The 14 Best 4-Star Hotels in Paris - AFAR

"A Roaring Twenties–inspired art-deco landmark on the corner of Boulevard Raspail and Rue du Bac that reopened after a head-to-toe 2024 renovation, featuring antique mirrors, embroidered fabrics, crystal chandeliers and a sky-frescoed original staircase. The all-day Annette restaurant showcases a brasserie menu overseen by Bruno Brangea (pâté en croûte, œufs mimosa, beef tartare), while the Officine Bac cocktail den offers botanically inspired drinks by Oscar Blackstone; amenities include a gym, a refresh room for red-eye arrivals, and suites with all-inclusive minibars and Eiffel Tower views. One suite functions as a rotating showroom of 20th- and 21st-century furniture and decorative arts available for purchase." - Mary Winston Nicklin

This hotel was perfect start to finish - and a great home base for 7 nights for our family. The hotel itself and the rooms are beautiful. The restaurant, breakfast and the staff all exceeded our expectations in every way. We loved the neighborhood, the amenities, housekeeping did a superb job every day making us feel like our room was fresh. I literally teared up at the thought of leaving at breakfast on our last day. If you are still researching hotels- your stop should end here. This hotel was wonderful!

Traveled with my family and some friends, including two small children and one elder who needed a wheelchair. We loved our stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and when we had an issue with a taxi driver who charged an inappropriate "supplemental" fee that was more than the fare itself, the staff at Le Grand Hotel took it very seriously and addressed it right away directly with the company so it wouldn't happen to anyone else in the future. We really appreciated the service. Thank you!

We had a great stay at this hotel. Although the room is on the small side and we were placed on the back of the hotel on first floor to which the room feels quite dark. But to compensate this the central location and convenience of getting to many places on foot all made up to it. Breakfast is superb with fresh bread, juice and well prepared food. Most of the staff are super friendly and professional except one that was a bit rough, considering this is a luxury hotel with its rate at €500 plus a night, we we surprised this particular staff weren’t well trained.

Very good location right in the middle of the left bank & next to a Metro 🚇 stop. Very lovely hotel which was just refurbished last year and with a very helpful & professional staff. Rooms a bit small yet typical in Paris. Nice views from the 6 th floor and seeing Mont Marte church in the distance. Breakfast was light yet adequate. We’d go back. Staff was very accommodating.

A beautiful hotel in the vibrant Saint Germain neighborhood. We only stayed here one night after traveling back to Paris from Normandy but I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in this area of Paris. The decor is beautiful and our room is comfortable. My only negative was the small size of the bathroom as it was the smallest of any of our stays in France.

Our stay in Paris was truly wonderful – we felt incredibly well looked after, both for the beauty of the hotel itself and its excellent location, but also for the warm, dog-friendly welcome extended to our two little dogs. We found soft dog beds and bowls waiting in the room, which was a lovely touch.||||The only small disappointment came at check-in: I had booked a Superior room expecting a larger space and a King-size bed, as well as minibar access (as indicated on the website), but the room we were initially given was smaller, with a smaller bed, and had no minibar. I later learned that minibar access had recently been limited to other room categories, but the website hadn’t been updated yet.||||However, the front desk staff handled everything with professionalism and kindness. The next day, they moved us to a larger room with a King-size bed and also offered us a complimentary welcome cocktail at the bar to make up for the confusion. I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture.||||Throughout our stay, the staff – from reception to housekeeping to the bar and restaurant – were attentive, friendly, and efficient. The cocktails at the bar were outstanding, and we had two delicious dinners at Restaurant Annette.||||If I may offer just a small suggestion: I personally would have appreciated a little breakfast buffet alongside the à la carte options, and perhaps a small welcome treat for our dogs – as we’ve seen in other dog-friendly hotels. But aside from that, everything was absolutely perfect.||||We will definitely return – and so will our pups!

This is an extraordinary boutique hotel which I will highly recommend to both my travel agent and my friends. Congratulations on assembling a fabulous team who take pride in their jobs. Just wonderful people working at the hotel. The room was comfortable and good sized. Hotel beautifully appointed. Great location! Breakfast every morning was delicious and our dinner at Annette surpassed any other dinner out that we had in Paris. I applaud the Chef! Thank you, Le Grand Hotel Cayre for making my visit to Paris such a lovely one! I will return!!!

It was my first visit to Paris, and this hotel made it truly special in every detail. The service was outstanding and impressively fast, with high responsiveness to every request. The staff were kind and professional, and the room was spotless, elegant, and exceeded my expectations. Thank you to the entire team for this wonderful experience — I will definitely be coming back.
