The spacious guest suites are stylishly decorated and include air conditioning, satellite TV and a seating area. They all have an en suite bathroom and some suites have a private patio. Moroccan cuisine can be enjoyed in the restaurant and drinks are served in the bar. Massages, relaxing body treatments and babysitting services can be arranged upon request. Marrakech Museum and the Ben Youssef Madrasa are both 2 minutes’ walk away. The property is 5 km from Marrakech Train Station and 10 km from Marrakech – Menara Airport." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Le Farnatchi, Marrakech, Morocco - Explore & Book

"Since Marrakech has become a Mecca for high-fashion shoots and swanky celebrity parties, the number of stylish riads has rocketed. Award-winning British hotelier Jonathan Wix bucked the trend and spent two years converting three small riads into a holiday home for family and friends. Then he was converted and convinced that his creation should be shared. And so Riad Farnatchi was born in its original incarnation, but Jonathan has since overseen a gentle metamorphosis of the riad into Le Farnatchi, a boutique hotel in its own right. The original riads stood on one of the oldest parts of this exotic and classy city; some of the walls are more than 400 years old. But there’s nothing ancient about the sleek lighting and crisp decor in this chic retreat. It has the feel of a beautiful private home yet the facilities of a world-class hotel, including a beautiful spa next door. And, rest assured, mere mortals are just as welcome as models and movie stars. Highs Palatial and exquisitely decorated suites; all are pristine and immensely private The beautiful white-marbled Farnatchi Spa sits next door to the hotel building; overnight guests have direct access Le Trou au Mur restaurant has opened since we last visited, and we can't wait to try the delicious-sounding Moroccan meals and international dishes Outstanding service and thoughtful little extras (complimentary Moroccan robes and in-room snacks) Two trainquil courtyards, one with a 7m jetstream swimming pool Lows More expensive than most riads (but worth it, as it's much more of a boutique hotel, plus there's lots of free goodies) Families with boisterous kids might feel self-conscious amid the peaceful ambiance Can get booked up quickly" - Glenda Richards

Le Farnatchi (Marrakech, Morocco) 2 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There’s no shortage in Marrakech of riad hotels, walled-courtyard houses deep in the medina where guests hide out from the crowds and experience traditional Moroccan city living. Riad Farnatchi adds to Marrakech’s collection of upmarket riad boutiques, but with a twist — this is riad style made modern, a 21st-century re-imagining of the centuries-old standard." - Tablet Hotels

Le Farnatchi | Best place to stay in Marrakech

"One of the first riads to open in the medina, and still one of the best, the Farnatchi oozes pared-down elegance, paring classic Moroccan touches – zelig tiling and smooth tadelakt walls, with a contemporary, Manhattan-does-Marrakech vibe. The ten suites are spread over seven houses, all linked, in a quiet corner of the medina. The small number of bedrooms means the communal spaces – including the roof terrace, main patio with its shimmering, 7metre pool and the bhou (traditional outdoor seating area) never feel crowded. Most locals wouldn’t be seen dead in a hotel spa, but this chic retreat is the exception. Airy and light-filled relaxation lounges segue into areas with striking vintage photography that covers entire walls. It offers a bespoke mix of Moroccan, Ayurvedic and Chinese wellness that’s a 100% winning formula. It may be a cliché, but Farnatchi really does feel like an oasis among the freneticism of the medina. " - Mandy Sinclair

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Farnatchi. From the moment we arrived, Walid greeted us with genuine warmth and hospitality and gave us a tour of the stunning riad. Our room was beautifully designed, with high ceilings, a luxurious bathroom, and even a private courtyard. The food was exceptional, and every recommendation we were given was just as impressive. The communal spaces are equally gorgeous, truly picture perfect from every angle. The service was some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and was always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast can be served wherever and whenever you choose, we enjoyed ours on the rooftop, which felt incredibly special. The heated rooms were a huge plus during the cooler December nights, and I loved the large, fluffy towels. Although we didn’t use the spa this time, we had a peek inside and it looked wonderfully luxurious, definitely on the list for our next visit. We can’t wait to return!

