Le Cheval is a remarkable dining experience that truly captures the essence of French cuisine. From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with an inviting ambiance and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the elegant decor to the impeccable service. The menu at Le Cheval is a culinary delight, offering a variety of classic French dishes prepared with a modern twist. Each plate is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chefs here are undoubtedly talented, skillfully combining fresh, high-quality ingredients to create a symphony of taste. One standout dish that must not be missed is their Coq au Vin. The tender chicken braised in red wine sauce is simply divine, accompanied by a medley of perfectly cooked vegetables. The flavors are rich, robust, and soul-satisfying. Another must-try is their Ratatouille, a colorful and vibrant vegetable stew that exemplifies the beauty of French Provencal cuisine. The salty prawns at Le Cheval are a true delight, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Their flavorful and succulent nature makes them a standout dish that is sure to please seafood lovers. And when it comes to the Moscow Mule, Le Cheval's rendition is simply to die for. The refreshing blend of ginger beer, vodka, and lime served in a copper mug creates a harmonious balance of flavors that is both satisfying and invigorating. It's a fantastic choice to complement your meal and enhance your overall dining experience. The service at Le Cheval is impeccable, with knowledgeable and attentive staff who are passionate about providing a memorable dining experience. They are more than happy to recommend wine pairings or offer insights into the menu. The attention to detail extends to the presentation of each dish, as the servers provide a thorough explanation of the ingredients and preparation techniques. The atmosphere at Le Cheval is refined and sophisticated, making it an ideal choice for a special occasion or a romantic evening. The dim lighting and cozy seating create an intimate setting, allowing guests to enjoy their meals in peace. However, it is worth noting that dining at Le Cheval can be quite expensive, as the quality of the food and the overall experience come at a premium. Nevertheless, it is an investment well worth making for those seeking an exceptional French dining experience. In conclusion, Le Cheval is a gem among French restaurants, offering exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and an ambiance that transports you to the heart of France. Whether you are a seasoned food enthusiast or someone looking to indulge in a special occasion, Le Cheval is a culinary destination that should be on your list.

I have been eating here for 2years now! And I love this place! I am satisfied every time that I come here. I like the atmosphere here in the restaurant. Everyone is very welcoming here when you come into the restaurant they have good customer service and the waitress are pleasant ! Every time that I come here I always order many different plates to try new food or order what I like to eat here all the time lol. This restuarant is located right next to the Brazilian steak house on the corner. I can definitely say the prices are pretty good and reasonable. On my last trip here I believe I order 6 different plates or 7 and my total came out to $99 which was not bad to me because I dont mind spending money on good quality food. This place is definitely worth eating here and trying if you never ate here before . They take reservations and walk in's

Great place. I enjoyed the Lemongrass Prawns, white rice a d a Lemon iced tea. It was very tasty. It had curry and a little spice, but just enough. Unfortunately, both forks on the table were dirty and it took me awhile to get a waitress' attention.

Went for business lunch, food was absolutely amazing! Everything on the menu sounds appetizing so it could be daunting to make a choice but whatever you choose, wouldn’t disappoint. The claypot rice is chicken, beef, shrimp & broccoli layered on a bed of rice & baked. Be sure to ask for the peanut sauce (top with fresh chilli & crushed peanuts), it elevates the dish to another level. Will definitely be going back in the future

I've been coming here since 2004 and i can honestly say its still as good as the first time i came here. The food is always perfect consistently as well as the service. If you come here for lunch they have great specials and will have you in and out in 30 minutes. I cant say enough about how well this place runs. I like to consider La Cheval as the place that sets the standards from which all others are judged as they hit all mark's. My favorites are everything, ok tht said my usuals are the carrot chowder, clay pot rice and the spring rolls especially for lunch. Dinner well i like to step out and try as many of their tasty options i can. This trip i did the clay pot catfish (they were out of salmon) and to my surprise i will be adding this to my usual now, it was so good it had the taste of blackened cod (you know the kind they make at a great sushi restaurant). Also had their chicken wings n they were also delicious. Did i mention they have a full bar and make great cocktails too?

Le Cheval (Amazing Vietnamese munchies) an Oakland institution since 1985 and to answer your question, yes, it was scrumptious. I ordered the LC Combo: A shrimp & Pork kebab, Vietnamese naked chicken wings, an imperial roll (chicken n veggie eggroll) with red steamed rice ( tasted like tomatoes n rice from The south Mmmm) , dipping sweet fish sauce and salad. Go get y’all some of this goodness in your lives
