1st time here today. Waitress was horrible. We were sat with an attitude, 3 other tables were sat after us, and all had ordered, got there drinks, and we still were waiting to order. Waited 30 minutes. Waitress did come to apologize before we were done eating. Went to leave and asked for manager, Dennis was phenomenal, and understanding of situation. We stayed and had brunch, Jackie took care of us when we decided to stay. Photos showing how great everything looks, and tasted great. Thank you to Dennis and Jackie for making us a wonderful meal.

Google
The service was amazing so consequently an anticipation of quality ingredients resulted in a heartbreaking let down. I went with company and had lovely service but the food was absolutely mediocre. Canned mushrooms and bad mozzarella (the taste from cheese on the verge of going off) left me wishing I’d found another establishment. It was also rather cold food. They said they where down a cook so maybe that’s why it was so bad.

Google
Tried both a savory and sweet, but I forgot to snap my savory crepe! I had the spicy chicken truffle and added avocado and mushrooms by the recommendation of my server, and it was deliciousness 😋 I could only eat half because I truly wanted a sweet crepe as well so I got the patriot and switched out the Nutella for caramel...again deliciousness 😋 enjoyed my dining experience from the time I opened the door to paying my check and departing. Service was friendly with a smile and great suggestions that made my stomach happy. I will definitely be back again!

Google
Drove all the way here and arrived at 3:00pm because they close at 4:00pm. I should have had an entire hour before they closed. I walked in to order, but they said they were already closed for a private event. Her demeanor wasn’t even apologetic. Nothing was indicated on their website about the establishment being closed early.

As I sit here in Le Crepe eating my berry crepe with whipped cream and powdered sugar sprinkled on top, I had to put my fork down long enough to write this review. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable. The crepes we order were perfect and the taste was everything we had hoped. We have been searching for crepes that met our expectations since we moved to the area 4 years ago. We found our place. Do not hesitate to enjoy a marvelous crepe at Le Crepe. To add a nice touch to your crepe, order a cup of coffee, it is wonderful.

I would eat here every morning if I could. The atmosphere was so peaceful and joyful, the food was amazing.

Decided to visit this restaurant for breakfast while staying just outside of the Detroit area. The selection of entrées here is incredible. The staff/owners were very kind and welcoming and the service was very fast. We will definitely return if we are ever back in this area.

Google
The food was good. We got a selection of savory crepes as well sweet crepes. If you don't like crepes, obviously this is not a great place for you. The savory crepes were flavorful, but the steak one could have used more steak or maybe thinner slices of steak to facilitate more even meat distribution throughout the dish. The sweet dessert crepes were yummy. Atmosphere is quaint and we had a nice quiet meal.

Yelp
This place is a fantastic little local gem! Like a spot plucked right out of Paris, Le Crepe is unassuming along the main drag in Royal Oak. I decided to go here recently to catch up with a friend over lunch, and we both wanted to try a new place. After entering through the vestibule, we were seated at a cozy bistro table with a bench against the wall and chairs on the other side. Service was attentive and the food was delicious. The whole experience really hit the spot! If you're considering going here, don't delay! You'll be glad that you checked it out.

Yelp
There are 4 different crepes. They were all pretty mediocre. The Nutella 1 was not overly sweet and paired nicely with banana. The other 2 were interesting but I would not go back for them. Nothing overly wrong, just maybe not my thing. The bacon was burned, in addition. I also got a steak salad. That was also just average. The steak some parts were not chewable. The salad was a little bit heavy and oil/dressing, even though I got a dressing on the side. The atmosphere was all right and kept clean. The bathroom was clean. The service was okay and we were asked many times before meal was good. They were accompanying. The service was better than the food.

Yelp
First off, coffee was served in a chipped mug. The waitress could not see why that was a problem, but did replace it. Now to the food, we were there during a restaurant week, so you got an entree and dessert. The entree was good, but the waitress asked at least three times if I would order dessert. I wanted to finish and the I would. I gave in finally, thinking she would wait until I was done. The dessert was brought right away. By the time, I got to it, it was actually runny. Since the chef was out and about, I told him. He did take responsibility for it. I thought he was going to replace it. No. I love this kind of food and I would like to go back, but so far I haven't. Imagine on a restaurant week where you are supposed to be 'showing off' to act like that.

