"Chef Pierrot Ayer is the darling of the residents of Fribourg, whom he dazzles with his talent and flair in this elegant, designer venue. Downstairs in a striking contemporary setting, he crafts delicate, high-flying dishes, whose expressive generosity reflects his personality, particularly in his inspired reinterpretations of Gallic classics. At lunchtime, there is a more accessible 3- or 4-course menu and, in the evenings, there is also a vegetarian menu. Splendid cheese trolley. For a “simpler” experience, head upstairs to the bistro-cum-grocery store, le Petit Pérolles, and dig into fresh regional produce in a more casual vibe." - Michelin Inspector

A truly amazing experience! We went there for my wife's birthday and the food was exquisite, the service top notch and they knew exactly what wine to offer with what dish. It's a very unique experience and a perfect pick for special occasions! Make sure you have the evening freed up as we were there for over 3 hours and make sure you don't drive if you choose to go wine pairing as the pours are generous and it will get you tipsy! I still dream of the cheese cart and the waiter knew every single cheese and gave great advice! I had never seen anything like it before! Make sure you go past the kitchen and take a peak at the magic that happens there... The decor feels a little cold and grey but works in the setting. I will definitely return on a special occasion!

Being a Michelin star-virgin, I didn't know what to expect but whatever those unknown expectations were, Le Pérolles met them all. Exquisite cuisine combined with impeccable, charismatic service. It’s all in the details. I’m sure I’ll go back some day. The only thing I likes less was the interior... too much cold, grey white... the opposite of Swiss chalet style warmth. Nevertheless, if you have something to celebrate or just want to experience haute cuisine... Le Pérolles is highly recommended.

I had the pleasure being there for a business lunch. We enjoyed an amazing get together and four course menu in a very nice, modern atmosphere. The taste was amazing and the service really outstanding. We stayed a couple of minutes after we finished the lunch. We were offered some extra Pralinees and another round of coffee. a very strong recommendation!

A good high end restaurant with a predefined 4 course menu. My favorite part...the amazing selection and variety of cheese, you will see on the pictures 😉

Food was low quality. A university campus offers better food. Service was good though.

One of the best restaurants in Fribourg. We were actually at the "petit perolles" , the menu is limited but everything is exceptional. The dessert was fantastic! It is a bit more expensive than the standard restaurant . Count 70-80 francs per person for the menu and a soft drink. (Starter-main course-dessert).

This is definitely an establishment to cherish. The below-street-level setting with modern glazed white and grey tiles and open seating give a modern ambience to a menu that is both traditional revenant. We opted for the short and standard versions of 'the menu" both of which were, quite frankly, sensational. The foie gras and champignon entrees introduced hare and venison courses that were both delicate and fully flavoured. We also opted for the accompanying wines which were well chosen. The service was exceptional both in accommodating our poor French and in its presence. The meal was expensive (this is Switzerland), but still rates for me as very good value for money.
