Our wedding reception was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The venue was stunning and the views were breathtaking, the perfect backdrop for such a special day. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran seamlessly. The food was delicious and we received so many compliments from our guests. Every detail was handled with care and we genuinely felt like our day was as important to the team as it was to us. We could not have asked for a more beautiful and unforgettable celebration. We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a flawless wedding experience.

We had an incredible experience at this restaurant. We were celebrating a special occasion and our server, Raymond, was wonderful. He was so attentive, kind and patient. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating to our requests. He made the dining experience such a treat! The food was also amazing. My favorite dish was the burrata salad. We will certainly be back!

There is no better place in Pittsburgh to get a top notch meal along with service and incredible atmosphere. This is a Pittsburgh institution. I praise the owners and staff for keeping it original and breathtaking. From the decorative ambiance, to the design and layout of the facility it truly stands alone in Mt Washington’s restaurants. Food was superb, service was excellent. I understand many celebrities have enjoyed this place over the years, now I too can feel exactly like those celebrities when they visit. Thank you Dunlap Family. Thank you Kathy, Tony, Marco and especially Bill for being outstanding at what he does as our server.

This place has a breathtaking view of the city. I went twice - the second time was in the evening and there was live music. The music made the atmosphere phenomenal. Service is good, but slow. The food was also decent. Overall- pretty expensive but a good experience to have. The lamb was ok (I asked for well done but it was still a little raw tasting - I think it may just not have been seasoned enough? Overall… don’t recommend it). Baked Brie was also pleasant. The bread they give at the start was really good! Cake was also nice.

Was just there for a wedding and the filets for everyone were horribly dry. Usually it's good but if I would have spent money on that steak I would have asked for a refund! And was the same for everyone.

Stopped here for dinner on a Thursday night. Had a reservation for 2 at 8:30. Checked in at 8:15 and were sat immediately. I will say this is probably one of the most upscale restaurants we have been to in the PGH area. Located on Mt. Washington overlooking the point and downtown, we had a table right next to the big windows. We started with sharing a French onion soup and the burrata, along with the assorted table breads which came out warm. The soup was good, a deep and hearty flavor to the broth and the cheese and bread topper is always a nice addition to this dish. The burrata was good as well, but it seemed somewhat executed poorly - just haphazard tomato slices with no real balsamic. Reminded me of something someone could make in their kitchen to mimic what they got at the restaurant. For my entree, I went with the filet which comes with potato mash and beans and carrots. Steak was done properly medium; the vegetables were good and crisp; but the potatoes I'm still waiting on the rest of. It was like they were out and scraped the bottom of the pan for whatever was left. They tasted good A just not enough of them. I also added a side of lobster risotto which was just a mess. It wasn't creamy, and was just a mess of various stuff that was hard to negotiate. For dessert, the carrot cake was very good. Our waiter - young guy with a mustache and a bow tie was good. But he went kind of absent halfway thru the meal. Kind of odd bc we were only one of 4 tables in the whole place late Thursday. Overall good, just some hiccups.

Le Mont never disappoints, but this last visit was truly unforgettable. Our server, Donald (affectionately known as Deedles), went above and beyond to make the evening special. He is hands-down the best server I've ever had--attentive, personable, and with a true gift for hospitality. Years ago, Le Mont removed their famous tableside bananas foster from the menu. It had always been one of my favorite desserts, so on a whim, I brought my own bananas just to see what would happen. To my surprise, Deedles didn't just say yes--he masterfully prepared the dessert tableside like it had never left the menu. The presentation, the flames, the aroma--it was perfection, and it made the evening extra memorable. The food, as always, was excellent, but it was Deedles' service and that personal touch that turned a great dinner into an extraordinary one. If you're dining at Le Mont, do yourself a favor and ask for Donald. Five stars, without question.

Went with family for a graduation dinner and they did such a great job. Inside is extremely unique with gold trim and fancy vibe. The view of the city was fantastic. Ordered a Caesar salad, which was prepared as any salad. Ordered a fillet mignon and was delicious. I do not eat green beans, but the carrots and mashed potatoes were good as well. They served a small chocolate cake for the graduate which tasted good as well. Service was good, she was very attentive and brought extra rolls when asked. Would come back for a nice occasion again!

