La Vie

"This casual neighbourhood dining spot started out as a steakhouse, but switched to serving European cuisine with Asian influences. Their signature kataifi prawn is tiger prawn wrapped in crispy noodles, fried and served in a prawn bisque sauce. Meat lovers should check out the Australian Wagyu ribeye which is cooked to perfection on a charcoal grill. It comes with a range of condiments but the wasabi works best. Wine is available by the bottle only." - Michelin Inspector

Le Dream has a double king bed you can book, and that was perfect for a family vacation with my parents. For the value here it's absolutely worth it. This isn't a five star shiny hotel, but it's a comfortable place to stay that's within walking to distance to incredible food. We didn't purchase their breakfast with our room because the options in the neighborhood were too good to skip. My mom also thought the bathroom was pretty cute and I agree. The only problem we had with our room was that on the last day, one of our room cards stopped triggering the electricity slot in the room. But I went downstairs and they gave me a new card immediately which worked. Really great and courteous staff.

We stayed at Le Dream Boutique Hotel during our visit to George Town and really enjoyed our time here. The location is excellent — just a short walk to the famous Penang street art and the lively Chinese food street, so exploring the area was super convenient. The staff were very helpful and courteous, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel also has a Michelin-recognized restaurant on site. Our room was clean and comfortable, perfect to relax after a day of walking around town. The complimentary breakfast was made to order, which felt personal, though the menu options were a bit limited. Overall, it’s a lovely boutique stay with great service and an unbeatable location — perfect for exploring the heart of George Town.

Exceptional hotel with unexceptional staff. It was a joy to stay at this place. The location is spot on, the rooms are clean and so are the washrooms. The bedsheets are also changed daily. The AC and WiFi work very well. I loved my experience here, would 10/10 recommend to anyone coming to Georgetown. PS- Navi, was exceptionally helpful, he guided me to all the best spots in town. Thank you.

Le Dream was a good choice for my first visit to Georgetown. It located within a reasonable walking distance to many of the popular sites around Georgetown including Armenian Street, Penang street art, Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi, Little India and the jetties to call out a few.|I arrived before checkin and completed all the paperwork before leaving my luggage and heading off to do some sightseeing. When I returned my room was available ahead of schedule which was nice. My first room was windowless and while I did not stay long in it I did miss that window. Luckily my 2nd reservation was for a standard room with a window.|Both room types were good size with a small desk, refrigerator, hot pot and a closet with a safe. A sofa was included in the windowless room. The bedding was comfortable. The bathrooms were functional with a couple shelves to hold toiletries and a shower that actually kept most of the water inside instead of splashing all over the floor.|The first floor restaurant was Michelin rated and had a decent crowd every night though I did not eat at the hotel.|The rooftop had a decent view along with a bar and two hot tubs. |Staff overall were efficient and friendly. |Overall enjoyed my stay especially at this price point.

Room was nice but had a few problems with the bathroom as the sink and toilet were leaking. Mentioned this to the staff on two occasions, but were then told on our final night that they had tried to come twice to fix it in the evening but we had do not disturb on as we were then in the room, despite having been out all day. The rooftop although advertised as being open was under construction, dirty and the hot tubs had no water in which was a shame when we wanted to use those facilities. Was in a good location but wouldn’t rush back to stay here.

Google
Nice, comfortable stay. Wouldn’t say 4* given some of the facilities weren’t up to par. Good location. Good location for walking to everything in Georgetown. Friendly staff, clean room, aircon worked well and great blackout blinds. Used the laundry service which was prompt and came back smelling great. We had a problem with our toilet continuously running which took them 4 hours to even get someone to come and look to fix, ended up being done around 9pm. The hotel uses small single use toiletries (shampoo and shower gel) which is bad for the environment and comes across cheap compared to nice refill options. Hotel advertises hot tubs which were cold 2/3 nights we were there. We also used the room service to order pizza which took over an hour to come and ended up being the smallest, most store bought frozen looking pizza you’d ever seen (definitely not what you’d expect from their lavish, expensive menu downstairs) Would still recommend but the hotel could do with some upgrading of options and facilities.

Google
The hotel is located near Chulia street (5 minutes) and Armenia street is also at walkable distance (10 minutes). Rooms are very small considering the prices and services are not upto the mark. Dont go by images shown on website, rooms are very small. AC was somehow working Ok ok. Terrace bar and jacuzzi arrangement is good if you use. They dont have bellboy for luggage movement. Overall hotel building is well maintained.

Google
Excellent value for the reasonable price. Room and washroom were clean. Best part is the location — close to many tourist spots, with plenty within walking distance. Near convenience stores, self-service laundry, Kimberley Street Food Night Market, and shopping centres. Great base for exploring the area.

Yelp
Not what I expected What? I had a quick stay here. It had the basics. Looked very nice. Not noisy at all. Environment Very close to a lot of places. Very convenience, walking distances. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff. Dollar It was reasonable. Just a note, you need to add a $100 cash deposit which you will get back when you check out, once they have checked the place Yes? I would

Yelp
Fantastic hotel conveniently located in the buffer zone in Penang. The staff here is amazing. They remembered us despite have 40+ rooms in the building, and even stored our luggage while we took a 3-day trip out of town. The hotel and rooms are very modern and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable with soft sheets. The bathroom had a modern egg-like toilet with plenty of amenities if you happened to forget something at home. The room was so pleasant that we kind of felt bad for lounging in our room instead of going out to explore Penang in the blistering heat. The location is convenient, and there is a mall across the street, a night market a block away, and one of the most popular restaurants (Tek Sen) only a few blocks away. I found that staying in the buffer zone, rather than the core zone, was better, because you got the benefits of plenty of restaurants and shops while only being less than 10 mins away from the old heritage buildings. The core zone, while closer to the heritage buildings, had less around in terms of entertainment or restaurants. We signed up for the city bike program (LINK) for less than 2RM a day and rode a bike around town. The thing that sets Le Dream apart from all other hotels (and why it's #1 on Tripadvisor) is all the freebies! They have a packed itinerary of events with free stuff all day long: - Breakfast from 7:30-10:30am. This is a full breakfast buffet with prepared hot foods, breads, cereals, fruits, salads, and even made-to-order items such as eggs, roti canai, roti forgot-the-name (roti that stands up in a cone-shape and is drizzled with condensed milk!), char koay teow, and a daily soup noodle. - Delicious ginger ale-type drink in the lobby all afternoon - Afternoon tea from 3:30-5pm with traditional Nyonya snacks, candies, and noodles - Complimentary cookies, ice cream, and snacks from 5pm-midnight. Movie every night with popcorn starting at 8:30pm. They play Hollywood movies that are somewhat recently released, like The Mummy (2017 version), Pitch Perfect 3, and Suicide Squad. - Free wine from 6-7pm There's also two jacuzzis and one small gym at the hotel. A great experience, and I'm really glad we stayed here to recharge during our trip.

Yelp
This modern hotel has 3 floors and on a corner. You are immediately greeted by friendly staff from doorman/reception/house keeping. This hotel is very clean with nice room decors. Shower room seems spacious but for the ladies not much counter space so those that likes to lay out their toiletries/makeup will need to adjust. We are very impress with the cleanliness and courtesy of the staff. Rita the hotel manager is awesome and tend to guests every needs. Even gave us extra bottle of water because she sees our Father takes medicine and was traveling by bus elsewhere. She informed us of the events that were happening locally and things to see/eat walking distance. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel!!!
