Le D'Arville

Having been here before on a couple of occasions we planned our route to make sure we were here for dinner staying just down the road from the restaurant. As before the food was outstanding paired with great service and a beautiful setting this restaurant is very difficult to beat. The tasting menu allows a choice of dishes which enables everyone to have the best of both worlds. With generous servings of wine with the pairing option it was a great relief we were staying at their accommodation just down the road. A super evening and without any doubt it won’t be our lat one despite being a bit of a long drive from Northampton!

This is a nice resto and we'll most likely be back. Lots of trainees or young interns at service, super friendly, but it definitely lowered the experience as things were not as supposed to be at that resto quality of 15/20 in Gault Millau. Atmosphere perfect. Food was from our point of view on one hand great and great ideas. It felt in some courses that the execution was not perfect: the macarons were definitely too crunchy and not smooth, together with our glas of champagne that was too warm and felt as if the bottle was from day before or definitely too long open this was a low start. Lots of great food afterwards, the ravioli were too hard, maybe not enough cooked or somehow prepared before, but the filling tasty and really great idea and execution. All other plates excellent. We'll come back to see if another day with probably less people this could even be better. Dogs are allowed, great.

This is a very nice restaurant with VERY polite service. We ate very good and were relaxed. Major downside is a VERY limited card with only two menus and even than we were not allowed to mix the two. We were all forced to take only one menu. For the price they charged they should offer more versatility. It's a shame because this aspect makes me reluctant to go back.

A classic since time immemorail the Darville manage to be better from a state you'd think it's not possible to improve anyway. The menu is always well balanced and the chef keeps you entertained with extra quality prime ingredients served in an inventive pleasurable way. Take the menu with the wines, not only do they know better but also are not shy to top your glass. More than 15 years of Darville for us, we are faithfull clients, thanks Estelle, Olivier and the wonderful staff !

An excellent place to dine with delicious food and a cozy but modern atmosphere. Loved it!