Fine dining. High-end Americano, seafood and steak done right. Of course the view is perfect. The decor probably hasn't changed in over 50 years or longer. That's why I love it there. You can actually spend an evening and see what Pittsburgh used to look like back in the 60s and 70s. Top-notch elegance. When I come back to Pittsburgh, especially if I'm with a group gotta come to LeMont. Service is of the highest quality. The people are great.

Dining at LeMont feels less like a night out and more like stepping into a perfectly preserved time capsule from 1972. Situated atop Mt. Washington with a commanding view of Pittsburgh's skyline, the venue exudes vintage grandeur -- and not always in a good way. From the moment you walk in under the glow of opulent chandeliers, you're hit with a swirl of nostalgia, gold accents, and the faint hum of diners yelling over a soundtrack that's more nightclub than fine dining. The Scene: Glamorous Decay Meets Golden Girls Energy LeMont is the place where birthdays, anniversaries, and septuagenarian seductions collide. The bar is buzzing with women who could've taught charm school in the '80s -- and are still working the room like it's happy hour at the Copa. Everyone's dressed to impress, just not necessarily for this decade. As for the noise level, it's off the charts. The music is so loud you'll find yourself screaming over Sinatra remixes while battling the eerie feedback of a dozen hearing aids shorting out in unison. The place is alive, just not in a way that says "refined." The Food: A Sysco-Powered Soirée Let's not kid ourselves -- this isn't farm-to-table. This is Sysco-to-freezer-to-table, served under the guise of classic Continental cuisine. The shrimp cocktail is textbook 1980s hotel banquet. Steaks are perfectly uniform, and sauces feel like they were engineered for mass production. You're not here for a culinary revelation. You're here to relive someone's third marriage reception. Service: Earnest, Polite, and in on the Joke The staff does their best and remains cheerful amidst the chaos. They know exactly where they work -- a place where patrons toast to 40 years of marriage while yelling "turn it down!" to no one in particular. They're polite, responsive, and willing to snap a photo of your party under the chandeliers, whether it's your 80th birthday or just Wednesday night at LeMont. Amenities: Sports Bar Touch in a Supper Club Shell One can't help but mention the jarring presence of a television above the bar playing a baseball game -- because nothing says fine dining like watching the Pirates get swept while sipping a glass of mid-tier Chardonnay beneath a crystal chandelier. Final Thoughts: A Pittsburgh Spectacle LeMont isn't just a restaurant -- it's an institution. A throwback to when men wore jackets to dinner and women carried clutch purses the size of VCRs. It's kitsch wrapped in velvet, served with a breadbasket that hasn't changed in 40 years. If you're celebrating a milestone and want a heavy dose of Pittsburgh glam and glittered nostalgia, LeMont delivers -- unironically. But if you're chasing cutting-edge cuisine or ambiance under 90 decibels, look elsewhere.

The main attraction to this restaurant is the view of Pittsburgh and the three rivers. We were there for an awards ceremony but the food was mediocre at best. I like a steak bloody rare. My steak was well-done. I wrestled this shoe leather for a few bites and passed it on to someone who likes a well-done steak. The vegetables and the salad were tasty. The cheesecake dessert was very common like a grocery store brand. The maitre d was rushing us around like cattle to get seated and eventually started serving salads to empty tables. He was not a happy man. They have a tasty Bloody Mary. The view was incredible and the night was enjoyed. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful. The food was mediocre. Parking is valet. They have a coat check and they take reservations. There is a dance floor. The women's restroom is old style with a sitting room. I loved the ambiance.

It's been a long time since I've been here, and transparently, only made a reservation as we had a gift card. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that this place has evolved at all through the years, but I found it stuffy and disappointing. To be clear, the staff was wonderful and they had a musician playing a keyboard behind us who was great - so zero complaints about the service. To drink, my wife and I had both some horrible wine and a poorly executed cocktail. The bread was fine, nothing was warm or overly fresh. The French onion soup packed a bunch of salt and the pumpernickel shined through, which was the best part of the meal. I went with the rack of lamb that was gamey, underseasoned and well done on the ends and medium rare in the middle pieces, which wasnt what I ordered. My wife's scallops were simple but the better option, as was he side of asparagus we ordered. For dessert, my wife has creme brulee that has a soggy top and I had a chocolate mousse cake that was incredibly disappointing. By and large, the meal was a disappointment. You can come here for good service and a beautiful view, and if the atmosphere does something for you, that's great. To be, it's stuffy curtains and dusty chandeliers. Also, don't pay the $9 for valet, there are plenty of spots within a few blocks most nights.