Yelp
*** This cute little gem is a great day starter. *** I stopped in here for a quick bite and was hooked. It is small yet charming. Quick service yet attentive. The number of savory crêpe options is mindboggling. I only got a chance to taste 3, but all were excellent ... Spicy Chicken Truffle ... perfectly balanced ... 5-stars Signature Ribeye Truffle... hearty and tasty ...5-stars Seabreeze Seafood ... wow, quite creative ... 4-stars Their crêpes are made thin, light and subtly layered. *** I would def recommend starting a day here. ***

Samantha G.

Yelp
We visited Le Crepe for brunch and it was wonderful. It is such a cutely decorated spot. The crepes were delicious. The waiters were very attentive. I am definitely having brunch here again soon!

Kasey O.

Yelp
An amazing selection of sweet and savory crepes. I tend to go the sweet route. The fresh fruit selection was fantastic and the preserves added a very rustic element to the dish.

hannah w.

Yelp
Amazing food made by the owners brother and service from the owners sister. Food came quickly and was delicious.

Callie S.

Yelp
I came here randomly on 06/06/2023 for a quick breakfast. I was in the area and wanted a quick bite. Very tasty and just what I didn't know I need. I love a good crepe and these were nice and good. I chose a savory one- the DeJa Vu, and it was delicious. I added red onion- comes with smoked salmon, Swiss cheese, asparagus and a spicy sauce! Ambiance is cute and quaint- small space but the decor is lovely. They have books at the front that you can read while dining in. So I took advantage of that. My server Denise was nice. If you're looking for a place to get a quick bite- here's your spot. I enjoyed!

Thomas D.

Yelp
The food was very tasty, but I got the sense that some of the ingredients inside it weren't freshly prepared. I was also a little bit underwhelmed with the portions of the meal. The interior decor had a charming French theme though and the staff was very friendly. If you are in the mood for a crepe, this place is a great option!

Ian L.

Yelp
Wow. What a great surprise. Excellent breakfast treat, prompt service, delicious flavors.

Eshtar O.

Yelp
I've eaten here a couple of times and I don't think I would again. Probably some of the worst crepes I've ever had in my life. The food didn't taste clean or fresh, plus there were flies all over the inside during the summer when I went.

Taylor A.

Yelp
Really good place for crepes! I had the James Dean without the sausage. Delicious! The cherry maple glaze on the crepe was a little too sweet for me but overall the meal was very good. Also nice seating outside.

Taliy S.

Yelp
Their marinated chicken crepes are the best!!! We tried salmon and it was great too. The sweet one, the berry crepe was with berry jam and it tasted like a sweet homemade jam, super yummy the most amazing thing was how fast the service was on a sunday morning, and of course the kindness of waitresses and the management. Ambience is great too - inside and outside

Lisa D.

Yelp
This little French crepe restaurant is focused on wonderful breakfast and lunch crepes. The atmosphere is like a French bistro in Paris, complete with soft French songs. They have an extensive Vegetarian menu, and almost all of the crepes can be gluten free. I consistently get The Obvious with peanut butter, which has caramelized apples, chicken, pecans, spinach, feta, and pecans. You can customize the crepes as you wish, and they have a variety of sauces too. The restaurant is spotless, and in the summer you can eat outside, though the tables outside only fit two people. They have counter seating that allows you to people watch outside. Because they are small, you may have a wait at peak times. We generally get both savory and dessert crepes, because both are delicious. I avoid dairy and am gluten free as a celiac, and have never had a problem eating here. My Vegetarian and gluten free daughter enjoys it as well. The crepes are delicious and the servings are generous. Service is quick and professional. I would highly recommend this wonderful little bistro!

Yelp
I love crepes! What a yummy vehicle to carry whatever deliciousness you please. I found Le Crepe on Door Dash, as I'm hardly going anywhere doing these drab covid-filled days. Can't wait to visit in-person. I'm sure the Parisian ambiance sets the tone for a yummy experience. I found the food super tasty. I can't wait to the days where I am comfortable to make a visit in person. I ordered two crepes, one savory, one sweet. I loved them both. The savory one, steak, spinach and mushroom was accompanied by a delicious truffle oil. The steak was cooked exactly like I ordered it and the spinach & mushrooms, which are my favorite food duo, were plentiful and fresh. The sweetie, a banana crepe was delightful with a cream cheese accompaniment. I could have used more of that and more bananas, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The313BrunchBabe F.

