Staff was very attentive and friendly, even made us smile. Most spoke English really well. The vibe was nice, we sat next to some loud high school/college kids, they were excited because they ordered alcohol and they didnt check IDs and they were 17, maybe its the age rule is different here idk. It would have been nice to ask them to quiet down a little though.
The food: the duck with potatoes was really good, it tasted like the dark meat of turkey and buttery potatoes. Pretty fatty.
The bread was decent, not as good as the bakeries in the street but better than other restaurants.
The steak frites, was undercooked but I dont think they understood "medium well", i asked for them to cook it a little more cause it was rare and they said "yes, its french to have it bloody, we are cook it more for you". They were very kind about it and the steak was good tasting after, it was a pretty fatty cut it would say i would eat about half of the pictured meat, the rest was fat. Fries were good, I salted them. Salad was not my fav I dont like Dijon mustard unfortunately.
The olives tasted canned and not good.
Overall, the other places we ate were better quality, this was decent but not worth the money.
The redeeming factor was the history behind the windmill that is on the restaurant, we googled it but I think they have a mat on the table in french telling about it.
Lunch menu seems like a good deal.
