing all day. The pretzel was pretty awesome. It's humungous! Enough for 3-4 people. Surprisingly soft and fluffy given how large it is. Comes with 2 mustards and hot beer cheese. The spaghetti was just ok. My kids liked the philly cheesesteak.

Yelp
Im not sure why this restaurant is so highly rated. The interior is shabby, You order food at the counter and pick it up there. We went in the afternoon so maybe it is more fun with a drinking group in the evening maybe the pizza is good? The baked veggie sandwich was so blah. It needed some Marinara sauce or giardinera and a cheese with flavor. The bread while toasted was only a tiny step up from Subway . Restaurant is tucked away from the main path through the village, so if other options are crowded this might be ok.

Yelp
Don't get the chicken wings. Saw them in the plastic bag (ok fine) but they came out with a really weird mealy texture. Couldn't even eat them. If you're there for the après ski scene, it's the only spot at the base of Squaw - looks fun, just stick to the beer.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
I've been grabbing pizza here for as long as I have been skiing Squaw. It is tucked away behind the gondola and a little hard to find making it a bit of a locals joint. The pizza is average however it really hits the spot after burning some energy ok the mountain. Pizza by the slice is an option if they are busy.

Yelp
This place is hidden gem, tucked away in a corner of squaw. They serve a variety of different pizzas, pastas, salads, soups, and sandwiches at a reasonable price. I tried their pizza ($6) and soup of the day (chicken soup). Both were delicious - especially the soup. Soup + cold weather is an amazing combination. There's a loft bar up top that is the cutest thing ever. It's ski themed. They do ski shots. The beers are only $6. You get a nice view of the outdoor lounge, which is typically filled with people and dogs. They also sell beer by the pitcher. If you're lucky, you may even see girl scouts hustling with their table conveniently placed in the outside lounge. They take venmo! It goes well with the beer.

Yelp
I was in Olympic Valley for work and stumbled upon Le Chamois which was near my hotel. All the employees were super friendly, the decor was unique, and they really catered to residents and tourists one night when the power was out over most of the region. I ate here once and the food was wonderful...didn't have the pizza though it seems they are known for that. I stopped by a few other times for drinks and to charge up my phone. Thanks to Le Chamois, a true gem in Olympic Valley!

Yelp
Still the best post-power-day spot for pizza and beer. The deck is usually filled by 2:45 so send someone early to stake out a spot or start practicing your ability to balance multiple plastic beer cups and paper plates of pizza. This is a legit pizza place that just happens to be ski-in ski-out, not your usual ski resort slices of cardboard. the wait for specialty items (i.e. not a beer or a slice of pizza that's already on the rack) can be 15-20 minutes. *as for ski-in ski-out, you just take the long path right off the mountain til you see the big wheel (usually with kids climbing on it). keep your speed up at first, but watch out for dogs as you approach (it's a SUPER popular "fetch" spot and as such, keep you eyes on your pizza as adorable dogs are always circling)

Yelp
The best place in Squaw Village to have a beverage of choice after skiing (without being raped with crazy prices) and pizza which is truly fantastic. This unique bar is hidden in an alley away from the center of the village and the normal traffic. They have lots of beer choices, great outside and inside seating areas, pleasant staff and the atmosphere is fantastic. Better yet, because we missed our shuttle to our hotel we decided to spend 1.5hrs in this bar where I left my goggles that I thought I lost...but guess what? I found them here and it felt amazingly good love this place

Yelp
Quaint and comfortable, the Chammy is a world away from the fast paced SiBo SuperG and RedDog screamers. When you're just craving a hotdog and a beer, this is your joint. You can hang out outside where dogs bring their people or inside where parents bring their kids. Love this old school meetup.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
Great place to hang after hitting the mountain all day. The servers John and Stick are pros. Great dudes and some good sights
google avatar

Carlos O.

Yelp
One of the most legit apres ski bars around. No frills, no BS, just beer/wine/sake. Love it or love it.
google avatar

Yelp
OK, yes, it's true - most of Le Chamois is outdoors. I don't know how early you have to get to Le Chamois to get a table indoors, but I'm guessing it's pretty early. Our day of skiing had been pretty balmy and there was a good group outside at Le Chamois, so we vetoed our friend's decision to go to Bar One (it was dead!) and go to Le Chamois. At those cold evening temperatures, we only lasted about 45 minutes out there. The outside bar is quick for getting a beer (they serve pitchers!), though the selection is relatively limited - I think we had the choice of Budweiser or Fat Tire. The food came was quick in coming out - we ordered various snacks but the garlic cheesy bread was the hands-down favorite. Le Chamois is probably a better location before the sun goes down because once the sun sets, it is pretty cold. But otherwise, it's a good place to hang out since it's right in the center of the Village.