Yelp
One of my absolutely favorite creperies! The food here is always fresh and the coffee tastes amazing! It's such a cute restaurant with all the Paris-centric decor! Plus I love the fact that even though they don't serve liquor, you can byob with no cork fee! I've been here so many times that I've had almost every crepe there is to order the banana exotique is my absolute FAVORITE, the best on the menu if you ask me! It never disappoints and is always delicious!

Yelp
This is a great spot in the bustling end of Royal Oak. I have the James Dean crepe and subbed chicken. It was great. I'm a bigger guy so I like a lot of food. My eyes told me I wanted more but after I ate my meal I was satisfied. I don't normally eat crepes but this place has me wanting to try more.

Emily G.

Yelp
Delicious crepes! We went on Super Bowl Sunday and it was pretty quiet but that is probably not the norm. We were seated quickly and got our food quickly!

Abigail O.

Yelp
Service was friendly, the crepe was amazing! It's a small French inspired boutique type of restaurant. Not really made for large groups. There was a large group there having a good time and then me and my father. I'd say that if the restaurant were full, it may be too loud.

Will G.

Yelp
The food was great. I ordered the Steak salad and it was cooked to perfection. The sevice was wonderful and we were well taken care of.I look forward to returning and trying something different.

Yelp
I found this restaurant on Groupon, and glad I did. I really don't think that I would have been as happy with my lunch if I were to have to pay full price. It's a quaint, small space. So small that the staff has to do a lot of the prep work out in the dining room while I was eating. Using the bar along the window front as a workspace. The food was mediocre and the help was definitely not engaged with the customer. This was my first time there and there was no conversation about the menu or the food. I have a pretty open mind about what I like, and I always make it a point to tell the staff this is my first time in and what they would recommend. At that point, if the staff tells me everything is good, I question whether or not they've even tasted anything. Everyone has an opinion of one thing or another to be the best or not their choice.

Kaela K.

Yelp
Growing up in Canada, in a heavily French influenced town, I'm pretty skeptical about restaurant crêpes. I actually brought my best friend who lived in Paris for six years with me here for a quick brunch, so the expectations were mixed. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We both went the savory route and nearly ate our entire plate. My friend got the bon appétit (ham, fire roasted peppers, caramelized onions, scrambled eggs, cheddar) and I got the green goat (pan-seared, house marinated chicken, bacon, green apples, caramelized onions, mixed greens, goat cheese, roasted garlic, and shallot vinaigrette). The flavor combinations were amazing and so filling. We also both got coffee drinks - I got a regular mocha, which I found a little bit too sweet. My friend got an iced latte, which she said was just right. Overall, had a good experience in this charming little breakfast place. I would love to try more of their savory items in the future!

Rylee G.

Yelp
We were seated and no one came by for 15 minutes. We flagged someone down, and they said "have you been helped yet?" She preceded to take our order - no "sorry about that" - and it was clear that she wasn't. The staff paid little attention to the customers. Food was decent, but my vanilla latte tasted like warm milk. Overall, not bad food, but the waiting and disengagement from the wait staff ensures that I won't be back.

Kristin E.

Yelp
First time at Le Crepe and so happy to find authentic crepes! Ordered the Deja Vu and ate every last bite! The smoked salmon and asparagus combo was delicious and loved the spicy hollandaise. Can't wait to try more of their menu!

