Le Charcuterie Bar

This place went from great to super great. I visited here a couple of years ago and had a fantastic visit. The wine, cheeses, and charcuterie were all delicious! They had a huge selection of wines, so there was definitely a choice for everyone. This included my personal favorite, Sauvignon Blanc. Well it has only gotten better. I came in here recently and had a delicious plate of charcuterie, along with some more cheeses, and yes, another Sauvignon Blanc! The staff was super warm and welcoming (I am by no means a wine connoisseur) and I also enjoyed a fun game of trivia with some regulars, who were also fun and welcoming. Overall, a fantastic place to visit when in San Diego!

I went there for a leather jewelry making workshop on a Sunday afternoon and boy was it my most relaxing afternoon or what!!! From the refreshing bubbly to the beautifully presented tea to the unique chips with meat - it was warm, fun, cosy and refreshing!! The charcuterie boards are designer category and the vibe of the place is inviting!! A must try!!

Love this place and can’t wait to go back! Stopped by and shared a bottle of Pinot Noir and a raclette-candle cheese board (that came with pickled veggies and nice quality sopressata). The owner Marc was super friendly. Great spot for hanging out or grab something on the go. We also got truffle honey and crackers to go.

I stopped in here after NLCS Game 2. I bought a glass of wine and the owner was nice enough to let me borrow a phone charger. However, I soon after had my glass of wine taken from me. The owner claimed I was being too loud, and driving customers away. Apparently, there is a zero tolerance policy for saying “Let’s Go Padres” to fellow Padres fans, in a bar 2 blocks away from the stadium, after one of the biggest games in Padres history. Shortly after the owner kicked me out, for questioning what I was doing wrong. She was very aggressive, was talking to me like she was my mother. She escorted me outside, locked the door, and immediately began drinking herself. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

Exactly what I was looking for, an intimate neighborhood wine bar with delicious cheese and snacks. The patrons and owners were friendly and fun! Wish I lived in the neighborhood so I can join their “wine club” but it was fun for one night. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town

I am relatively new to the charcuterie experience, so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the food. They had quite a variety in wines to select from and their meats & cheeses complimented the wine beautifully - truly well curated and high quality. Everything else was fresh and tastefully balanced as well. The ambience was charming & the new owners were super hospitable to me (I enjoyed chatting with them and their story on how they became entrepreneurs..) Definitely coming back again.

Love this place. Ashley was wonderful with serving us and describing each wine. The charcuterie board was delicious and was the perfect spread.

This is a very special wine bar. Many interesting and delightful red, white, and rose options from CA, France, Italy, and elsewhere are available. The folks who work here are friendly and very informed about wine. The charcuterie boards are fantastic! It’s a great place to stop by for a glass or linger.

Had a fun time here for trivia and games with friends in an intimate setting. Wines and charcuterie were very tasty, but the star was the triple G sandwich, amazing!

Custom charcuterie boards The owners are very warm and welcoming, and the staff is helpful The boards are curated with cheeses and meats from around the world. Small boards can be made swiftly for last minute get togethers. For larger events, you can order an event tray in advance for pickup. Stopped in for a glass of wine and the grilled cheese! Perfect. It's a cute shop with a chill ambiance. They have wines by the glass and the bottle. They have an amazing selection!

We loved this cozy wine and cheese bar. They have great selection of wine and cheese, the charcuterie board looked delicious. The new owners are so friendly and made sure that we were having a good time. I loved the interior and realized that it's a nice spot to hang out with friends too. They also organize jewelry workshops, trivia night etc so looking forward to go back there again soon. Highly recommend this place!

An absolute gem! I tried the signature board, and it was fabulous!!! I paired with a a magnificent Sauvignon blanc, and they blended perfectly! The service was great, the ambiance is especially elegant, and the wine and charcuterie selection is fantastic. Highly recommend!!!

I went in with the intention of buying at least 4 bottles. Within 2 minutes of me looking they claimed they needed to shut down 4 hours before they claimed on their website. Maybe wearing a work computer backup scared them. Not sure. Lost a whole neighborhood of visitors all because I didn't have a designer purse and wore a backpack.

Loved this place, tried it after work and it definitely hit the spot. Would totally recommend and come back!

My husband and I come here every week for trivia and every week we are greeted by the lovely staff. The owners are so kind and welcoming , Chad and Marlene are always so lovely to see. This place is always clean and has a tasty selection of wine and carefully crafted food that has never let us down.

Absolutely amazing place! Had an amazing time with my boyfriend, this was one of our stops for or 5y anniversary and the cheese and wine was delicious. Chad and Marlene were so lovely and extremely knowledgeable about wine and cheese pairing. We will definitely be back with friends and family.

I saw this place while we were looking for parking and I had to stop by based on the name. We decided to get shareable charcuterie for 2 $28 and an extra 1/2 lb of prosciutto. Service was great, the person working there explained all the meats and cheeses going into our charcuterie box. She was very friendly. My only complaint would be the portions of the shareable charcuterie box. We will definitely be back but we will buy things by 1/2 lb. There wasn't any music playing so there was a few awkward moments of silence.

Great charcuterie platter for parties, we've used them several times and the results have been great. The platters are fresh, well laid out and labeled with cute little labels. When we have brought the platters to parties, everyone loves them and it is easy to go pick one up day of the event. Thanks again, we'll be calling soon!

