I bought coffee and asked to be grinded for Turkish coffee. The employee made a mistake and grinded for a different style of coffee. When I returned to ask her to grind the coffee in the correct way she refused. She even dared to argue that I was wrong and that the way she did it was the correct grind for Turkish coffee. 16 euros in coffe to the bin. Quite disappointing because the store is very nice otherwise.

A truly wonderful place to find excellent quality specialty herbs and spices as well as superbly blended teas and accessories. I was very happy to find a place to get these authentic French items to take back home to the US. While there was a bit of a language barrier, i used the Google translator on my phone so the very sweet lady clerk could help me find just what I was looking for. So glad I found this little gem of a store! Merci!

Best pepper ever found in my life. And the funniest thing are all those making remarks about the name - hope they will better fit at Burger King.

Don’t trust the idiotic reviews from people who haven’t even been there. It’s a great place, with great products and a very nice old lady who runs it. Don’t think twice before coming here.

Yelp
Comptoir Colonial is a wonderful, charming little spice store off of the famous rue Lepic. They have almost every spice imaginable, sold by the kilo. They fill you up at very decent prices. There is a 50 gram minimum, which I find quite fair. This epicerie has been in business for many decades, and if I am correct, the sweet and helpful woman who runs the place has been there for 40 years. They also have loads of exotic sauces, vinegars, jams, and cupboards full of tea. I would love to say I'll be back soon, but I'm fully stocked for the moment.
