The Best Montreal Microbreweries and Craft Beer Bars | Eater Montreal

"The most dive-y spot on the list, this comfortable, dark and retro-tinged brewpub serves a solid lineup of house beers from session IPAs to stouts to its namesake Belgian white. It’s also the craft brew venue that started it all in Montreal." - Eater Staff

The Best Dog-Friendly Bars and Patios in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Tucked onto Ontario East, Le Cheval Blanc is Montreal’s oldest craft brewery, boasting an impressive handcrafted beer list (with very reasonable prices) as well as a cozy, front terrasse that welcomes smaller dogs. Take note: terrasse itself is pretty tight and larger dogs may not fit as easily, especially during busy times."

Had an amazing time visiting. This was a random stop visiting from Ottawa as our hotel was around the corner. My partner were impressed at how busy it was here. It says a lot about the place. It has an older crowd, but the most lively bar we stepped in. Not to mention great beer. Recommend for a nice night out with friends on a Saturday night.

Loved this place. It was such a nice break. The live music was great without being too loud. The beer is good, and the service is amazing. I loved the art they had on the walls, and I'm still sad that all of the pieces had already sold.

What an awesome brewery and neighborhood pub! A great, low-key place to relax and enjoy great beer. I got the Velourrrrs, which is easily one of the best IPAs I tried during my visit to Montréal and ranks among the best IPAs I’ve ever tried (top 7% out of 233 different IPAs). Merci à vous!

This is a great microbrewery with a wonderful vibe. It is not a restaurant but a place to drink and enjoy conversation which is what you want in a microbrewery. and the hazy IPA was outstanding. Finally, the serving staff were a joy.

Bar tender was cute. We came here with our 'Passport En Fut' ... Which I suggest looking into of you like microbreweries. The bartender wasn't very helpful with picking the beer tho... Just showed us the menu. Great atmosphere tho! Beautiful patio out front! I recommend this place. I enjoyed a pint of the blonde lager.

The Saison Sauvage sparkles and bubbles with freshness. The slightly acidic quality of the yeast offsets that to create a sweetness with a sharp edge. What a wonderfully expressive drink! The notes of hops and malted barley are firm in the fragrance and flavour of the English IPA, without overwhelming the brew. This is a traditional brew that is most satisfying. La Mer Trouble Glorious floral notes inveigle they way up the olfactory routes, sharpening taste buds in anticipation. Oh! May all seas be this troubled! Waves of sweetness crash over the bows, smashing to kindling the battened hatches of restraint. Try not to gulp this down; you may go down with all hands. This is best drunk as a dessert beer as it is rather honeyed.

Standing at the bar, they refused to serve me because I decided to not leave a tip. The bartender very rudely took the beer and tossed it away essentially kicking me out of the place for that.
