My son and I traveled down for the weekend, they worked with us for an early check-in before the Pelicans game. The staff were very friendly and accommodating with the check-in and valet parking. We ate at the small bar that’s there on site, the food was really good and the service there was great also. They have a nice little “pantry” close to the check-in counter that was fairly well stocked with snacks and drinks. The only caution I would extend is concerning the minibar. Whenever I went through my bill I saw that I was charged for 2 items. I called the front desk and they addressed it right away. There is a fridge in the faux dresser for drinks that we brought in with us, it will keep them cool but not cold. Overall though it was a great experience and we’ll stay here again.

My husband and I are loyal Marriott customers. This was the most disappointing experience we have had at a Marriott hotel. Staff was either ill-informed or didn’t care to inform us properly about things like the included destination fees. WiFi was down the entire duration of our stay. Front desk staff were rude and unkind. Valet and bar staff were much nicer. We booked this hotel thinking we would get high-end service and amenities. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We have experienced much better service at lower level Marriott hotels like springhill and courtyard. This place wasn’t worth the price

Had a great stay at this hotel. Started off a bit rocky as I didn’t get the room I’d reserved, but staff was most helpful the following day for the remainder of our vacation week here. Rooms are a bit small but clean and well stocked. Standouts are Ms Joy at the front desk and Ms Tawanda at the restaurant. Ms Joy - you deserve recognition from your Marriott team! While I can adjust to almost any issue with the room or facilities, attentive customer service, for me, can overcome all problems. Happy to say that staff at Le Meridien excel in customer service. Thanks for a great experience!

The positive: location! This is a great location for exploring New Orleans conveniently located for canal street, the French quarter and caesars casino.||The less positive: ||Our check in experience was not great with the hotel having only one of our two bookings! This meant that our rooms were not together but more of that to come!||Our two teenage daughters were in a room on the 7th floor which resembled more of a building site than a hotel, with work clearly going on in adjoining rooms with the floor covered in sticky boards and doors with dust zippers! Their room was incredibly dusty at the end of our 4 night stay (speaks volumes about the housekeeping - more to come on that).||Our first room was on floor 12 which was EVEN more of a building site than floor 7! Our room number was obscured by the plastic sheeting cordoning off what work was taking place on that floor. The room smelt really funny and I couldn’t have spent any more time in there!||We went back to reception and were duly moved to a new room on floor 18. This room was much nicer but boy it was really noisy! It was like there was a helicopter flying right outside the window all the time - a very loud and persistent whirring but in all honesty I couldn’t be bothered to go back to reception to ask to move rooms again!||The level of housekeeping was quite frankly shambolic and resembled that of travel in 2021 in the very start of the post Covid travel era. Our rooms did not get serviced after our first nights stay which was not ideal as we’d left our towels on the floor in the hope that they would be refreshed. When we called reception to enquire as to why our rooms had not been made up they made it sound like we’d asked for something unreasonable- they cited being short staffed! Had reception staff managed our expectations at check in that there wouldn’t have been a daily room refresh then that would have been better but not ideal. The consequences of this were that we had no coffee, fresh water or fresh towels. The sheets were also ill fitting meaning that the beds very quickly became untidy and needed making every day. To our surprise the rooms were made up ahead of our final night but rather than having a set of towels the pile left in the room was a mish mash of flannels, hand towels and foot towels with no bath towels - another call to reception.||The safe was also a joke - so high in the wardrobe that it was impossible to see into it unless you are about 6 feet tall!||All in all a disappointing stay I wish with hindsight that I’d pushed harder to stay in the Hilton!||The final straw was a random credit card charge that was put on our credit card for over £400! There was no paperwork provided at the time of check out and no mention of this charge! It took a lengthy phone call to try to resolve this!||My advice would be to avoid this hotel!

After a disappointing experience at another hotel in the city, I booked two nights at Le Meridien New Orleans—and from the moment I arrived, I knew I’d made the right choice. We were warmly greeted by AJ, the bellman, and Jonathan, the valet. Their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care for guests immediately set the tone for the rest of our stay. Because we arrived before the 4 p.m. check-in, we decided to relax at the bar, where we met Vegas, the bartender. She was absolutely amazing—her cocktails were top-notch, and her personality sparkled. Vegas truly embodies what great customer service should be! While at the bar, we also met Joy—and her name says it all! She radiated positivity and made us feel completely at home. Every single staff member we encountered delivered luxury-level service that exceeded expectations and elevated our entire New Orleans getaway. From Karen, who helped me book the room, to AJ and Jonathan with their impeccable assistance, to Vegas and Joy who made us feel so welcomed and special—these five exceptional team members made our stay unforgettable. I absolutely loved my stay at Le Meridien and can’t wait to return. I’ll be recommending this hotel to all my friends and family visiting New Orleans—because when you want warmth, style, and genuine hospitality, Le Meridien is the place to stay!

The hotel is clean, modern and walking distance to French Quarter and riverwalk. The breakfast is super yummy and staffs are so friendly and very nice service. Special thanks to the front desk lady who has short blond hair, wearing square shade glasses. She was very helpful and introduced all the details the hotel offered with great patience. We had nice talk while checking out. Her warm welcome and hospitality made our trip to New Orlean more exceptional.🥰👍

We stayed at the Le Méridien Hotel using the AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts benefit, but the experience fell far below the standards we typically expect from AMEX properties. At check-in, none of the AMEX benefits were acknowledged—I had to ask about each one. The room also needed some TLC; it had a musty smell, and the shower didn’t drain properly.||We intentionally left the privacy sign off so the room would be cleaned while we were out for the day, but we returned to find it untouched. Overall, I’d recommend choosing another hotel in New Orleans that better meets the expectations of a true 4-star property.

AVOID at all costs. Inconsistent random charges and poor customer service. I stayed at Le Meridien in September for 10 days. I was overcharged twice, once over 1000 USD and again over 300. The first was a double charge for an already prepaid room. I was told this would be refunded but took 10 days after leaving. When this was refunded, the second fee was charged. I was told this was for complimentary water and for tours I was not informed of, so couldn't have gone on. Customer service were not helpful, just went round in circles repeating the same reason for the charges. Ended up going through the third party we booked with for refund. Others on the trip were NOT charged this or were refunded without issue, so it's obviously not a consistent or legitimate charge. The whole process took a month and the amount refunded was still wrong. The room was nice enough and very privat. High enough to overcome the city noises which was a plus. The saltwater pool was a nice touch. Didn't have breakfast or food due to the price. Aircon in the conference room was either too hot or too cold, but that's pretty common. Room service was unusual. The replacements were a little random, one day shampoo, another day the water, and sometimes not replacing the soap. The staff doing this were very pleasant though.