Had arrangements with the manager Marco for our daughter and son in laws anniversary and he totally dropped the ball. I along with my associates, friends and family will not give them business again. What a poor establishment All they want is people's money. There are many other establishments in Pittsburgh with better food and service.

We live in the neighborhood and you will often find us belly-up to the bar. We love Kathy and Jarod (the bartenders). They are friendly, helpful, and funny. We will often get dinner from the bar menu which is different from the main menu. The food choices are limited, but always very good. The drinks are terrific and they have a great wine selection. The main dining area is really something to see. The view is spectacular. Most patrons are there for special occasions. Well worth it. The servers are terrific. There is often live music which is really something special. This place is truly an institution that is cherished by many. Come say hi!

Overall: come for the view but don't stay for the food. The service was super accommodating and nice but I wouldn't say the food tasted great by any means. Food: it's been a while since I've had a filet mignon but I don't remember them being as grainy as that one was. I understand the waiter messed up and gave me my friends medium cooked one as opposed to my medium rare one (or they messed up the cooking) but it really didn't feel like a filet but rather a top sirloin. The salad to start was not bad but the whole grape tomatoes was very lazy to just "throw them in". The cheesecake left more to be desired as it's as plain as it looks. Ambience/Decor/Service: super posh upscale restaurant that I would argue is too expensive for the quality of food. Yes it's beautiful inside and sits with one of the best views of Pittsburgh but at least make the food bearable. Service was incredibly rapid and the people there are on top of things. My only quip is that for a fancy restaurant the attention to detail isn't there as many a times I've waiters fingers were touching the food when serving to us.

I'd highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice dinner in Pittsburgh! The view was amazing and the service was fabulous! I also enjoyed the food and quality of what I received! They start you off with rolls that are crunchy and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. I also loved that we had our own butter plate with butter, the little things right? I started with a caesar salad that they made tableside, which was fun to watch but also made it feel super fresh! It was delicious and perfectly seasoned! I got the tomahawk pork chop which was juicy and crispy on the outer edge, the way I like pork chops! The sides weren't my favorite but it was okay since the chop was huge I need with crème brûlée, which had a nice vanilla flavor, smooth and sugary!

Food and service were excellent with a beautiful view. I actually loved the interior design of the place, I felt like I was stepping back in time.

I decided to come here for my birthday dinner! We did reservations on open table and were seated immediately. It was worth going here during restaurant week! We got to experience three courses for $45.25. The steak had 25% fatty parts to it so I would be aware of that. The place is very spacious and open with a great view. They do charge a $2 per slice cake fee if you bring your own to celebrate.

Let me start off by saying, I loved the ambiance. Everything was beautifully decorated and the view of the city was beautiful. The food was horrendous. We ordered the table side Beef Tenderloin for two. The steak wasn't cooked well. Some parts were rare, some were well done, some were medium. As soon as I saw the waiter butcher the cut with a dull kitchen knife, I knew to immediately lower my expectations. The steak wasn't even hot . The vegetables were drenched in E&J Liquor and had the nastiest aftertaste. The mashed potatoes were tasteless, The bill was over $250 per couple. What a WASTE of money. The MOST DISRESPECTFUL part was the $24 scallop. They literally put down a plate with TWO scallops. No garnish, no presentation, nothing. Just 2 scallops on a plate. DISRESPECTFUL as hell!!!! PLEASE NEVER GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Or just go to the bar.

Nice atmosphere, wonderful view, great service at a premium price. Unfortunately, the food was barely average. Ordered a strip steak ($69) that did not measure up to a steak from Texas Roadhouse. If you're looking for premium steakhouse I recommend The Capital Grille, Del Frisco's, Hyde Park, or Gaucho Parrilla Argentina.

