If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, this tiny and hidden spot is where you want to go. The welcome is not particularly friendly nor cold. The service is decent, and you could call beforehand to pre-order your dishes (the regular ones know the trick). All the dishes we had were tasty and spicy (adjust your spice level -my tip is to order one below your usual one if you are really not a spice addict). The tofu was so smooth and silky, and the shrimp very garlicky! The downside is the amount of oil used in the dishes: one could find it gross. My take: Totally worth a visit!

We already went there twice! Eating there brings back memory from Hangzhou. The food tastes delicious and is served in great quantities. The price per person is totally fine (about 10€ /person for main only). Anyone should ask for their specialties. I personally recommend "le poulet à l'impérial", "la marmite d'aubergines", et "le poulet aux fungus noirs" (I think it's translated "chicken with black mushrooms"). The waiter is efficient and speaks fluently french. The place is kinda smol. You should grab your seat before 18:45 or after 20:00. We'll be there back soon. Un grand bravo au chef!

All the dishes we tried here were delicious, especially the eggplant and 清蒸鱼.

You should try the “水煮牛鍋” here. Most customers are Asians including Japanese. If you have a sensitive stomach, don’t eat too much. It’s amazing, you should try once!

If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go! I’ve been a regular customer for a few years now, and the quality is still the best!

Yelp
Want crappy Chinese food in Paris, drenched in oil and MSG? You've just found paradise with inexplicably long lines (which is deceiving, even more so because so many patrons are Chinese) out the door and a 45 minute wait or take out. Most dishes run in the 8 to 12 Euro range.

Yelp
Excellent service, friendly staff, and delicious food. We did takeout and it was tasty, authentic food. Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai, so something for everyone in your party.

Yelp
There is a Le Lac De L'Ouest Pan Asian Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese restaurant right in the Latin Quarter of Paris. I don't know if there is the same affiliation to another restaurant of the same name in Le Marais neighborhood. Lac De L'Ouest in Latin Quarter really feels like a cozy version of an Asian temple inside made out of nicely adorned chairs, tables, stone walls, and oriental feng shui objects well decorated in restaurant. Available food items is equally satisfying compared to ambiance. There is a ton of tasty flavor in Spicy Herbal Shrimp Coconut Curry Cilantro Scallion Tam Kha soup, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Beef Pad Woon Sen, and Singapore style curried rice noodles. People discover good news when they realize they are able to have high quality, authentic, cosmopolitan Asian cuisine in some areas of European countries, including Paris France. I love French, and Italian cuisine too, and find equal comfort in finding those cuisines in some areas of Asia. Le Lac De L'Ouest Pan Asian Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese restaurant in Latin Quarter is a very nice multicultural, diverse restaurant to check out in Paris France. Makes me love the Latin Quarter even more than I already feel in first impressions of neighborhood destination.