Le Farnatchi is an oasis of calm and luxury. My husband and I traveled for 3 weeks around Morocco and stayed in 10 different small properties and it was our favorite by far. The people were all delightful, and Saida took especially good care of us, always warm and helpful. The common spaces are gorgeous and our suite (#8), which overlooked the serene courtyard, was spacious, elegantly decorated, overflowing with local character, and supremely comfortable. In the middle of the chaotic medina with all of the motorbikes, it was amazing how peaceful it was during the day and quiet overnight. We slept uncommonly well. ||Breakfasts were outstanding, including the most flavor-packed orange juice we've ever tasted, delicious homemade yoghurt, and freshly made breads, which we chose to be served on our balcony. You can also request eggs which will be cooked to your liking. I had a wonderful, relaxing treatment in their hammam thanks to Fatia. I especially enjoyed the calm music that she played. I've had other hammam experiences and this was the most enjoyable. We had 2 very good dinners at Le Trou au Mur, conveniently located just across the alley, though I'll review the restaurant separately. There are many choices in Marrakech but I doubt that you could find anyplace better than this.

We stayed at Le Farnatchi for our girls weekend in Marrakech. It was perfect. Our Suite (9) was spacious, spoiling, and very warm which was appreciated with the cold Marrakech nights/ mornings in December. I love Le Farnatchi for their style, it’s location - central yet quiet, the breakfast (delicious) that could be taken anytime/ anywhere in the riad, but most of all for the incredible staff. Caring, kind, and discreet. Thank you for looking after so well.

What an absolute haven of tranquility and luxury in the bustle of the medina! The property is top notch, the rooms are luxurious and well appointed. Airport pickup is included which is very handy. The breakfast is sumptuous and you can have it in your room, your terrace or in any of the public areas in the riad! Their restaurant is highly recommended for the local cuisine, it was a shame it was closed on the Tuesday evening when we wished to dine there for a second time!! Their spa is meant to be fabulous although we didnt use it. Going by the toiletries in the room and the hand-made soap I have no doubt that those reviews are well deserved! The best part of this establishment was the service. Nothing was too much trouble from recommending local tours to making dinner reservations. A special shout out to Saeeda who went out of her way to make our stay special! One of the best hotels that we have stayed anywhere in the world!!

Location excellent, very efficient, helpful & friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, stunning suite, delicious food at the in-house Le Trou au Mur restaurant, hammam at the in house spa a wonderful experience. We couldn’t ask for more. ||||However, our visit was tarnished by the disappearance of a much valued and expensive dress which was worn on our first evening at the in house restaurant. When we were packing on our last evening it was nowhere to be seen. We informed the staff who searched the Riad’s in house laundry etc. as we were convinced that that could be the only explanation. ||||The General Manager suggested we should involve the police. As we were celebrating our daughter in law’s 30th birthday at the in house restaurant on the day of our departure we did not want to dampen her celebrations in any way. We have not even told her about it. We cannot understand how the dress could just ‘disappear’. ||||We got in touch again on our return home but it has not been found. ||||After a really enjoyable four night stay, the experience with the dress left a us with a bitter taste. ||||Be vigilant with your belongings.

From start to finish our stay at this beautiful hotel was wonderful. It’s somehow almost an oxymoron in itself- utterly refined, luxurious and unerringly tasteful in every way, yet at the same time relaxing, charming & friendly , so you always feel at home. Without a doubt we will be back.

My daughter and I had our first ever Hammam at Le Farnatchi and were very impressed with the beautiful peaceful surroundings and treatments. Fatima was very friendly and made us feel totally at ease. She explained all the products as she applied and we loved the whole experience. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best places we have had the chance to stay at. The staff were truly exceptional. Take advantage of their fantastic breakfast (have it brought to your balcony) and hammams (can enjoy together as a couple). Our room was lovely (suite 3), and the location is super close to the medina.