Yelp
Never been to a Crepe restaurant, so when I saw that LE Crepe was part of restaurant week, I set up a reservation for my Chinese Culture group. With the limited sitting, I was glad that they did take one for a Saturday lunch. So was the rest of my group since we were in for a treat. While most of us choose the baby greens house salad with died cherries, red onions, candied pecans, feta cheese, and house vinaigrette dressing, a few had the soup of the day broccoli cheese. The majority had the James Dean crepe - sausage, egg, potatoes, cheddar with cherry maple glaze, I had come for the Monte Cristo since I have been on the look for a good one since Claddagh Irish Pub messed up theirs by deep frying instead of fixing it like French toast. All I will say, I will be back for it again. Even after taking half my crepe and salad home, I still didn't have room for my choose of desserts - the Nutty Monkey which had bananas, Nutella, candied pecans, along with vanilla ice cream. It was a sharable size for the group. While I was able to find parking on the street which wasn't too expensive, most of my group found parking in the parking structure which is free for 2 hours before 5:00. While they have a huge choice of tea and let you bring in your own wine, if you are a pop drinker like me, you have to make do with cans. That along with limited seating caused my 4 start review.

Burt W.

Yelp
French themed but just barely .Small interior, tight & uncomfortable seating. Service OK but somewhat unfriendly. Crepes served room temperature (annoying!) . The sweet nutella, banana etc. ones were better than the savory ones. The James Dean crepe cold & lumpy. Prices reasonable. Nothing special here.

Yelp
Just grabbed a carry out after a long day at work and OMG YUM!! I usually get Chicken Truffle Crepe and its always delicious.... this time I got the Ribeye Truffle and I have a new love! Lol The perfectly cooked steak was so tender I cut it easily with the plastic carry out knife! I swear I could put that truffle zip on my hand and lick it off.... soooo tasty! The crepe was perfect, cooked just like the ones we got in Paris. I was so excited I forgot to get a picture. The Chocolate Eclair crepe was delicious. Just the right blend of creamy and sweet, not overly sweetened... I only meant to eat half of it but my hand kept slipping back LOL

Diane B.

Yelp
I tried steak crepe. It was awful! The steak was tough and it had no flavor. I also had peach cobbler that was amazing. Much better then the steak. The waitress was awesome.

Liz P.

Yelp
Almost exactly three years later to the day and time to update this review. A friend and I went here recently before a show downtown. We had purchased the Groupon which was a good deal, it allowed us to get $50 worth of food and we paid about $25 for it. We started off with the crispies with spinach and artichoke dip, I had never had those there so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was basically like cut up crepes with Parmesan and butter, and the dipping sauce was great as well. We both got the ribeye crepe with mushrooms and truffle oil. I asked for mine medium and she asked for hers medium rare, instead we got one cooked medium and one cooked medium well. Didn't matter as much to me so I took the medium well and it was still tasty. For dessert, we opted to split the chocolate eclair crepe, which was delicious. Service was much better this time too, aside from the steak mishap. My water glass was always full which was nice. Since my last review, the Ann Arbor location has since closed, so this is the only place to get crepes, at least the only one closest to me. It's a little pricey, but with a Groupon it was a good deal, and the meal was very tasty.

Benedicte D.

Yelp
I lived a long time in France and know what an authentic crepe tastes like. This is definitely it along with the musique for the ambience... Paris in the spring, ahhhh. This is the best in the area! Even the GF crepes are delicious. We have been many times and have brought many guests and all agree. It is really worth coming back to encore and encore. Merci! Thank you

Lily N.

Yelp
Positives: The chocolate eclair crepe was so good. Negatives: Honestly, everything else. My boyfriend says "Le Crepe? More like Le Crap" and he's not wrong. This was the worst service I have ever received. I'll start by when we arrived. It's a small restaurant and there was a party table that took up half the restaurant, they told us 45-50 minutes, there's three couples ahead of us, no problem, we'll wait. But then three girls walk in after us and they tell them it's a less than 20 minute wait. They seat the table of three girls before any of the people who arrived first. Not okay. While me and the three other couples proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for a table. They finally seat all of us at the same time right next to each other. There was one server who took all the orders. Went to the first table, SKIPPED OURS, and took two more tables right next to us. I kid you not, this server didn't take our ordered for another 15 minutes. I finally wave her down and she takes our order. We ordered a lot of food and she asked when we wanted it and I told her, "bring out the food whenever it's ready." The tables who sat at the same time as us are eating their food and we haven't even gotten our appetizer yet. Appetizer comes out 35 minutes after ordering. The tables who sat at the same time are leaving and new tables are seating and we STILL haven't gotten our food. The new table next to us orders and our orders come out at the same time. We waited an hour and a half for our food and we had to track down the server several times because she skipped over us. The servers didn't even care. This is a piss poor excuse of an establishment. The dessert was good but I will never come back. Le Crap is right.