Yelp
This is my go-to spot while skiing as it has really good pizza and beer at affordable prices. When skiing at Squaw Valley and any other resort in the US, you get accustomed to sticker shock when looking at prices for restaurants so it's great to have this option available. The pizza is top-notch and the beer is cold. A couple slices of pizza and a drat beer will set you back about $13, and for the days when you've got several friends you can order an entire pizza all the up to X-Large which would easily feed 4-5 people.

S E.

Yelp
Would give zero stars, if possible. Used to be a favorite, but they are ruined for me forever. They recently reopened after being closed for most of Covid and we were so excited. A group of us were there for a late lunch thru apres-ski, placed several orders (probably spent hundreds of dollars), tipped generously each time ... but the cashier (brunette) couldn't have been less friendly ... and the last time we were in line, she tried to serve the people behind us rather than us (can't understand why) and when I said we were next, she acted like I was being unreasonable (!) and made a comment to the couple behind me like they were so nice for letting us go first?! Other patrons all day were commenting about how the lines were ridiculously long and service so slow, which didn't bother me that much; but her attitude was unacceptable. I am sorry to say this because I think it's a family-owned business and we spend a lot of time in the Village at Palisades and go there a lot, but we will never go there again. They should be more careful about whom they hire ... and if she's a family member, she should not work the cash register.

Yelp
We went to Squaw valley for the trolley ride and went up and came down around 6pm when most places on the top close...being crazy hungry and the fact that we had to drive and hour to Reno to go to our hotel we came down and went to every restaurant in our vicinity..the sports bar..the other pizza place...the Irish pub and everything...everyone had at least 45min to 1hr wait which is longer than it would take for our drive to Reno... almost resigned to getting in the car hungry and driving to Reno...I saw a few guys taking some takeout pizza boxes...I asked one of them if there is a pizza place hidden behind the building we were standing infront of and the guy said yes....I asked him if it was quick and he said yes...that was MUSIC to my hungry stomach...I called my friends and we ran here...the place was almost empty..lucky for us it was hidden... They had a ton of options...wings..onion rings...delicious pizzas..sandwiches everything to fill a hungry belly...I ordered the veggie pizza and one of the specials...and onion rings and french fries.... The food appeared in front of us pretty soon...We were so starved...the food disappeared in a jiffy...the pizza was thin and the sauce was tasty..the toppings delicious and fresh...the guy stopped by to ask how everything was a d mentioned they made 225 pizzas that day thanks to the awesome snow season and the visitors.....THAT'S CRAZY... Please go here...the staff is awesome the food d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s.....

Mike R.

Yelp
This was the best lunch and service I have ever had in Squaw! This is a dining experience that rivals Any French restaurant i have been to ,including the French Laundry!
google avatar

Kristy A.

Yelp
Great place to meet up with friends for a beer Apres ski. Kids loved the S'mores bar they had setup outside by the fire pit. S'mores were expensive but good.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
This is a much better alternative to the resort options of overpriced and overcooked burgers. I don't recommend the wings, but the pizzas are very good and reasonably priced, and they have a nice little selection of beers on tap. Good place to grab a bite and say your prayers for snow!

Kylie M.

Yelp
My family and I walked into this restaurant and we were greeted with a ton of attitude and little direction when trying to order. We have never been to this place and when we asked questions, we got short answers and shrugs. We immediately walked out. The two ladies in the front, blonde and brunette hair, really need to work on their attitudes when it comes to their customer service. I have never walked into a place with such unprofessionalism and attitude.
google avatar

Shiho F.

Yelp
Fun and solid beer drinking crowd both outdoors and in. Loved seeing the sake being poured outside. Definitely going to hit this place up for lunch next time I visit Squaw. They also offer a unique beer buying system: The BUDDY PASS - $40 (good for 20 pints of Budweiser) The BUDDY PITCHER PASS - $75 (good for 10 pitchers of Budweiser) The PINT PASS - $60 (good for 20 premium draft pints) The PITCHER PASS - $120 (good for 10 premium draft pitchers)
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
Good pizza: go for pepperoni pineapple--trust me, they do go together. Pitchers of beer also add to the atmosphere; no need for a reservation but it could get busy at peak times or holiday weekends.
google avatar

Arne E.

Yelp
What could be better than cold beer in a killer old ski bar. Love the posters and decor.
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
When your quads are on fire from a great last run down KT-22, it's time for a pitcher and some hot slices. Chamois has a great outdoor patio perfect for getting your "apres ski" on. Great music, fun people, and all in all, a great way to end a day on the slopes. Now, the only question is, when can I get back up there?
google avatar

Niko P.

