"This Lyon institution, run by Christophe Marguin, draws its inspiration from fine classic cuisine, which it serves in a modernised form: macaroni stuffed with poultry liver and truffle, poultry jus and Etrez cream; veal sweetbreads meunière, glazed carrots etc. "Le Président" refers to Édouard Herriot, then mayor of Lyon, who used to come and have coffee here." - Michelin Inspector

As an Asian foodie who loves Chinese food and lives in Belleville for years, I confidently say that this is the best Chinese restaurant in Belleville! We were here for a bday dinner with 25 ppl and weren’t sure if the food would be great bc of the ratings but wow, we were all blown away by the quality and taste of all dishes! The tofu dishes were the best I had in Paris, the meat dishes were juicy and full of flavour, the dumplings had lots of fresh shrimps filling and the caramelised braised pork was heaven! None of the dishes were oily and the servers were so nice, calm and accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you want to have delicious authentic Chinese food in a chic environment. Big thanks to the lovely staff and chef for this wonderful experience!!!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. It was expensive and they took a while to serve us our food. We order some chicken with sweet and sour spice and got breaded chicken. The taste was good. But having so many excellent restaurant around I wouldn’t come back again.

Delicious and fanciful Asian fare for banquets.

I gave it 2 stars for the location and the design. The food is terrible. We've tried the menu for my friend and specials for my part. Both of them were disappointing at best. The service was unprofessional: when there were only 4 tables to serve, I had to wait 10 minutes my meal after my friend has been served. We had 4 or 5 different waiters, that were slow and unaware of previous communications. I always wanted to try this place, as a Paris Ian, but that would be the first and last time.

the restaurant is spacious, high ceiling, classic and well decorated, nice atmosphere. Foods are average, with good varieties. staff are friendly, well recommended.

A feast of westerners' Chinese fantasies. Got all the exotic elements but is just not Chinese for a Chinese. Food wise, dim sum is a disaster. Never had worse in my life. All fried meat dishes is a shame. The three stars are for the stir fried water celery with garlic - it was really good. Would never return, and will never bring a French friend here - don't want them to start with a false impression.

This restaurant may be one of the biggest Chinese restsurant in town hence the menu is very extensive. Surprisingly the price isn't too expensive either. However the flavours of dishes are rather dull and not that authentic.
