Le Nove Scodelle

"Now available everywhere in Italy, ethnic cuisine is gradually becoming more specialised, as is the case in this restaurant serving specialities from the province of Szechuan in south-west China. Exciting and original cuisine full of spicy flavours." - Michelin Inspector

Le 9 Scodelle is an authentic Chinese restaurant located in Piazzale Loreto, offering bold flavors and well-prepared dishes. The menu is diverse, with generous portions and fair prices. Each dish comes with a spiciness indicator (1 to 3 chili peppers), but be warned: even dishes marked with just 1 chili can be quite spicy. A better calibration of the spice levels would be helpful for guests. The place tends to get busy, so it’s a good idea to book in advance through their website. Note that they do not accept American Express or meal vouchers (Ticket Restaurant). Overall, a great spot for those looking to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine in Milan—just be cautious with the heat!

authentic Sichuan cuisine. loved how you could taste and feel the handmade dough for the noodles and dumplings, the filling of those was impeccable. Spicy flavours but still rich of diversity and balance.

Have been here four times in the last four years, and every time I was impressed and satisfied. Great flavours and metropolitan atmosphere. Recommended. Spoiler alert: dishes go from spicy to extremely spicy

We were here for dinner. We tried the dumplings, the chicken, Chinese bread and the shrimp. First of all, pay attention to the spicies. Ask to waiters if you have any allergies or choices. We noticed that some spicies were so dominant in the plates, especially hot, chili taste. We love Far East cuisine, I tried many Chinese places in Milan, I heard a lot about this place and my expectations were really high. However, we weren’t impressed about the taste, there was something missing. I can feel that the ingredients were fresh, they have high quality, there is no doubt about it. The atmosphere is cool, the waiters are really kind. Nevertheless I expected really tasty food but it was not my taste. I was not satisfied.

As suggested by Michelin guide. We were two people, and we ordered 7 dishes including rice. Since we don’t eat very spicy so we avoided to order that kind. Some dishes are really tasty, but the Ravioli is too thick, as in Asia/China you should not make this thick 🤷‍♀️ Then I was surprised to see the rice they use is basamati 🥲 no no no no no big no for a Chinese restaurant ! This is why I give three stars only. If they could put the correct rice I will give four stars. Service is good

Interesting!it is my first time go to a Chinese restaurant full of Italians whereas I ate SOOO good like home! 🌶🌶spicy food, but also not spicy ones, limited dishes but they are really delicate and well-prepared! When we arrived at 20:40 on Tuesday, it needed reservations so we choose to eat outside The staff are nice and fast response, the surrounding is very Asian austenitic. Usually I never choose a Chinese restaurant only with Local staff and local people sitting inside but this I chose definitely correct! The food could be one of the best and traditional Sichuan food in Milan Easy to arrive, near M1 Loreto Thank you for the service!

Loved it! Really enjoyed the chicken dish and my friend had the coniglio (rabbit) - a spicier dish. Highly recommend the prawn dumplings and the caramel panna cotta. Overall great service, really appreciated the friendly and honest recommendations and had enjoyed trying Sichuan cuisine prepared this way. We finished the meal with Rose grappa - also very nice!
