Le Garriane

Visited for a lunch. Happy with all the food we ordered. Unfortunately, we weren't able to try any good wine, as the only bottles open were two white and one red. There were no options. We had to drink what was available, not what we wanted. Reservation is recommended even for lunch. Service is mediocre..

We have eaten here twice in the last 6 weeks and it is a hidden gem. The food is outstanding, original and prepared with love and attention to flavouring, texture, variety and presentation. The wine list is impressive. Everything you could possibly want for a genuine, freshly prepared meal worthy of many stars!

Strange experience- we had 8pm reservations, we’re squeezed in between a refrigerator and the restroom door. This is not a fancy place, the focus is in the kitchen, not the dining room. The server/owner waited on everyone else (even those arriving after us) first. After about 45 minutes our first dish arrived (it is a set menu) and the 2 starter courses were so good my attitude changed. The mushroom starter was amazing.However, the mains and desserts were just average. So, the food was overall a win but the experience was not good. BTW, take a taxi, the parking near the restaurant is a struggle.

From the outside look of the place, you would not expect this. Actually you probably would not even enter the ugly side street by chance. Don't be fooled, the place does not look fancy but the food is really great. We were here for a really late lunch and the place was almost empty, but they still cooked for us (not to be expected, most restaurant kitchens in the area close after 14:00 until the evening). They have a small but fine menu and were also flexible to improvise a nice salad as a starter for me, since the other starters weren't quite my taste. Very friendly staff. Delicious food. I recommend to get a desert!

Bright, cosy restaurant offering exceptional, tasty dishes and great service (server speaks English, FYI). It can be a struggle to find great vegetarian food in France - not so at Le Garriane, where freshness and skillful cooking are evidenced by dishes bursting with flavor. It’s a short walk from the train station, so easy to visit if you’re traveling. Do your taste buds a favor and stop by when you’re in Perpignan - you might want to make a reservation as it is deservedly popular.

Fab value set lunch, we added an extra starter to taste between us which was absolutely delicious, great food, thoroughly enjoyed

Excellent restaurant, we enjoyed a top notch dinner, each dish designed and crafted by the chef Gary. We had the three course set menu for €40 comprising an exquisite gazpacho, followed by quail with fresh peas. The pud was amazing, a strawberry mousse encased in white chocolate topped with a basil sorbet (a first and delicious). Accompanying this was a local white wine - all highly recommended. It's a very cute restaurant with very attentive staff and amazing food. I would strongly recommend!

Superbly crafted, exciting cuisine, service, wine list, and ambiance. Lunch menu €24 but try the supplements on offer and you will not be disappointed. Felt like eating at the home of a star chef. Worth a special detour and a journey to Perpignan.
