"This stylish and intimate restaurant enjoys a pleasant location between Montgomery and Cinquantenaire Park. The market determines what's on the menu here. Chef Loïc Villers incorporates delicious produce into well-thought-out dishes that are as international as his diners. Think quail ballotines stuffed with a delicate farce containing pistachio, a parsnip cream, grapes and juices from the meat. This cuisine is all about pleasure and celebrates the genuine flavours of the ingredients." - Michelin Inspector

The price is on a higher end in Brussels but definitely worth it! Each dish is well designed and delicious. Their amuse-bouche is also very tasty and refreshing! The service is great and the experience is excellent. It’s a good place for celebrating anniversary too.

We rented the private dining room back in December which was just perfect, and the gentleman who helped set it up went above and beyond by preparing the goodie bags, which was incredibly helpful. The entire team was kind, friendly, and exceptionally supportive. I couldn’t recommend this place more! Also the food is delicious and the ambience was great!

Had an excellent meal here with good service as well. The chef definitely knows what they are doing. Everything was delicious - baby lobster tagliatelle, monkfish filet, and steak!

Update after 5 years: Still excellent food , they have a terrace now thanks to covid 🤦‍♂️ the 3 dish menu was delicious and the recommended wines per glace fabulous. Very good and friendly service but seriously as they have a ⭐️ ——————————————————— Cosy, friendly & delicious. price quality ratio is great. the service is quite fast for a starred restaurant... they may do an effort with their ceiling lights but this has nothing to do with the great food :-p

Michelin star restaurant. Our story was a drama with the group comprising of people from at least 10 different countries. Somehow somebody decided Japanese menu and the moment we entered and the host declared the menu including raw fish, except the Japanese guests, everybody's jaws dropped and few moments passed before Somebody asked if other option was available, till everybody else asked the same question. Japanese probably didn't travel several thousand travel kilometres to eat Sushi. The waiter seemed shocked at first then elegantly accepted our requests. Quickly arranged alternative menu for us. It took time to prepare but we were not in hurry. We enjoyed the food but the overall experience was a wonderful evening well spent.

We had a great evening.. Excellent service.. Super delicious food.. Great experience.. And we had Sabayon, even when it wasn't on the menu.. Sabayon was in my top 3 of best sabayon I have eaten in my life..

Three major issues with this restaurant. Pests, as the fruit flies invade the table, become part of the decor and land on your wine drink (and the restaurant is indoors...). Portions, simply too small to call it a meal, if like me, you are having the langoustine as a starter and the fish as the main. And, lastly, price: I don’t mind if a place is expensive, but I expect the amenities that come with it. In the case of this restaurant, no amuse bouche for us (but yes to a regular client who arrived after us) which is a first in a Michelin star restaurant. Oh, and you better strategize on how you plan to eat the bread because you only get one serving...

Although the food was quite nice and we had a pleasant meal, unfortunately the restaurant didnt meet the expectations one has when visiting a 1 star Michelin. Firstly, and most importantly, there were many fruit flies which would dive into our glasses, food etc. Very unpleasant. Also quite surprising, having visited many Michelin restaurants over the years, is that it is the first time we do not get served any amuse bouches, although we opted for the a la carte menu and not the business lunch. We got serve one piece of bread, delicious, but do not expect refills. All in all, it seems rather pricey for the service you receive.

Yelp
For a Michelin star restaurant, this place is very cozy and comfortable. It's not too pretentious or fancy -- and you don't have to get a tasting menu (the appetizers, entrees, and desserts are easily ordered separately). The service was very friendly, although a tiny bit slow. Although the latter may be because there was a big table full of diplomats right next to us that got there right before us. But if you're not in a hurry, relax and enjoy your dinner here. You can't go wrong with anything you get here. I tried 4 different appetizers and 4 different main dishes, and they were all fantastic: great mixes of flavors/textures, delicious ingredients, creative presentation, etc. You can definitely tell it's a Michelin star restaurant. It takes great food and elevates it just a step above the regular. I won't go too much into specific dishes, because their menu is constantly changing. If anything, I just recommend trying different things when you're with a group. Even if it doesn't sound like your favorite thing, I guarantee they make it in a way you'll like. There are also great (and affordable) wine options here. We loved the pinot gris (grauburgunder) from Alsace, and it was only a bit over 30 euros.

Yelp
The atmosphere of this gastronomic restaurant is perfectly unpretentious despite it's solid recommendations around the board and the Michelin star. The staff are enjoyable and jovial and more than accommodating in answering every question that we had. On top of that the honest opinions about the drinks and dishes really help when you're struggling to decide on what to get. Definitely come here with a small group of 4-6 and share in the experience and the food, that's what I think would be a perfect number of people to get a solid selection of various dishes to try out. It's cozy as others have mentioned, but what sets them apart is the perfect execution at a still reasonable price.

Yelp
I had an absolutely perfect meal here. Appetizers, mains, and desserts were all excellent, and my friend and I tried several different items. I won't go into detail, since the menu changes daily, but they used wonderful ingredients, and everything was perfectly cooked and had wonderfully balanced flavors. Service was great, and the restaurant was adorable. I also love that they do online reservations. This is a great place for a special occasion.

Yelp
Very good restaurant with tasty dishes and kind staff. You can really feel the romantic ambiance and enjoy the subtle music.

Yelp
Unpretentious atmosphere, great service and quality food. "Le Monde est petit" grings you on a culinary discovery! I was really impressed by the starters and the main course but not that much by the desert...

Yelp
Probably one of the best restaurant in Brussels, it started as great as it is now a few years ago, ideally located for those commuting to Brussels or those looking for a cosy and exquisite lunch break... The team is always caring and making sure you feel as comfy as you would feel at home. Of course the food and wine are just perfect. One exceptional address for a great meal in Brussels

Yelp
This place is typically one of the great little secrets that Brussels has a couple of. The setting near the Tervuren Avenue gives up the "exclusive" side of the place, yes the crowd is sort of posh, but nothing that would make anyone feel uncomfortable ;-) It is exclusive simply because once you take a seat you are naturally drawn to order a glass of champagne rather than a beer, the place feels comfortable and refined, the decoration is tasteful and more importantly the staff and the owners are very welcoming and pleasant! Now for the food, what's with the food at "le monde est petit"? Well it is revisited classics in an original way without going crazy, but more importantly everything tastes fantastic. I was extremely lucky to be at a big table with 8 colleagues.... meaning I almost tasted half of the menu... and nothing was out of place! It was really a treat, the meats as well as the fish. And even when something was no longer available it actually felt good, because it is always a proof that everything is fresh. And for a sweet tooth like myself I was happy to dig in to a really nice desert, a fabulous pana cotta style desert... hmmmmmmm good! Your looking for a romantic restaurant or for small group in the Montgomery area.... think no further.

Yelp
Sometimes you wonder what Michelin saw in a place. Maybe they're well connected. The food is ok, just below star quality. The service is way below. Obsessively speaking French only and neglecting guests who don't is totally unacceptable. Arrogance typical of wanna be places. No 'mise en bouche' even when ordering 'à la carte'. Really.

Yelp
Great place to visit with small, but frequently changing menu as it should be in the restaurants of that scale. Do not this opportunity in Brussels.
