Le Manoir des Impressionnistes

"Settle in at your table, in the bright dining room or on sunny days head for the terrace to enjoy the lovely view of the estuary. Savour the modern cuisine, centred on a short and appetising seasonal menu that gives top billing to Normandy's produce from land and sea." - Michelin Inspector

The hotel’s location is beautiful - up on a hill facing the sea. The manor itself is beautiful and our room was large and nicely furnished. Attention to detail is lacking. We had a room for 3 people but there were only 2 towels in the bathroom. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper, no extras in sight. The curtain in the bathroom looked like a towel. The toiletries were not great. Breakfast was not anything special.

This is by far the best hotel in honfleur. Better than the relais chateau up the road! We spent 2 days of our honeymoon there and the staff couldn’t do enough to make it special. Flowers in the room, champagne and the best room. Our little dog came along and she was allowed to roam off the lead including breakfast! The grounds are stunning. 15 mins walk to the town, 5 mins to the beach bar and very peaceful. Our room had the best view!! Thanks to all the staff for making our honeymoon so special.

Probably one of the best " hotel experience " I have ever had. And I do travel a lot! The Anglo - Norman mansion is beautiful, its beach view is very pleasant however you need to know that you will see the big cranes of Le Havre Harbor right in front of you. However after a while you do not see them anymore. The sunsets are striking!! The rooms are very comfortable and the beds luscious!|What made our experience so special was the people running the manoir. Everyone from Mathieu to Victor ( and the 2 young ladies ) and also William the Managing director seem to be totally focused ( and happy! ) with providing you with the best experience they possibly can manage. It is very rare today and needs to be celebrated. |In addition " LaTable des Impressionistes " , the restaurant of the hotel offers great service , delicious food and delectable wines. The decor and atmosphere are conducive to a very peaceful and pleasant experience. Only the best local products are offered and you can see how passionate William is about providing you with the best dining experience!|I strongly suggest anybody wanting to spend time near Honfleur to stay at Le Manoir des Impressionistes you will not be disappointed!|I certainly will be back

Nice rooms and friendly staff. Good location. Unfortunately, at €500 a night and a 5 star status, we were expecting a lot more. The photos and reviews suggest there is access to a pool, sauna and spa treatments but we were informed this changed last year such that access is now limited to a scenario where you book the spa villa. Breakfast (which is limited) is in a small room in the Manoir rather than an extensive buffet in the separate restaurant as some reviews suggest. Hotel amenities limited.

I have mixed fillings about this hotel. It’s a beautiful historic building, location and water view are great. The rooms however are outdated, bedsheets were very old, you can tell they’ve washed a million times. We stayed 2 nights and the breakfast first morning was great, everything super fresh, unfortunately the second morning we were served old croissants and had to wait for coffee forever. There’s also a restaurant which we went to on the first night. Food was ok, nothing great. However what we didn’t like that our server was adding portions to our table because she thought 1 wouldn’t be enough to share. We ordered a cheese plate from the menu, but got charged for two, one was more than enough for us. Couple people from the staff were extremely helpful and nice, the rest was just there, maybe due to language barrier.. Overall those things didn’t add up to a 5 star experience. This hotel is far from 5 star. As much as we liked the location we won’t be back.

Spectacular manor just outside of the busy city center. Close enough to easily walk to the main part of the city but far enough away to be quiet and serene. We felt like we were staying in an old world castle! The rooms are gorgeously decorated and quite spacious, as was the bathroom. Service was beyond compare from our greeting upon arrival to the tasty breakfast the next morning with the best croissants in France. A special shout out to Fred who was happy to lug our very heavy luggage upstairs and serve us apple cider as we waited for our rooms to be ready. Would love to return to this beautiful oasis some day!

We had lunch yesterday and it was an overall disappointment. Service was not at the level you could expect for such a classy adress. Waiter was new in his position and not train to even properly retain the order. Food was less than average. Osters were good. The duck breast was plain, cooked on low temperature but the sauce going with it was just not sufficient and tasteless. Vegetables were not watery. Only potatoes had an interesting texture. Cheese plate was a true disappointment. Only 1 local choice, all portions coming out of the fridge so were hard and tasted like plaster as a texture. We decided not to take dessert as we were not spending more for our disappointed meal. Overprice for the quality of the food and the poor service

What a beautiful manor for an overnight stay. The rooms were large and the beds ridiculously comfortable. Breakfast was included and had the option to be brought to the room which was a great treat. Croissants were probably the best I've ever had and plenty of options to chose from. We were given the option to eat the on site Restaraunt, however there were no vegatrin options here. However the staff here went out of their way to recommend some great restaurants in the lovely town of Honfleur. We ended up having a great meal out, courtesy of the staffs recommednation. All staff here were excellent and very welcoming, a special credit to the young lad who checked us in, he provided us with dinner options and advised us, if we so wished, to visit his mother's jewelry shop in the town of Honfleur. We did so, and ended up making a purchase of a beautiful necklace. By the far the best stay of our trip. Thank you for having us

Yelp
Charming manor house/ hotel ..... work in progress. This will be a 5 star one day, but for right now it's a place with excellent service, charming amenities, and spacious grounds. A young man took over this establishment from his father and has the correct vision but it's going to take some time before it is realized. It needs better upkeep. Cobwebs in rooms and around balcony need to be dealt with. Some of the furniture needs to be replaced. Sometimes " old" is charming, and sometimes "old" is past its function and needs to be thrown away. Lots of construction on site. This needs to be disclosed. When part of the charm is the grounds themselves, it's not cool to be in a construction zone Pool is actually a large jacuzzi. I liked the jacuzzi but this place needs the pool it advertised. ( Only 10 people can fit in jacuzzi at a time and you have a one hour time limit What is that about? ). Rooms are spacious. Bathrooms decent. Deep, relaxing tubs. A few rooms with balcony available. Full bar area. Food is ok. Kind of a hit or miss. ( Dessert was the best part of my meal tonight. Grilled vegetables were delicious. Protein was overcooked and we were given a butter knife to cut the steak. Lol. They meant well. ). Spa area is sub par. Really shouldn't be called a spa at this point. This place has heart and is on the right track. Looking forward to seeing it grow into a 5 star.