Yelp
Spent the weekend at Squaw and Apred here are few times, great beers, great crowd (bunch of ex-hippies, richies, San Franciscans, international jetsetters, SoCal people and NorCal people) and very mediocre food (but what do you expect, its for seeing and being seen after a day on the beautiful slopes... Great times, check it out if you can, certainly not for the family, at least on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evenings but its the most lively and coolest place in Squaw during the season!
google avatar

Thomas D.

Yelp
This is the place to go when your n Squaw. There may be a little wait for the food, but it's worth it. Good beer, good pizza and good wings outside on the porch in the snow. Doesn't get much better than that
google avatar

Matthew R.

Yelp
More locals per sq. ft. than any other place at Squaw. For good reason.
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
Sssssssh. This is a locals joint and you shouldn't be here. You can always count on a good time in this hard to find patio.
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
We ordered pizza for three of us, pitcher of beer, and a hot dog w/ fries for the little one. Pizza was ok until we pulled the piece that had a large piece of black plastic bag cooked in under the cheese. Pointed it out to the staff who kind of blew me off as it was no big deal. Hot dog was fine and fries were delicious.
google avatar

Julie N.

Yelp
Great apres ski spot! Casual, with yummy snacks and beer! What more could you ask for?
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
After skiing for a half day, I met my buddy here for lunch and some beers! it was a cool and cheap! they have a bar and seating outside! I ordered a meatball sandwhich! and it was pretty cheap compared to other ski places I ate at. it was cool younger crowd compared to northstar bars and restaurants and another reason why I like squaw better then northstar!!!!

John A.

Yelp
Best après ski in the world. No BS, fun authentic..
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
LOvE THIS BAR!!!!!!! Everytime me and my bros are done makin squaw are bitch we hit this place! Crawlin with chicks!pizza is the best in the country !beer is always cold n never flat,! plus all the pros hang there, pretty awsome apres and the squaw valley sport shop next door does free tunes if you bring them pizza or beer!!!!!
google avatar

Morgen N.

Yelp
It may have been the relief of taking off my ridiculously tight and stiff ski boots, the pitchers of cold beer in 60 degree sunshine, the hot pizzas that filled my belly, or the fact that all the winers in our group stayed here and drank beer while the rest of us skied for the afternoon that makes me a huge fan of this place. The pizza was delish, the beer in pitchers, and you can ski up to the outdoor seating. Bonus: the outdoor picnic benches were great for making friends and getting others' leftover beer and pizza

Chuck B.

Yelp
Great pizza and good spot when skiing. Great way to get food for the afternoon ski. Makes for a great day of skiing

Corben C.

Yelp
This place had very good pizza although they completely forgot our order. There weren't even many people in there.

Yelp
Le Chamois is probably the most iconic landmark / bar in Squaw Valley. It has been around for 40 years and boasts the largest crowd on a given day in the Valley. A few thing the the bar really has going for it.. -Huge and awesome patio/deck that gets direct sun until the late -afternoon. -A loft bar that is full of Squaw history and Memorabilia. -A constant existence of Squaw legends and pros (great for call outs) -Reasonable prices on beer. If you can say anything bad about Le Chamois it is that the food isn't the best and it may take a while to get depending on the crowd. In terms of service, there have been rumors of bad service, but I have yet to experience it myself. Still, this is no place that should be passed up if you visit Squaw.

Carter K.

Yelp
I waited 2 hours for a burnt blt with 2 small pieces of bacon. They had terrible service and did not care that they made me wait. Do not recommend at all. PS very over priced for terrible food
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
This is pretty much the go-to apres ski spot for Squaw/Alpine. Great place to see friends, hang out, have a beer. Delicious pizza and cute interior area. I wish they did more hot drinks and craft brews, but, oh well.
google avatar

Dee H.

Yelp
The pizza was greasy and not that tasty. The service was really friendly. I love that they have plugs everywhere to recharge the gadgets. Weird comment, but the water is sooooooo good, or it might have just been that I was hungover. The wings were meaty but I was definitely concerned I might get sick after, not exactly sure why, just had that sneaking suspicion. Luckily, I was okay!
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Best place in Squaw to get a beer after skiing! I dont know if life gets any better than skiing KT-22 all day and then getting a pitcher of Bud on the back deck and sharing laughs with friends.
google avatar

Des D.

Yelp
WINTER REVIEW Best value in Squaw! Pizza is always good and beer flows very nicely by the pitcher. Tables inside/outside usually easy to get even for a group. If you are with the kids there is plenty of space for them to run around while you relax.
google avatar

Robert O.

Yelp
Cold beer and great service. Great place to relax and unwind after hitting the slopes hard all day!
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
The pizza is great, the service was friendly even though you couldn't move an inch after the mountain closed. Would ride down here again after the end of the day.