We were there for July 4th. Even though they were busy, the service was incredible. Very diverse menu. The filet was cooked perfectly. Excellent smashed potatoes. Outstanding firecracker shrimp. The shrimp were huge! They were very attentive to our granddaughters. Very creative cocktail menu. The onion bread served the beginning was incredible! I had a second bowl of it! Desserts were fresh and delightful. Highly recommend!

Every city worth seeing should be seen from some high perch, and Le Mont serves that purpose quite well, offering spectacular views of Pittsburgh's Three Rivers and the downtown skyline from the cliff-edge of Mount Washington. I visited Le Mont for a wedding reception, so my experience extends only to the restaurant's catered service. Were I to return, I'd explore Le Mont's a la carte dining, which, judging by the photos posted on Yelp and elsewhere, appears to be an array of steakhouse and Continental classics.

I had high hopes for the Le Mont. I am somewhat disappointed. The highlight of our dinner was Chad who was a fantastic server. The decor was old school classy which was interesting, but the view was kinda obscured by the glare from the chandeliers. Our food was a mixed result. Lowlights: crab hoelzel, mixed vegetables served with entrees. Mid tier: crab cakes, mashed potatoes. Highlights: rack of lamb, truffle fries. I was really hoping the crab cakes would be good, but I was just let down. The lamb was delicious though! If you live in Pittsburgh, I definitely recommend trying it out once, just because it is so iconically Pittsburgh.

We had a Beautiful Funeral Luncheon done there. It was absolutely perfect... from the salads, to the main courses they offered. The service was amazing... very attentive to all guests. I would recommend them .

Had a wonderful experience here. The food was great. Our servers were great. The view is unmatched. I'm puzzled by some of the low marks. I'll be back for sure. One of the best spots i've been to in awhile

We went to Easter brunch. Most of the buffet was lit with red heat lamps. You could not see what the food actually looked like. The salads were on a platter sitting out, the Caesar was pre dressed and soggy. The shellfish display was sitting out not on ice. They were out of crab legs. There was no filet as advertised. The carving station was a mess, looked very unsanitary. Not to be outdone by the bananas foster station, there was food, rags and used bottles everywhere. The girl working was talking/yelling/joking around with the carving station people the whole time. The conversation made the people there uncomfortable. The wait staff was great. But this was at best a $20 a person buffet. Our table of 10 was treated to this and our host spent well over $1,200. It was a shame.

It was ok but no wow . I will never order this is to basic no flavor the size of the plate is small.

Usually I do not write reviews but I am incredibly upset. I went to the Le Mont today for my Anniversary. I usually bring my friends or family every couple of weeks here. I would gives 5 stars for the food and service... However this was ridiculous. As usual The service was great, The food was great! However, The young lady singing this evening was absolutely HORRIBLE, She did not know how to use a microphone correctly. She was practically screaming instead of singing. Don't even get me started on her stage presence, I seen numerous guests uncomfortable with the tone and volume of this singer. There was a point my husband wanted to get the food to go and leave. Usually we go every year for our Anniversary. This year's Anniversary was ruined. We are incredibly upset. I do not know who is in charge of the live performance shows but they need to get their act together or they will be losing us as a costumer. Get new singers who know how to sing LE MONT!

Delicious food, surprisingly generous portions, stunning views of the 3 rivers & Pittsburgh cityscape, and EXCELLENT service all made for a beautifully memorable first visit while celebrating our anniversary! Looking forward to coming back again soon. The restaurant was originally recommended to us by a friend, and now we will continue sharing OUR recommendation with others

Great ambiance and amazing view, but the food and service were very meh. The appetizers and wine were good, the actual dinner was a complete mess. The vegetables were so hard we couldn't even put our fork in them. Risotto was flavorless, sea bass was undercooked and weird. The server was also unfriendly and uncomfortable.

Excellent service with Chad. Everything was so delicious and had a wonderful view of Pittsburgh. Cannot wait to go back.

I dined at Le Mont in the 70s (never mind how old I am) and it feels like it hasn't changed. The decor is still very much what was "fancy" in the 70s--lots of ornate moldings and hanging crystal thingies. I even noticed they still used the squat wine glasses that were popular then. The somewhat nostalgic 70s decor came with, I noticed, a 70s lack of accessibility--steps to get in and stairs to the men's room. If they had workarounds to these issues, they weren't obvious. But enough of the decor. The view was fabulous as always because this is why we come here anyway. The service was friendly and efficient--no complaints whatsoever. I thought the menu was best described as a compilation of popular pretentious menu items through the decades. The food was competent--not bad, not really great, either.

