"This old mill is steeped in charm, illustrated by the terrace directly overlooking the Canal du Midi. The food is simple and modern, with a speciality of caramelised calf sweetbreads with sesame and stewed endives. A real pleasure to be sampled with one of the carefully selected local vintages." - Michelin Inspector

Great food with dishes harmoniously arranged. The service is very attentive and warm. We went to this restaurant on a dark and rainy night, so, we could not take advantage of the terrace. We ordered teas and were pleasantly surprised by the complementary home made cookies and “gelé de fruits”. We loved it!

Top restaurant and excellent service. The food and the atmosphere were great. French cuisine from 21st century. We tried most of the main dishes and all of them were super tasty.

It is always a pleasure for lunch. I tried the evening, and this was quiet, in the week day. I had a table inside as it was windy on the terrace. The food is always good.

I loved it. Travelling from Australia, sometimes finding the right restaurant can be difficult. Our host at La Maison de Trapel (a great b&b) recommended Le Moulin de Trèbes and noted, rightly, that a reservation would be needed. Service was excellent, from initial booking with my terrible French through to welcoming and looking after us. Just the right level of attentiveness and letting you be. Food was outstanding. Three of us dined. Entrées: salmon gravalax x2 + foie gras Plats: bœuf + canard + poussion du jour (sea bass) All dishes were great. Gravalax great - beetroot with it a highlight. The boeuf was slight smoked which was delightful (potatoes with the Beef were probably the only thing that could have been better). My sea bass was outstanding- the lobster bisque with it set I’d off beautifully. Started off with a lovely local crémant and then a local Shiraz-like varietal I hadn’t had before - unless you a super wine person trust the owner, she knows the local wines and has a list of about 50 (and don’t forget you can cork and take it with you if you don’t finish it so please do dive into a local bottle!) Dessert was the spéculos millefeuille and chocolat fondant. Both were lovely. The mains certainly stood out. This is a great restaurant and I would definitely dine here again.

I had to give a rating to be able to post but I didn’t actually get to eat there because it was closed, despite its website saying it was open. Very frustrating! Several other people had also turned up for lunch after checking the website and were similarly disappointed. Shame, because it’s a lovely setting by the canal and the menu looked good

Lovely restaurant beside canal at Trebes. Only took photos of the starters but mains were just as good. Had two dogs with us who sat quietly under or by the table. Great ambience, friendly service. Good time had by all.