Evalyn B.

Yelp
Food ok servers not efficient forgot beverage slow service waitress not attentive probably won't return have eaten better crepes

Yelp
My best friend and I went here today and OMG the food was phenomenal, little wait, fast service (although it was only us two in there and notably the first customers of the day) The place is super clean and has awesome decor. The food looked so pleasing to the eye and the taste was on the same level! Looking forward to luckily be able to come here again!!! (I.e The Patriot Crepe)

Norma H.

Yelp
Service was pleasant, food presentation was great and it tasted amazing. I was not disappointed! On the contrary: i was delighted! It is now on my list of faves!

Fatme H.

Yelp
Food was under cooked. Asked for it to be remade and still came back under cooked. Crepe looked like it was thrown together

Jeff T.

Yelp
I was going to try and eat at le crepe today, but it was closed at a time when it should've been open. I tried calling a couple times, but there was no answer and a full voicemail box.

Judy Z.

Yelp
Enjoyed a delicious lunch today to celebrate my birthday at Le Crepe! Service was great- very friendly and attentive. Very Parisienne decor with great photos & Eiffel Towers galore! Would recommend Le Crepe in Royal Oak.

Julius R.

Yelp
Great food and service. Unique menu. Great ambiance. I took my wife for breakfast and we loved the food.

Tim L.

Yelp
Awesome Food and Great People!!! Would recommend this awesome Place to everyone I know!!! Keep up the good work...

Margo S.

Yelp
A great brunch place in the Royal Oak area. My boyfriend and I came here because we've heard lots of great things about this place and it owned up to most of them. My boyfriend ordered the Harmony (tomato, salmon, asparagus, spicy hollandaise frittata with a side of crepe and maple syrup) and an orange juice. The frittata was pretty amazing. Both of us agreed we would get that again. The orange juice was also really good. The side of crepe was honestly slightly confusing, as it felt more pancake-like than crepe-like. I got a hazelnut latte, smores crepe (subbing out the chocolate syrup for nutella), and a side of the maple glazed ham. The smores crepe turned out really great, this is one I would definitely recommend. The hazelnut latte was mildly disappointing honestly, it tasted more watery than I would like and couldn't taste any espresso in it. Finally, the maple glazed ham was alright. I would probably not get it a second time. I would come back though to try something new. The quick service and bright atmosphere both make the visit worth it.

Anne L.

Yelp
So wanted to like this place - ordered Monte Cristo - which was like no other Monte Cristo - in a bad way! A Monte Cristo is supposed to be moist and cheesy! This crepe was dry on both the outside and inside! Wrong in every way: brittle crepe couldn't even be rolled around the dry filling of overcooked ham & turkey cubes; paper thin slice of cheese was tasteless and barely visible - took my companions to point it out as it was near invisible and had zero flavor! Couldn't even choke down half of it and having to battle the cracker-like crepe itself with a fork that was bent and 2 inches shorter than my knife was just too much!

Sari G.

Yelp
Cute little crepe place! Good sweet and savory options. My husband and I like to split a few because my favorite are the dessert ones!

Adam Y.

Yelp
Walked in later on a Sunday afternoon. Was mostly empty which was nice. Was greeted very quickly and sat just as quick. When I came there was a Royal oak "black restaurant week" (not sure what that means) which included soup or salad and 2 crepes - one savory and one sweet. I got a mushroom crape and a cinnamon one. I felt like the mushroom crepe had too much oil but overall it was pretty good. The cinnamon crepe game of thrones of fresh fruit nitro blueberries. It was also good. Service was great, and the small feel of the place with the added touches of artifacts resembling French architecture and styling were nice.

Marie D.

