"A restaurant in Drôme Provençale offering plant-based cuisine." - Annick Weber

"Nestling at the foot of Madame de Sévigné's château, Le Clair de la Plume is the perfect embodiment of Provence's traditions of hospitality and good food: olive oil from Nyons, guinea fowl and vegetables from the Drôme etc are judiciously showcased by chef Benjamin Reilhes in the form of three tasting menus comprising several courses. One of the set menus is entirely plant-based. This restaurant is an ode to the fine produce of the Mediterranean and wines of the Rhône Valley. Pastry chef Cédric Perret creates desserts in harmony with the season, often setting them off with a striking touch of originality." - Michelin Inspector

(Restaurant only): fantastic dinner experience. The Chef and his team wow'd us all night long. It all starts out in the cute little garden outside for a very warm welcome. After an aperitive one is guided inside into the main restaurant. The setting is stellar! The food convinced us beyond just one michelin star. There was plenty of finesse and surprises throughout the evening. The service team spoke good English and explained the dishes quite well. We'd come back any time. 6 course dinner for two people and one wine pairing got us to 500€. The chef is certainly ambitious and it shows successfully.

The most amazing experience, beautiful hotel with lovely French decor and wonderful staff. We stayed in the main house over looking the garden. We were even provided complimentary coffee and croissants when leaving as we didn’t have time for breakfast. Dinner in the bistro was superb. Highly recommend

This hotel in the charming village of Grignan is actually my favourite hotel in the world. I've been coming here for years, and each time the experience gets better and better. The original hotel with it's elegant rooms and beautiful gardens make you feel transported to another world, and the new addition and renovation of the old farmhouse Chapouton which is only a few minutes walk is another creation extraordinaire! The two restaurants - the Bistro (SO great!) and the Michelin star restaurant (Which is beyond AMAZING and should definitely be on your bucket list!!) is only surpassed by the hotel staff. They are so kind and professional and always there to make sure your experience is one to remember. So many hotels strive for excellence, but this one truly delivers, and I look forward to next year's visit!! A very happy customer, Barbara (United Kingdom)

Just a few years ago, as lifelong vegetarians we couldn’t get a decent veggie meal out in France. It was a running joke that it would be a goats cheese salad every night of the holiday- if you were lucky! We visited La Clair De Plume’s gastronomic restaurant tonight and it was a breath of fresh air. A set menu of 4 courses of delicious, thoughtfully crafted vegetarian treats which we loved every minute of. We highly recommend this restaurant as a great fine dining option with a beautiful garden seating area to relax in before or after your meal. Friendly staff too :)

Amazing hotel, located in a lovely village this hotel is perfect. It's very beautiful, the rooms are very big and very well decorated. The staff is so helpful and nice, the main house is gorgeous...we wish we could spend more time at this hotel, it's a real luxe. We will return.

We had an absolutely beautiful time here. The location is idyllic, and we loved how the hotel complex was split across multiple buildings in town, all within a short few minutes walk of each other. The rooms were very well kept and comfortable, the food was so good we kept coming back for more, and the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating to all our needs. We came with a dog and they provided us with a dog bed and bowl (and a little treat, too!) which we'd not encountered before. We enjoyed our first night so much we extended our stay - it made our next day a much longer journey but was totally worth it. We were sad to leave! Thank you team CDLP. Leo, Ysabel and Gigi

We stayed for five nights in August. It is utterly charming. The rooms are old style beautiful and breakfast in the garden was a delight. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. Our room was large and tastefully decorated with antique pieces but the best thing was the view across the garden and town towards the castle. The town itself is gorgeous with lots of good places to eat. We ate at the bistro a couple of times and were not disappointed. The pools are both lovely but the natural one is a bit slippery on the bottom. Both pools have fantastic views. I would definately recommend this hotel for it's old school charm, fabulous service, good food and fabulous location.

In a very strange way I loved this hotel! Yet, when we arrived, Parking was a pain (all the villagers decided to have a party that week/weekend 🤣), our room was in an outbuilding etc but the staff made it all positive! They took the car and brought it to a secure parking, they helped us with luggage to the other building and delivered all this with a smile! ||The room itself was amazing. Old french demeure restored but in keeping with its origins. So much history runs through this hotel that in fact it should be a museum!||Finally Breakfast. Without hesitation, the best breakfast in many years… you are talking to a traveller who visits circa 30 to 40 countries per year. The quality and diversity of the breakfast was amazing. BRAVO.||Will be back at some point !
