The Amazing: Lovely atmosphere and attentive service - the best in Sandy. No problem getting a seat. Food came out very quickly. The owners clearly care a great deal about the experience and it shows! The kids loved their sweet crepes.
The Okay: The savory crepe's offered were good, but could stand to have a fresher whole ingredients and cooked over a little higher heat to develop a little more caramelization on the crepe itself. Several utensils were not clean and needed to be sent back. Mixed drinks were okay, but lacked the flair we were expecting from the descriptions on the menu. Everything seemed a little overpriced, but I think that might be the case with inflation in 2021.
The disappointing: The French Onion soup was not French Onion soup. Real French onion soup is onions, garlic, butter, beef stock, white wine, brandy, and seasonings. It's topped with a couple of slices of fresh baguette and a generous portion of Gruyere cheese melted on the top under a salamander (an uber-powerful commercial broiler). What we were served tasted (and looked like) chicken broth with a tiny bit of boiled onions. It was topped with the SMALLEST croutons that looked like baguette (but were not) and had maybe a teaspoon of cheese barely melted. This is NOT French Onion soup, guys! Please don't pass it off as such. It's broth with onions. For the real deal, Google Preppy Kitchen French Onion Soup for a rundown on how to make the real thing.