You pay for the view. Our friends had a wedding here. Decent price on an off-night. Less than 60 people about $9000 for 5-10pm slot on a Friday. Food arrived cold and unsalted (perhaps intentionally?). I found a six inch length of breaded fishing line in my calamari. Otherwise, the staff came off as snooty at first and a little more friendly as the night went on. I think you get a better meal if you are actually eating there, which I've never done. It was hard to find a pen and paper. Lots of stairs but also elevators. View is spectacular - see photo of "hunter's harvest moon" ...

First time at Le Mont. We went for our anniversary and honestly it was a great experience. The staff was very welcoming the food was great and we had a great view. The staff just went above and beyond to make the night special.

If you happen to be in Pittsburgh and want to dine with the best view in town, make a reservation at Le Mont restaurant. Located on Mount Washington, the panoramic views of the bridges, rivers, and downtown are well worth the price tag. I was recently in Pittsburgh for a weekend and one of the people I met there had booked a reservation at Le Mont. We arrived just in time for dinner on Saturday evening and were promptly seated at our table overlooking downtown Pittsburgh. If you can request a server for your visit, Tom is your man. He took care of us during our meal and was a seasoned pro who expertly made us feel welcomed. Restaurant week was wrapping up when we were there, and we all went for some of the prix fixe meals that were offered. I was between the Surf and Turf and the Lobster Ravioli, and decided on the surf and turf with mushroom bisque to start. Other people I dined with got the ravioli, and I imagine there was no way to go wrong regardless of which meal you choose. The mushroom bisque to start was out of this world! I only wish I could have gotten a huge bowl of it instead of just a cup. A short time later our main course was served, and I was not disappointed with my medium-cooked steak and plump shrimp skewers. The Maltaise sauce to accompany (like a hollandaise with a hint of orange) provided a perfect topping to the steak. We were less impressed with the desserts. I got the tropical cake and others got the tiramisu. I found the cake to be a little dry, and I wish I could have gotten some of the other desserts I saw around the restaurant. One person thought their tiramisu was among the best they had ever eaten, another said it was among their worst - so go figure! Overall, I highly recommend you add Le Mont to your list of restaurants to try in Pittsburgh!

I am very disappointed with our visit to LeMont for Mother's Day dinner. Out of all the "high end" restaurants I have been to, LeMont is the worst one so far. The guy who gave water, bread, and water was a bit standoff-ish. Not a word or peep from him. Not even a hello. Dinner rolls - terrible. Cold and hard. It is like they got a bag from Costco and served it with cold slices of butter. French Onion - the server spilled a bunch as he placed it down. Instead of placing it next to our dinner plate, he tries to place it ON our plate which had the dinner roll on it! I also found a hair in my soup :(. Very generous portion for 10 bucks though. Colossal crab cocktail - underwhelming. I was expecting like pre-cracked meaty claws, but it was just pieces of jumbo lump crab meat. If I had known I wouldn't gave gotten this since we literally have a can from Giant Eagle sitting in our refrigerator. They're cocktail sauce is OK, in the sweeter side versus spice horseradish... which is that I prefer. They have this oil dip which we really did not like. It was sour (not spoiled sour). Clams casino - I prefer crispy bacon. The bacon bits in there had the consistency of raw bacon that has been cooked just enough where we wouldn't get trichinosos. Chilean seabass - not a fan. Very flavorless. It was topped with some kind of cream sauce that tasted neither of lemon nor parmesan. My moms cat loved it though. Lamb chops were good, but it didn't blow my socks off. It was probably the best part of the meal. Entrees came with carrots, green beans, and potatoes - all of which were nicely cooked and had a beautiful color. Server was very nice, but this is not enough for me to come back. As a Pittsburgh native, LeMont had always been this grand fancy place. I last came here about 10 years ago before I moved to Philadelphia for my friend's sister's wedding and I think it was good... but I was also less picky back then due to ignorance/little exposure to the outside Pittsburgh bubble. What I do know for sure is that I will not be having my wedding reception here, and will not be returning on my own volition. The portions are huge so you do get a lot of bang for your buck here. The flavors are just not there. I shouldn't have to add lemon and parm-reg myself at home. Service was nice enough, but not stellar by the entire staff.

