Le Plëss

We chose Le Plëss to celebrate our Christmas Eve dinner in Luxembourg. Since we had pre-booked and pre-paid for the special holiday set menu, the arrival and seating process was seamless and stress-free, allowing us to immediately settle into the festive atmosphere. The service was the highlight of the evening. The staff were genuinely attentive and kind. Although the set menu technically included a limit of two glasses of wine per person, the servers were gracious enough to top us up without hesitation, making us feel very well taken care of. However, the wine itself—likely because it was part of a package—felt a bit underwhelming. It lacked the depth or character one might hope for on a special occasion like Christmas Eve. As for the meal, we navigated through the "Menu de Noël," from the veal salad to the duck breast (and sea bass). The execution was generally good, and the dishes were presented well. That said, the flavors were somewhat "safe." While pleasant, the food didn't quite reach that level of culinary excitement or distinctiveness that creates a lasting memory. It was a decent meal, but considering the venue and the occasion, it felt just a little ordinary. Pros: Excellent, generous service and a cozy, upscale atmosphere. Cons: The included wine selection was average, and the food, while good, lacked a distinct "wow" factor.

We loved this beautiful restaurant in Luxembourg City and dined there on Christmas night, which made the experience especially festive. The reasonably priced prix-fixe menu was a great option. As a vegetarian with an onion allergy, I truly appreciated how accommodating the staff were about providing options. The service was excellent—attentive without being intrusive. We never had an empty wine or water glass! Our table was right by the window, offering a lovely view of the park across the street, complete with a Christmas market and twinkling lights.

I expected more from it, especially for a Valentine’s Day special menu. While everything sounded excellent on paper, the dishes lacked aesthetics and felt surprisingly generic rather than romantic or thoughtfully elevated for the occasion.

We went there during the restodays. First we were separated from the rest of the restaurant which kind of way was “funny” for us. As we got feeling like we do not fit with rest of the crowd. The chairs were metallic hard bar chairs which are definitely not for the dinner so I asked them to be changed which they kindly did. However we got feeling that they think if you come there during the resto days you are people who can’t afford a normal dine out. I truly hope that all restaurants will get a concept that it is not the case. We are particularly a group who goes a lot to the restaurants and we want to taste your food, to experience your service and to see the interior if it’s worth to come back or not. However in the end we were satisfied to be separated as we had more space and privacy. Service was friendly though when we asked about the wines they were not able to explain to us the differences. Food was good. Veal was tender. Fish was tasty. Entrée was unusually big portion and filling. Tasty as well. The restaurant is connected to the bar, hotel, Michelin star restaurant Christallier, they have a roof top bar and summer time front of the restaurant few tables. So we come back to see the bars as well.

Meaty and quite traditional, though that may have been because of the National day menu. Loved the wine veal sausages and silky smooth mashed potatoes. Service was excellent most of the time but sometimes not; for instance the entrée arrived before the wine. Smart surroundings. We liked eating in the shaded courtyard at the back.

Very shitty and bad service. If I can give less than one star it would be for this restaurant. Disrespectful staff bad and very slow service, very small portion of food and very expensive. We were a table of 5 people we arrived at 8 around 8,30 we got them finally to order our drinks and food ( which was only tow options to choose from ) , they were not even looking for us when we tried to ask where is our food , we had our food at 9,30 a very small piece of fish that we eat in a minute, they closed the kitchen and the waiter passed by to say u will have your dessert, we wanted more water or coffee he didn't even stop to listen 15 minute later he came with dishes put them on the table in hurry and left . While I noticed that they were serving other tables better some people arrived at 9 and they were eating before us . After all of that we paid over 300 eur . Will never go there again.

A wonderful place right in the center of Luxembourg! The atmosphere is lovely, the food is great. The service was excellent, attentive, super friendly. Special thanks to Kateryna, she was incredibly sweet and truly made our evening special. Definitely coming back again

Excellent dinner at Pless. Very professional and welcoming team. Well prepared and tasty food. Happy to be back again.
