As locals, we ate here with friends, who were staying on the estate, on our recomendation and it was a dissapointing experience.
Whilst most of the meal was very good and well presented we did have several issues:
Service was slow (4 hours) and the staff were too intrusive
The main meat course of three (small) lamb cuts had one portion which was just fat & grisle. The waitress said "that is normal for that cut"
When my wife (diabetic) asked for cheese and sorbet instead of the two sweet desserts on the 5 course menu, there was a debate about whether this was permitted before eventually it was allowed.
As an aside, we found the signage around the estate, and in the hotel, very poor. When we mentioned this the following day, when collecting our friends, the response was "yes we know"
Overall, not a Michelin experience and we would not return
