"Le Plein moved to a remodelled heritage building in 2021. The room now spreads across two floors, complete with vaulted ceiling and a courtyard. Bare concrete and exposed brick walls work nicely with the wood-rich interior. The à la carte menu has been replaced by a 4- to 5-course tasting menu that celebrates Taiwanese produce and culinary culture with ingenious, artfully plated creations. Cold-brewed tea pairings are also worth checking out." - Michelin Inspector

Good food and great service. The restaurant is tucked away at a residential area, and offers intimate dining experience with small seating. Love the preparation and the clever use of locally sourced ingredients for the dishes. The Chef recreated his interpretation of local street food while preserving their essence (such as the stuffed chicken wing, corns of tri-flavours). Wine pairing was a bit of hits and misses; but this is personal preference.

Lovely little surprise. The restaurant vibe and the presentation all looks like a European restaurant, but the flavours always surprises - innovative Asian flavours. Makes it onto my LOVE IT list!

Went for birthday celebration, though there wasn't any surprises from the staff, the food quality is good and they were also very polite. Quite a different experience as this is the first time we had a Chinese omakase with tea pairing. Worth a try if you are in Taichung. Just note that they only accept taiwanese credit card.

It’s a casual but finer dining restaurant that serves “Taiwanese” cuisine, most ingredients are sourced locally, but implemented with various techniques that you don’t normally find in the Taiwanese kitchens. Chef creates dishes that are authentic and familiar to the locals’ tastes, but also not too foreign or strange for visiting guests from other parts of the world. They have quite an interesting wine list, or if you prefer to bring your own, they only charge 50nt/glass per person.

Very nice little restaurant. different from usual dinners you might get in Taiwan but delicious meals nicely presented. only real negatives were the amount of time it took the dishes to arrive after ordering and the lack of drink options. not a single drink on the menu.