We went there a few weeks ago and had the pleasure of sitting and sipping a great Framboise beer while our food was prepped. Go try this place out and you will come back again and again! They made us feel welcome and it was 5 minutes to closing time! We ordered the triple G sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! We ordered their YOLO board just 2 days ago and not only was the presentation beautiful, every item was perfectly balanced for taste and proportion. This marks the fifth time we have ordered from them and their service is consistent! You cannot go wrong with this place whether it's take out or you wanna stop in for a bite, trust me, you won't be disappointed! Best of luck in the new year, Le Charcuterie! Some folks in the neighborhood might know this as "hot dog/speak easy" but now it's a quaint sip and sit charcuterie bar. At Le Charcuterie Bar they curate a charcuterie experience just for you. We stopped here after the season finale of the Padres game and to celebrate my birthday. We were looking for a place to just grab a quick drink before heading home. Heather, the owner, greeted us and explained how the charcuterie bar works. So you select your wine or beer from their selection and then they intentionally pair your cheese and meat to your beverage for the optimal experience. Tonight I had a moscato and my fiancé had the Bario Logan Mexican lager and Heather put together a paring that included I believe a Mimolette, a California Swiss, some duck salami, a nice semi soft creamy cheese in the back. Heather also explained that all their wines and beers are small producers from women or minority owned business; and either sustainable production or working on sustainable growing. So these aren't going to be beverages you can get at your big chain stores. They also travel around the world and US to source their cheese straight from the source instead of going through a chain market. Their meats are locally sourced as well. All of their staff are experts at cultivating a thoughtful wine and cheese pairings. They also have an opportunity to order party trays, curated gift boxes, and even working on adult "lunchabIes"; for which will perfect Petco Park picnics I admit that I'm not a connoisseur of cheese and good with name but this makes me want to be

What a wonderful place. We had the best time at Le Charcuterie Bar. The cheese board we had was so incredible. The wine my husband had was DiCO, a great Napa cab. Kudos to the new management!

Didn't feel welcome the service could've been better. I felt as if we were ruining a close knit community as soon as we entered.

Wry adorable place. Small and quaint. Charcuterie board and wine were delightful. Conversation with staff was even better. Unfortunately, we're from the east coast but will definitely return our next trip to Cali.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of Le Charcuterie Bar, really nice seating and very comfortable. I think they should consider having a lunch special. I was the only customer there and I think it's because it was expensive. The ham sandwich with butter was delicious with a glass of rosé. If you want the experience of a high end cheese shop with European flare this place is a must see.

Le Charcuterie Bar truly was the bomb! Their wine selection pairs perfectly with their charcuterie board. Each bite was a delight, and the service was impeccable. The "Cheese by Candlelight" was a fun experience.

What a perfect place to spend a rainy evening. San Diego has been drenched these last couple of days but with the boards and wines at this bar, you won't miss the sunshine at all. Wines from sauv blanc to true champagne, from Pinot to Tempranillo. There's something for everyone! The owner is an incredibly kind, talented Sommelier with excellent recommendations. East village is lucky to have Le Charcuterie!

Phenomenal. Truly. The charcuterie was a huge hit at a global corporate event I organized and the owner was more than happy to take the time to select appropriate meat and cheese pairings with the wine we had, as well as accommodate for the gluten-free and herbivorous folks among us. So grateful for this small business! Do yourself a go, you will NOT be disappointed!

Sister store to Boutique Vino (IYKYK) so their wines are always going to be on point. Cozy little spot for downtown locals and a great stop prior to going to dinner elsewhere. They offer a cheese club where you can get three cheeses per month and a variety of condiments. In store, I really enjoyed the bougie nachos-aged cheddar cheese kettle chips, heavy helping of prosciutto, and pepperoncinis. Hoping to try the sandwiches on my next visit.

Wonderful experience at this lovely little place. Three of us shared the Yolo charcuterie board with wine. Knowledgeable staff assembled a terrific selection of cheeses and meats with complimentary items (olives, nuts, etc.). Nice music. Nice ambiance. Great wine selection. This is a little gem in downtown San Diego! The cheese and wine selection are great and the charcuterie board yummy :) When we stopped by , we were able to meet with a cheese distributor who happened to be there and taste the cheeses - I learned a lot about the process which was great and the cheeses were fantastic. The staff are also super friendly and helpful!!! I would totally recommend this place :) The ambiance is cute and quaint! Please consider stopping by and supporting small and local businesses!!!

Visiting from out of town, hours said they open at noon. Stood outside waiting until 12:10, with not a sign of life inside, doors locked, lights off. No additional signage explaining an unplanned closure.

Took my boyfriend on a date here, highly recommend! It was a bit early when we arrived so there weren't a ton of people which was nice - we were able to chit chat and unwind comfortably. Later, more people came and everybody was so nice and fun. Lots of locals came in and they were welcoming and even shared their wine with us. Will def be frequenting here! Great wine and cheese selection!

Total arrogant, jerk bartender. We came in after a Padre game but he was too annoyed to remember he's in a service position. We left and went to another bar.

I always get excited when a new place opens in the neighborhood and this spot is a great addition to the area. The staff did a great job of talking through their wines and cheeses so you can find whatever suits your tastes. They were happy to answer questions which is always nice. The atmosphere was busy yet relaxed I'll definitely be stopping in again.

The inside and staff were fun but ordered a bottle of wine and was charged a corkage fee on top of the advertised price of a bottle of wine. A corkage fee for ordering a bottle of their wine! Insane! A corkage fee is only if you bring your own wine, not if you order from their menu.