What an exemplary dining experience! Sumptuous food, impeccable service, gorgeous decor, and the most impressive view of beautiful Pittsburgh imaginable. Our fairy tale evening atop Mount Washington overlooking the city was perfectly celebrated at Le Mont. The Maître d, Tony F., directed us to the bar for cocktails as our table was prepared. We drank in the elegant ambiance as we watched the lounge act perform musical classics, then he led us to our table with breathtaking views of the night skyline. Our appetizer was the Baked Brie with pear chutney. Very nice. Laurie had a wonderful dinner of Rack of Lamb and I had the Seafood Aglia. Fantastic entrees! For dessert we split a very good crème brûlée. Bryan took wonderful care of us, and all the staff worked like a well oiled machine keeping glasses full and clearing dishes. This was one of the best all around dining experiences we've ever had. If you're in Pittsburgh you owe it to yourself to dine at Le Mont. You won't be disappointed.

We looked forward to eating here only to have the worst food ever. I honestly think this place is trying to pass Select cuts of meat as Prime. The steaks are tough and tasteless. The chicken is just as bad. You would think that 6 people spending close to $1000 would get better food than Eaten Park. Save your money and go to another steak place, like capital grill or Ditkas or even Burger King would have been better. I don't think it will be long before this country place closes for good.

We celebrated a friends 50th Birthday & loved it! Beth was our server & she was fabulous. We ordered the steak Diane & coffee rubbed steak. So delicious, great service, & nice ambiance!

We made our reservation months ago. We were very excited to share the beautiful restaurant with family from out of town. We arrived ten minutes before our reservation and were promptly seated at the bar while they "made our table ready." 20 minutes later we still had not even received a greeting at the bar as we watched others who had been parked there after us get seated. We left. So disappointing. If the service was any indication, I'm certain the food would have been lackluster as well. What a shame to waste such wonderful real estate on such mediocrity. Three stars seems well deserved.

I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a must for all newcomers to Pittsburgh. The food was excellent, and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I recommend the La Mont for special events (birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, etc.) for people living in Pittsburgh. You will not be disappointed.

If you go to Le Mont, you're only going there for the view. That's all it has going for it. The interior and view are truly gorgeous, but the gap between the interior design quality and food quality is massive. My food was void of any seasoning. The steaks we ordered also had uneven cooks. Being able to cook and steak and season food is pretty much the bare minimum for operating a kitchen, so I was dumbfounded. The best way to describe it is amateur.

Great views but you can get this same view from the Incline. My advice, ride the incline up and right back down.

Mt.Washington is the perfect place for a dinner date. The view alone is breathtaking. Add some food to make it even better! I've read mixed reviews of this restaurant and was always weary about spending a ton of money on a bad meal. Luckily, they offered a deal for restaurant week. $40.21 per. I ordered the surf and turf and my husband got the chicken parmesan. Both not normally on the regular menu. Each came with bread, soup, entrée, and dessert. We started with a mix drink, warm bread, and asparagus soup. I'm not a fan of asparagus but it tasted more like a mix of potato and pea, in a good way. Our meals came out fast and looked great. My steak was cooked to order, medium rare. It was a little too thick. The vegetables were a little firm and not much flavor. I tried a piece of the chicken but was nothing special. We got the dessert to go but was tastey. Overall, it's kind of a mixed bag. The view and service is excellent but the food is just ok

As an event space, Le Mont is beautiful and such an iconic viewpoint known to locals. I believe there are two separate ballrooms that can be rented. I attended a wedding that was maybe 130 people and it didn't feel too cramped. Service was nice and timely. The food itself was just meh. I talked to multiple diners who ordered the filet and every one seemed to receive their filet at a different temperature cooking; tasty for some and not so much for others. The sides-potatoes and vegetables-were bland and undercooked. The quality of food definitely is not the star attraction here for an event. The space has to be, though, the top venue in the city.