Yelp
Cute little crepe place in quite an odd spot.. by the train racks across the street from the line of restaurants with D'Amato's/Good Night Gracie's. Inside decor was adorable. We could bring wine with no corkage, so naturally we ran across the street to the General Store to get a couple of bottles. Got the crispies, which are crisped crepes pieces, served like nachos. It was an interesting concept, but just okay in execution. Got the ribeye truffle and seabreeze crepes to share. Seabreeze crepe was delicious - the crepe was so fluffy and wonderful, and the flavors of the shrimp, pesto, sundried tomatoes, and bacon worked really well (I didn't think it would at first). The ribeye truffle was well made and delicious as well, though there was a clear difference in the fluffiness/thickness of the crepe between the two dishes. Got the Chocolate E'Clair crepe for dessert. Vanilla custard was delicious, plus whipped cream, plus white chocolate..yum. Crepe was fluffy and perfect for it. I personally prefer savory crepes but that dessert crepe is great to share with some friends.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Eh. I would give 4 stars for effort but because of price and taste, I have to give to a 3. We started off with the cripsies with asparagus and mushroom con queso which looked amazing. However, they were only ok. Nothing special and tasted like it was missing something. We also ordered a basic salad which was pretty good though! We both had vegetarian crepes. Mine was the standby I believe. The asparagus in it SO SALTY and ruined the whole thing I thing and the stuff inside was lukewarm. My boyfriend had the mushroom one which was just way too much mushroom. I have to admit though that I enjoyed the crepe part of it though. The texture and taste were just right. Finally, we got an apple dessert crepe and this is where this place stood out. That was my favorite part of the meal. I always feel like I have the best luck ordering sweet, not savory crepes. Only complaint was it was too sweet. The ambiance in here is nice which is what is expected for a place in downtown Royal Oak. Oh and the service was good! Overall, the food is too expensive (crepes in the $8-$16 range) based on how it tasted. If you can afford the time to go to the Little Crepe and Pierogi Kitchen in Wyandotte, you should. The crepes there are $5 for sweet and $6 for savory. They don't have as many "high end" fancy ingredients like avocado, but they are very good nonetheless (although the crepes there are more like pancakes).

k k.

Yelp
Pricing are shocking. Food is sub-par. I glanced at the menu and didn't want a crepe stuffed with 8 things and covered in sauce. That's not how crepes work. I should have left, but in my mind I wanted a crepe. Soo. I ordered a "build your own" crepe with meat and another with veggies. BEWARE. None of the prices are on the menu. The crepe itself is $6.00 cheddar $1.50 spinach $1.00 mushrooms $3.00 ---------------- $11.50 THREE DOLLARS FOR SOME MUSHROOMS? JFC. Next crepe $6.00 chicken $4.00 parmesan $1.50 ----------------$11.50 The crepes have a odd taste ... perhaps they use buttermilk?? The mushroom & spinach crepe ... something tasted off. I wonder if the mushrooms are bad, or if there's vinegar in them? I don't want food poisoning, so I won't eat that one. I ate the chicken one. It was boring. It contained chunks of grilled, marinated chicken which are dry and overcooked. Will post photos

Adrian H.

Yelp
This place is wonderful You have to go! The food is great the people are great the owner is super nice. I am a big big fan

Tre J.

Yelp
This is a great place for lunch or brunch in the Royal Oak area. Not many places are dedicated to just crepe so I always recommend this when anyone asks. My favorite are the S'mores and Appletastic. They have great portions with just the right amount of sweetness. Its almost like when I was in France. I wish they would open more locations because I believe they would do great, especially downtown Detroit.

Yelp
Those who know me know I'm a big fan of crepes and I'm always looking for the next new thing. I came across this quaint new Brunch restaurant called; Le Crepe in Royal Oak, MI and it was an eye-opening experience. Nestled in-between neighboring shops on a nostalgic little street in Royal Oak MI. Le Crepe has already created quite a fan base as it was packed to capacity with standing room only when I made my visit. When I have a taste for crepes, I typically go for dessert crepes, but I stepped out of my comfort zone and I'm glad I did. Le Crepe is not your typical crepe point blank period. If you're looking for a crepe bundled with a mixture of savory creations, this is your place. Plain Crepes aren't really a la carte on the menu. This is something important to keep in mind, if you're going after a simpler pallet or if you just have a craving for crepes. Overall the experience was a pleasant one as a whole. And I recommend it for anyone who is curious to try a more unorthodox approach to crepes.
