We found ourselves at this less-than-cute establishment after my friend misunderstood which café we were to meet at. Absolute HORRIBLE service.
I walked in smiling, knowing what I wanted, and went straight to the counter to order. A short, dark haired counter girl greeted me with a disgusted expression and said nothing (I should have left then). After staring me down, I asked her where to go to order. She pointed 2ft from where we were both standing. No one else was in line or at the counter but us. I told her my order but she didn't hear me, so she kept asking louder and louder with an attitude as ugly as her face. Another worker with finger tattoos was at the counter, I gave him my cash and firmly stated to my friend that we were leaving- loud enough for the workers to hear. Instead of asking and addressing the issue, he sarcastically retorts "I'm sorry to hear that", as the dark haired girl handed me a straw saying "have a nice day" with the same disgusting tone.
It's giving racist insecurities at its highest capacity. Cold decor, hideous energy, topped with expensive less-than-good chai tea.
Long story short, Cascadia Cafe (a block away) is the cafe to support. The owner is fantastic, service is always 5 star quality, food and drinks are great at a cheaper price, and the warm welcoming vibes matches the decor. Plus better sunlight.
