"Prepare for a party at this polished spot in the Golden Square Mile where a live DJ will play diners into 2023. Two seatings are available — 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. — both with a prix-fixe menu spotlighting some of their sophisticated French fare ranging from $100-$150 per person." - Erinn Blicher

"At Le Pois Penché, expect to load up on fresh oysters, an utterly decadent French onion soup, and shrimp cocktail with cognac sauce — and that’s only for starters. The Parisian brasserie is open on Christmas Day if festive and oh-so-French is what you’re after." - Eater Staff

"The bistro on De Maisonneuve near Concordia is offering two takeout brunch options: one with chicken ballotine stuffed with foie gras and topped with a Porto sauce ($70 for two people or $140 for four) and one with roast beef strip loin ($199 for four people only) — the latter comes with a gift certificate for a free lunch for two once dining rooms reopen. Both come with house-smoked salmon, dill cream and brioche; asparagus vinaigrette with pine nuts and goat cheese; eggs mimosa; fingerling potatoes with garlic confit; and chocolate mousse. Some reheating at home required, but no major work. Order before May 6 at 6 p.m. for pickup on May 8 or 9."

"Owned by Imad Nabwani, Le Pois Penché is a downtown, Parisian-style French restaurant that I regard highly—described as “about the best” for its food, ambiance, service and décor—and that aims to create a vibrant, incomparable customer experience." - Tim Forster
