"The panoramic view this restaurant affords over the Luberon and the famous ochre cliffs of Roussillon is nothing short of spectacular! As for the food, the short seasonal menu proposes bistronomy-style dishes drawing on Provençal influences: Mediterranean octopus grilled over a wood fire, stuffed peppers and house harissa; Ventoux pork, chanterelles and local blackberries; sponge cake with pistachios, lemon and raspberries. A moment of culinary bliss far from the crowds of tourists." - Michelin Inspector

Just a beautiful stay, from the moment we were met by Lisa until our departure. Spotlessly clean, but light and airy with authentic Provençal style. Regrettably the restaurant was closed, but Lisa recommended a nearby restaurant and arranged a table there, and it was simply exquisite. If you organise it in advance they also have some limited parking available.

We had room L’églantine for 4 nites. We liked this hotel. Very clean, good bathroom and comfortable with a nice deck to relax. Great location in town and excellent base to visit surrounding hill towns. Arranged parking by email with the hotel when we booked. Breakfast is not much, croissant, yogurt, juice, small shared plate of fruit, coffee/tea but the view is spectacular with outdoor seating available.

We had a lovely time in Roussillon and Le Clos de Glycine was an excellent base. The restaurant was wonderful and we had dinner both nights which were excellent. Our room was comfortable and very clean but lacked the style of the dining room. All the staff were warm welcoming and very attentive. Our only critical comment was the lack of a resident space and bar. It’s perhaps best to think of this as a great restaurant with comfortable rooms right in the centre of Roussillon.

Absolutely fantastic in every way! The view from our window was thrilling, the sparkling clean room and organised housekeeping impressed us. Worth every penny for our two-night stay. If you're planning a trip to Roussillon and looking for a place to create lasting memories, this is the place to be.

Very clean. Comfortable beds. Kind staff. Beautiful view and nice terrace! No private parking, but possibility to park in the close square. Breakfast is too expensive (18 euros per person) and not in line with expectations (no choice other than croissant, pan au chocolate, yogurt and fruit) and could be improved (I would suggest anyway a cheaper one). Restaurant was very good and a pleasant experience. Appreciated check out at 12.

Our twin room Genet. has the most breathtaking views from the beds looking out over our own private balcony. What more could you want? We were looking forward to our dinner after a long cycle with Cycling for Softies and it really didnt disappoint. The amuse Bouche was out of a Michelin star restaurant and was the standard for the rest of the meal. The beetroot with goats cheese and a pomegranate sorbet was delightful. The pigeon was cooked to perfection and the presentation was 5 star. The restaurant has a Gold star view and the breakfast was superb containing fresh strawberries, cherries, freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt bread and croissants. The lady on reception was so friendly and spoke brilliant English. The proprietor helped us out with a problem by phoning around for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely will revisit.

The restaurant was excellent! Very nice viewing of the Rousillon. You can see the famous red cliff just from you room window. The room also well clean with perfect condition.

This excellent Classic Hotel, is built in a medieval building in the very heart of Roussillon; it’s ochre walls built with the ochre clay from the ancient mine and cliffs 100 paces away. We were lucky enough to stay in Le Laurier Rose room - a spacious duplex with a couples hot-tub on a fabulous terrace overlooking the valley of vineyards and lavender fields below. The decor and feel of the place is 19th Century, although it has all of the modern conveniences. The restaurant below - David - named after its founder and opened in 1950, is fine dining, evidently the best in the area. The menu choices are classic French (Cod, Beef, Lamb, etc.) but made in the modern “gastronomique” style. |Parking is free and 10 steps from the Hotel entrance - a miracle in this Medieval town built long before cars were considered in urban planning. |We found a cat in our room upon returning one day - evidently it is hers when paying guests are not about. The internet connection is poor and sometimes non-existent, and the beds are simple mattresses - not the plush 16 inch kind of modern hotels. But these small things somehow seems appropriate in this 700 year old world:) and did not in any way detract from our stay.|All in all, a remarkable place, and I give it my highest rating.
