Le Gras Dur au (Le Central)

Cheese was mediocre, gravy was okay but too overpowering, not that much meats. Overall disappointing, better poutine options even inside le central.

Food was okay. But for 45 dollars after tip, I should have gone to Harvey's. 1 trio and a chicken burger shouldn't be this pricy. The breaded chicken for the chicken burger was so thin. It looked like it was bought from the frozen section of a grocery store. I do approve of their french fries. It's crispy and well fried. Their cheeseburger was nothing special. For the atmosphere, we had several house flies buzzing about.

Very disappointed. We came to Gras Dur after watching Stephan on the Big Burger Battle on StactTV and were excited to try the birria burger. Sadly, it didn’t live up to expectations. The burger came without the coleslaw, which is a key part of the dish and the cashier never informed us. We went to ask for the coleslaw they said they ran out of it. If we had known, we would have chosen something else. Without the slaw, the burger was far too greasy, with no acidity to balance the richness. It was heavy and overwhelming. After all the hype, this was a real letdown.

The fries tasted bad in my opinion. Gravy was quite flavourless. But the cheese curds were soooo good and good amount. We got the Bacon Mac and Cheese - bacon was great and the mac and cheese bites were fun but didn’t have much flavour either. Price was quite high for the amount of food

Food court atmosphere with quick service. Card only, efficient service, but not in the super friendly range but no complaints. Petite size is filling. We tried Bacon and Smoked meats poutine. Both were good, not the best though. Good place to stop with a group who want different things.

Few months in Montreal, gonna try most of the poutine here! I had the large regular poutine to go, surprise me the scale of fries and cheese is nearly 1:1, gravy is nice! It’s perfect! Can’t wait to return and try other food in this place!

Went to Le Central Manger in CARRÉ SAINT-LAURENT and (sadly) choose to eat dinner at Le Gras Dur and ordered two cheeseburgers, one onion rings, one (add on) poutine, and two cans of coke - total bill before tip: over $55.00 This is not a good review. Why? Bottom line. The food is sub par, and the pricing is based on a gourmet burger and fries etc. so what did y we get? Two cheese burgers, one onion ring, and upgraded one fri to (the smallest) poutine. Burger. Condiments were good and seemed fresh. Bun to meat ratio good. Burger meat, over cooked, was not a fresh made Pattie and the texture of it cooked was clearly apparent. The beef seasoning was non existent. Sorry, any restaurant could have served this low grade zero care burger. Poutine. Greave must be the worst in Quebec or maybe even the world. With a cooking background and years of hunting down poutine restaurants I was expecting something good at this place but sadly the gravy smelled bad, and tasted worse. This is the worst I’ve ever had to ingest and you can tell that this was not home made and the bought gravy should never be consumed. Oh, by the way, they barely put gravy on the poutine and then if you would like more as there is not much to begin with, they charge extra - laughable and a ripoff once again. The cheese curds again, par at best and did not melt in the slightest. All in all do not have poutine. I’m not saying anything about then fires as we didn’t get to eat them without sauce. But I can say that they were over cooked, you can smell dirty frier oil, and the portion of fries did not even touch the top of the mini portion. Again big rip off. Onion rings. These have to be the worst frozen onion rings I’ve ever been served. At a price of $9.00 for about 6 onion rings, they should at least taste as good as the home made ones and A&W - yes a low level fast food restaurant. Or what about being as good as Notre Dame du Boeuf, same pricing but again, thick cut, freshly made onion rings with a dip. These rings were hard, oily, can barely taste any onion nor see any onion. All i can say is this, avoid this place unless you like low quality food. Not to owners. You need not reply as it will either be an excuse or a lie. I do not wish to be reimbursed nor receive a make up meal. All I can suggest to you is as I am sure there are people who do t know better who enjoy your food, you whither keep your course or change your business strategy on how and what you do with your menu. Service was not really there, and when ordering not even asking how we want the burgers cooked or what we want on the cheeseburger. I never tell a restaurant this to see if they will as the client. And if they don’t and serve a bad burger then I complain. In this case they gave an all dressed burger. I would say go yourself and try, but this is so bad that I would not want you to waste your time and hard earned money. There are far too many good burger and fry joints in this city so look elsewhere. Oh, total bill was over $50.00 for froze. Onion rings, shitty poutine, and two small cheeseburgers.

Going to Central Market to eat and enjoy is always fun 😁...time flies quickly in this place. This time, I ordered a grande Tousqui poutine with a can of Pina colada. The poutine was filling, a good portion of meat in it, and delicious. I like the system of providing a buzzer to all customers to notify them about the order. The service was fast too, and it's usually a pickup at this place. I enjoyed my time and filled my stomach at Le Gras Dur Au.