We went for my grandfather's milestone birthday celebration and to say the food was disappointing is putting it mildly. Not sure how this place continues to charge what they charge for the food, while keeping a straight face. The appetizers were sad and limp. The lamb chop lollipops tasted like they had boiled them and covered them with gravy as saving grace. Who boils lamb chops? We even sent them back saying please grill them, and they brought them out again, even sadder and with more sauce. The bruschetta looked like it was prepped a a couple days ago, tomato's colorless, and sad. The "ahi tuna" app, also sad and colorless, rubbery, was definitely purchased from Costco. Nothing was fresh, flavorful, or looked enticing. The entrees were just as disappointing. Filet Mignon was served w diced carrots and green beans, that were definitely from a frozen veggie pack. The filet had absolutely no flavor or seasoning. Just a slab of meat. The salmon was so pale, it was almost white, covered in a glaze to disguise this mystery item and give it some taste. Salmon should be vibrant and have flavor. Not sure what this was. What was even more strange and comical, is that they started pouring coffee as guests were still eating their mystery meats and frozen veggies. Wow, definitely lesson learned. Stay away from this place, unless you're coming for a drink at the bar and the view. The food here is embarrassing to Pittsburgh's thriving food scene.

Decided to check them out for Pittsburgh Restaurant week. Left disappointed with what I've gotten. I'm surprised how bland their food was. The Tiramisu was semi frozen on the inside too. Apart from the food, I have to say the ambiance and view were spectacular. Service wise, it was good too. Other than that.. unfortunately I wouldn't comeback any time soon.

I kept looking around waiting for someone to tap me on the shoulder asking me to go to the kitchen to help with washing the dishes. The hallway looks like an art gallery with a Richard Moore painting where couples enjoy the Waltz. The view in this place lives up to everything people say about it. the rainy day and the fog moving in and out only added to the orra I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the staff and atmosphere. I am just a boy who grew up in patched pants, The tables were set in formal dining the glasses filled with ice and fresh water with all the sharp edges of the knives directed to the plates this dates back to when the dinner guests had real knives and it was considered, a front to point the sharp at the person seated next to you. So, the young waiters and waitresses worked as a team to bring out the salads and freshly baked rolls to the guests. I had salmon with green beans a few carrots and mashed potatoes. it was long after that Tom Z in a formal black tuxedo was at my table to make sure the meal and the service were everything a person would expect in such a fine eatery. The bathroom clean and was spotless. I took one last look at the painting on the wall as a left. Just for a moment, it seemed like the painting had come alive I could hear the music of Johann Strauss II known as the composer often called "The Waltz King". I will be back again! Tony Z! Thanks again for allowing me the privilege to dine at the Lemont.

Cafeteria food at best. Most of the decent items were smothered in sauce and nothing tasted extremely fresh. The coffee rubbed New York strip was the best item at the table, but even that was smothered with sauce -- Not how you want your steak. Ambiance is dated, views still solid, but there are better places on Mt Washington.

My husband and I came for restaurant week and it seemed we paid for the view mostly. The food was average - my husband's steak was well done when he asked for it medium rare so that was a huge bummer, though our server made it right. The sweet potato bisque was not creamy like a bisque, but still good. The filets came with three small baby potatoes and green beans/carrots. The vegetables were over cooked and the potatoes were under. All in all, this was an underwhelming meal. Our service was excellent and of course the view is great. I hope to try the regular menu sometime, but my husband isn't sure.

Le Mont is a wonderful restaurant with great views. If you are looking for a traditional high end restaurant it is the place to go. The service is top notch (attentive and helpful). The food was great with a good selection (group had everything from carnivores to vegetarians). Finally the view is one of the best from atop Mount Washington. Just expect to pay a few dollars more between parking and the prices than similar restaurants.

The Le Mont never disappoints. We've been here numerous times over the past year and are always pleased with the food and service, as well as the ambiance and beautiful city views from the table. The staff always makes you feel special as soon as you walk in, and the experience remains top notch throughout the entire dinner. If you're a martini fan, they also have one of the best dirty martinis that I have ever had. There is truly nothing better than sitting at a table by the windows, overlooking downtown Pittsburgh, while enjoying magnificent food and drinks with friends.
