Oregon Restaurants Call for Protections Ahead of November Shutdown | Eater Portland

"Identified as one of Gabriel Rucker’s restaurants, Le Pigeon is cited among the notable eateries that signed the open letter demanding pragmatic mitigation and financial relief for restaurants before the scheduled shutdown, highlighting that many businesses have no cash reserves after months of limited capacity and are facing severe financial strain without legislative assistance." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Google
Absolutely lovely little restaurant in Strasbourg. We were looking for something small and intimate and ideally locally owned and we found it here. The building is historic and so quaint. The food was excellent and the service was too. I had the 1/4 poulet with spaetzle and he had the Baekeoffe - both are Alsatian specialties and were cooked to perfection. We also had Escargots and AppleKuchen - both fantastic.

Lovely French cafe (family owned since 1964) serving excellent authentic Alsatian food! We had the Baeckeoffe (baker’s oven) which consists of potatoes, mutton, beef, pork, onions, and seasoning marinated in a white wine for three days, and then cooked in a dough-sealed pot for three hours. It was amazing, and the presentation was neat! We also had the roast chicken with homemade Spaetzle noodles and creamy Alsatian sauce. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the homemade spiced apple cake they had on display. As I mentioned, this place is family owned and operated, and they very much care about what they do. Lovely people and a lovely place. Go here!

Authentic and tasty. Fast service and very helpful. Had paupiette de boeuf, like beef olive filled with bacon, and also pork shank. Both with potatoes, cabbage and also salad. Came in at €55 for three people, meals are about €13-17. Would definitely return and be more adventurous on the menu.

We had 3 different dishes. 2 of them were really nice but one had a massive fly directly in the middle of our meat. That itself can happen, it's disgusting, but it can happen. Sadly the women (mother and daughter) who seemed to own the restaurant, ignored the situation and suddenly pretended they couldn't understand us. They didn't want to acknowledge the fly. We would have paid anyways but the rude behavior was not right. Plus drinks only come in cans.... So not a place I would recommend.

Server was very nice. We order the classic choucroute which was very hefty and the farm chicken with white wine sauce that was delicious. Great spot to eat local food

Didn't even get to eat here. Went with two adults and a child. I was planning to order a starter for myself (the adult) and two entrees, one for the 5yr old child and one for the other adult. I was told rudely I cannot do that must order an entree, I said that was what I wanted and was asked to leave..... RUDEST customer service I've experienced in Europe.... Oh by the way menu mentions nothing about having to order an entree.

Horrible service! The food made me sick, the lady didn’t told me to be careful when touching my plate and I burned my finger, she wanted us to give her the plates at the end Correction you never said «Can you please hand me your plate» your facial and body gesture did in an angry way, while normally a waitress is supposed to clean all by herself, we are not here to help clean, we are here to eat and pay you for that! Not wasting my money in bad food again! Btw read the way she responds to bad comments... wooow how classy

Yelp
While strolling the streets of Strasbourg, my friend and I decided we needed to find a place for some lunch. After looking at some nearby options, we were enticed by the local Alsacienne cuisine and charming history of this place, which dates to 1530. With a location not far from the cathedral, it's easy to imagine the echoes of the past in this place with its high old ceiling, sloping staircase to get to the upstairs restrooms, and the cozy vestibule. We were quickly seated and a server took our drink orders (Coke Light, which had a special Star Wars can at this time), before returning for our food orders. When in France, you should definitely start with the escargots, and make sure there's plenty of baguette for sopping up the extra herb butter. The escargot here were good, although they seemed to be a little less seasoned than ones I've had elsewhere. The buttery baguette at the end was satisfying as always, though. I got Coq au Riesling with a side of spaetzle for my entree (they were out of the duck, which was something my friend and I had both been eyeing -- maybe another time), and it was very good. It was cooked well, seasoned nicely, and the cream sauce was perfect for dipping my spaetzle in. He wasn't as keen on his entree and was a little disappointed. It took a while to get our check and pay, but we were soon on our way. While not my favorite spot for local cuisine, it's an inviting atmosphere and worth a visit if you have time to linger and want to stay close to the cathedral area of Strasbourg.
