Le Petit Château

Room was exactly as expected, warm (despite minus temps), nice decor and bed very comfortable. Reception was friendly and welcoming. We stayed for 1 night and were fortunate there was no wedding on that night as even other guests returning to their rooms was extremely noisy (after 11pm) so sound proofing seems minimal. We loved that breakfast was both a mix of continental buffet and order hot food from the menu, however the portion side of the vegan breakfast was very small (1 of each item) so that could be improved. None of this would stop us staying again or recommending to friends! Note: EV charger working a 2 minute drive up the road very convenient

We attended a family wedding held at Le Petit Chateau. 5/5 for the wedding. the place is beautiful, the ceremony was great, it rang smoothy and professionally. The food was good. A great day. We had a meal the evening before the wedding and that was great too. The staff were good, friendly and professional.|However, i can only give 3/5 for our room, which was not cheap for the standard of the room. The toilet seat was obviously not meant for the toilet as it didn't fit, the toilet roll holder didn't like holding a toilet roll and the carpet was dirty. For the price of the room and our experience of other hotels we were disappointed.

We had our wedding at Le Petit Chateau on the 2nd October 2025, it was forecast rain but the wedding gods were kind and shone sunlight down on our special day and the photos came out perfectly. The day truly couldn’t have gone better. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the perfect setting for our day, and everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. A huge shout-out to Peter, the master of ceremonies. He was incredible. He kept the whole day flowing effortlessly, made sure we were always looked after, and was right there whenever we needed anything… even holding the groom’s beer during the photos! We’re so grateful for how seamlessly everything came together. Highly recommend this venue for anyone wanting a stress-free, magical wedding day.

Our 1st time at this hotel. We booked a double room for our Wedding Anniversary. We were made to feel special as soon as we arrived by Tia. We were surprised to learn that we had been given a free bedroom upgrade. The hotel is stunning. Both Quirky and Elegant. Ideal for an intimate wedding. Our room had a Queen bed, Tin bath, and lots of French touches. It included complimentary robes, slippers, toilettries and another surprise ..... chocolate and bubbly from the staff. Lovely touches. Food in the restaurant was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had a memorable stay. Thank you to all the stafff for making our Anniversary even more special x We hope to visit again with our daughter to show her this amazing wedding venue.

Went for lunch. Young ladies, staff were pleasant and welcoming. My son had an excellent stacked burger and I had Steak and Ale pie, mash & veg, the pie was full of Steak and tasty. We both enjoyed our meals. Good coffees also.

Great staycation, wonderful staff so lovely and welcoming! Our bed was so comfortable and had a great nights sleep, it was lovely and clean . Despite the cold weather, our room was lovely and warm. Bath was nice and deep. I’d highly recommend.

I’m not sure how long you can use the description chabby chic for LPC. It’s just chabby and needs an overhaul. I am still in shock at how much my room cost for what it was. Dark, dingy and badly decorated rooms. Curtain hooks missing so curtains didn’t close properly and things like paint and varnish slapped and dripped everywhere. The venue itself needs a good lick of paint and just needs a good clean. The mirrors are filthy. We had to ask for a chair to be changed during the ceremony because one of the guests felt like it was going to fall apart… crazy. Then there’s the staff…jeeez! Sorry but apart from the girl with the multicoloured hair and piercings, they were all hopeless. A hello and smile goes a long way especially when checking in. I had a bar meal one night… I asked for a gluten free burger. I got a vegan burger in a wheat bun. When I asked for confirmation if it was gluten free, she apologised and said “I thought you said vegan.” Fair enough… but in the end I got a vegan burger in a gluten free bun. Vegan burgers have gluten in. I’d already paid! The next day the breakfast was so slow and yet was hardly anyone in. Worst stay ever. Sorry but I have no idea why people rave about this place.

Lovely hotel attended for my youngest's wedding.|stayed in room 2 which was lovely. Would have benefitted from a couple of hooks in the bathroom. Glorious bath.|Grounds are beautiful although due to the weather we couldn't make much use of them.
