Le Clos Y

"Elegantly arranged next to each other, French cutlery and Japanese chopsticks symbolise the spirit of Le Clos Y. Quality ingredients, attentive execution, pursuit of subtlety: Yoshitaka Ikeda underscores once again all the well - established affinities of French and Japanese food. Simpler fare at lunchtime, "surprise menu" at dinner." - Michelin Inspector

Google
Exceptional food and service overall 💯 The food was exceptionally, full of combinations that I have not tasted before. For €68 you get 7 courses which are all at least 1 star Michelin level. One of the best France-Japanese fusion cuisine in Paris. The chef was really nice and cheerful, which made our celebration very special. Thank you chef Ikeda san.

We went here for our wedding anniversary for the evening with the “surprise” menu and the service and food were really exceptional. The courses were well thought out with the lamb and the dessert being the stars. The dessert was spectacular, was definitely our favourite dish. They even included a surprise dish for us, and even the brownie was delicious. We both left feeling very satisfied and happy and we both felt like we chose the perfect restaurant to celebrate. Thank you kindly to the chef and the staff!

Google
A great discovery with this French-Japanese restaurant that deserves more recognition. The dinner tasting menu is very reasonably priced and does not feel heavy at all even though there were a total of 7 courses. Creative and delicate with an interesting mix of ingredients. Impeccable service. Would definitely recommend.

Google
Stunning restaurant, food and and wine was exciting and excellent quality. All tables were well away from any other guest and we were in the resteraunt for the best part of 3 hours. Loved every minute, would fully recommend.

Google
Very creative and unique flavor combinations and loved every dish! Perfect marriage of French and Japanese cuisine! Great value for 7 course meal dinner! All the chefs there were super friendly and welcoming! We definitely will be back and highly recommend it!

Google
Wonderful experience... You just let yourself guide by the chef's selection for the dinner. We had 6 courses of great execution. Flavors are a subtle mix between France and Japan. The modern decoration is very much aligned to the content of the dishes. The Japanese staff is very nice. It was simply great. Highly recommended

Came for the carte blanche (six course tasting menu) with my boyfriend, €65 per person. My boyfriend also got the two glass wine pairing for €18 and I got a glass of white wine. The food was overall really good with a few misses, and the service was also excellent. The staff is all French and Japanese and speak very little English, so there were a few minor communication problems, but they tried! Our waiter was absolutely adorable. About the food: - oyster amuse bouche: very fresh tasting - sashimi: also tasted very fresh, but a little rough and hard to chew; the white stuff, which I believe was solid olive oil, was very interesting - shrimp and scallop: lightly stir fried, tasted very fresh - fried octopus: my boyfriend got a creamy mushroom soup that he could not stop raving about, and I got this instead because of my lactose intolerance. The tempura was light and excellent. - fish with rice: good but the lemon sauce was too strong and did not quite go with the dish - steak: this was the worst dish; the meat was really tough - chocolate tart: my favorite course! It was wonderfully rich with great contrast between the warm tart, the cold chocolate powder stuff, and the vanilla bean ice cream. I loved this. Flavor, texture, and temperature contrasts and combinations stood out to me the most. Would recommend trying this place out.

Yelp
Understated, yet refined. Even with all the good food choices in Paris, you should definitely make an effort to try le clos y. We stumbled in on a Tuesday night, hoping we could get in without a reservation, and didn't even have to wait -- we were seated at a table right away! We had the 7-course tasting menu. The dishes were so artistic -- bold and bright flavors -- a treat for all the senses. You could tell the attention to detail for each dish that was brought out. Embarrassingly, our French was limited to very few words 'merci' 'bonjour' etc...yet, despite our limited language capabilities, the waitstaff was very accommodating and friendly, even going as far as attempting to describe the complex dishes to us in English. (If you do speak French, you'll get the full descriptions, but even if you don't, definitely worth a stop) In a city where a fancy cocktail could easily run you 25€, this 65€ is well worth it. Delicious food and amazing experience -- a true culinary delight!

Yelp
Had an absolutely wonderful meal here. A really creative array of dishes beautifully presented and with amazing flavors. We did the Chef's tasting menu - what was striking wasn't was both reasonably priced and had no weak links. Every dish was delicious. Overall location is perhaps what holds these folks back, however the inside decor is pleasant and understated and the service was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience here. My group's French is nothing short of terrible but they were very accommodating trying to explain each dish in English. We also walked in on a Wednesday, fully expecting them to turn us away, but they squeezed us onto their bar. We had the chef's tasting menu paired with 3 wines - a Champaign, a sauvignon blanc and a Bordeaux. We started off with a snapper ceviche - or was light and paired very well with the Champaign. We then had a grilled octopus dish with squid ink barley and corn. After that we had a warm cauliflower soup that was perfect after the octopus. Another dish dish followed but I couldn't make out what she said the type was. The main dish was a prime rib that was melt in your mouth delicious. The dessert was a melon sorbet with an almond cream. The service was exceptional and they had a very unique fusion of Japanese and French cuisine. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Here at Le Clos Y... you see slightly more relaxed atmosphere with huge one piece cherry wood counter ( apparently they have imported it from Japan ). There is a small separate room for a private dining as well. The group started the restaurants in Osaka over a decade ago and started one in Paris with The chef Ikeda.. who is very dedicated and humble. He is actually a very friendly and funny guy! The degustation course menu is as expected innovative Japanese/ French with great wine and friendly service--all boxes ticked. Definitely the value for money ( one of the best ) Beautiful presentation with the stories, they are light and delicious. The shrimp in the salted oil is superb! Note that you can comfortably dine here alone and it will be yet very enjoyable. It is becoming more and more popular so again book ahead Oh forgot to mention that he has a fantastic stereo/sound system - must see !

Yelp
Went for lunch. They have a small and well chosen menu. The attention to detail of each course is well above par, indeed the presentation was a delight. Main course was a saddle of beef- well seasoned and juicy. I didn't get a chance to ask about the locality of the farms and sources, but all ingredients were fresh and tasty. The desert was a nougat ice cream which was very nutty and utterly delicious. Not too expensive, be prepared for a long wait, but it's worth it.

Yelp
Le Clos Y was a crazy gastro-adventure. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic for those individuals who are looking for a date night. But that doesn't mean it's not a bad place for large groups either. The food was amazing. The scallops and shrimp dish left me salivating throughout the rest of the night. The "blackened" fish was divine. The beef flank melted in my mouth. The desserts left me on cloud 9. Everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious and made with such precision. All of the dishes were beautiful and I was taken aback but just how wonderful the whole experience was.

Yelp
The chef of this restaurant understood how to make happy his clients, six tasty dishes that you can't choose. Starters of seafood, fresh and with special matches. For example I really loved the sashimi of turbo with rice chip. I loved the carrots tempura or the beef steak well cooked with baked onion. The location is warm and welcoming. The service is just amazing, servers explain ingredients and composition.. It's a pleasure of the eyes and of taste

Yelp
7 of us had a fantastic time trying the two tasting menus for E40/60. The dishes are inventive and a delight to see. While I didn't take a picture of the "volcano" it was a striking seafood dish that you will enjoy if it's on the menu when you come. The Chef deftly accommodated our group's different requirements so don't worry if for example you avoid viande.

Yelp
Had an amazing meal here tonight! We were looking for a good meal for our last night in Paris and wanted something more elegant and delicate than the usual cafes in the area. Found this place on yelp and do not regret eating here one bit! Highly recommended, the food is incredible and the flavors are phenomenal. The staff was adorable and quite friendly!
