The Saddest Restaurant Closures in Montreal for 2019 | Eater Montreal

"I went at the start of 2019 and it was one of my best meals of the year; the place felt really promising, and I was sad and surprised to learn it had closed." - Tim Forster

The restaurant located right next to La Belle Ville hotel is decent with very reasonable prices and good food. However, the menu is only in French and the handwritten style makes it difficult to translate using a translator, which complicates the selection process. Additionally, unfortunately, the staff doesn't speak English.

I was recommended to visit this restaurant by my French hosts, as they knew the owner from a shared interest in automotive and bike hobby. My experience was fantastic. The theme of the restaurant is very well constructed, with the walls covered in car and bike related decor. The food was reasonably priced for Paris. Although my steak was not cooked as requested, it was a little rare, but I blame myself as I don't speak French and it might have gotten lost in translation, the steak was fantastic. The quality of the meat was exceptional and the flavor was great. The sauce and fries accompanied the meat perfectly. I would definitely visit again if I ever have the chance.

We had three consecutive breakfasts where we tasted all the breakfasts menus, and they were amazing! The staff was cordial and kind, and the food was on another whole level!

Super friendly staff! We came three days in a row for breakfast. Our efforts to order in French were much appreciated and I learned how to pronounce “Croissant”. :-)

It is a homely place. The Parisians don’t speak English, but the waiter of the restaurant understood that my bf and I don’t spoke French well, so he speak us in English. The dishes are very basic but the service is excellent. I love this place and I suggest to come. And also the price not are very high.

From my understanding this was sold to a new owner, my trip was one of the more underwhelming meals of my life.
