We attended the Petit Chateau for Sunday Lunch today. Our first time eating here. We entered the bar, beautifully furnished, we were the only people eating in the bar & I thought gosh I hope this isn't a sign. The staff were very welcoming and we were shown to the table. We had asked for a quiet intimate table, which we weren't given..never mind. We ordered drinks and 2 pink sirloin of roast beef. The food arrived, it was presented well. The plates were cold ( a real pet hate of mine) The beef was a little chewy, the roast potatoes were like bullets quite honestly. The rest delicious, the yorkshire pud (homemade) was good, the greens medley, red cabbage, glazed carrot (one!) and buttery mash, were all very nice with a very tasty gravy.|Personally speaking, alot of establishments forget, that eating out is an experience from start to finish..the minute you walk through the door, the welcome, the food. For some people eating out is not an every day occurrence, nowadays it's a luxury. Chefs please come out and speak to your customers, ask for feedback, have you enjoyed the food?..it is all part of our experience with you. Would 2 chefs eat here again? we probably would and hopefully our constructive criticism would be taken on board. Thank you.
