Le Quartier Francais

We have just spent 8 nights here. This is a fab hotel- small, peaceful, very comfortable and with excellent staff. Dumi the assistant manager is outstanding and nothing is too much trouble for her. The hotel is in the centre of the village where there are lovely shops, cafes, restaurants etc. A perfect combination. Highly recommended a private pool suite.

This is one of the most professionally run hotels I have stayed at. The staff are excellent. The hotel is run almost to perfection. The rooms are light, pretty and super comfortable. Breakfast is very good. The calmness of this location yet being very central is very useful. I would rerun here in a heartbeat especially given the care and attention provided to us on our honeymoon. Really not a lot to complain about after our 5 days there

What a nice boutique style hotel. Our room (8) was a nice, large and extremely clean, loft style room with open fireplace. There were 25 rooms in what seemed to be an old converted court yard style group of buildings around a small swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful and always nice to be around. The breakfast was ‘a la cart’ and of top quality. There were also fruits and cereals. This hotel was a very positive experience and if I were to be in this area again I would defiantly book this hotel.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very attentive and made sure our stay was perfect. The morning breakfasts was perfect including the afternoon wine tasting! Conrad, one of the managers, was very helpful when our flight cancelled. He made sure we were well accommodated and obtained transportation to the airport. The most outgoing and friendly award goes to Domi - such personality and always smiling! Thanks for a great stay!!!

Overall||Everything was fantastic, from the location to the rooms and from the service to the food. Highly recommended!||The Good.||1. The location was great. In the middle of the village, it is so convenient for shops and restaurants. There was secure parking||2. The grounds were stunning with great views to the mointains. The pool area was lovely and even had sunscreen left out on the loungers. ||3. Service was superb throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful. They added lots of extra touches. ||4. The rooms were huge and traditionally decorated. We had a large lounge area to sit in, and the beds were comfortable.||5. The bathrooms were large, and the shower worked well.||6. The food was also excellent. We had rom service and breakfast in the room. All were excellent, and there was lots of choice. We also ate at Epice- one of the beat meals we have ever had. ||The Bad||Nothing really, but heating the pool would be great for the winter!

This place was perfect! Stayed in a suite for 4 nights and had access to their sister location Leeu Estates. Between the two, you couldn’t want for more. The grounds are beautiful and serene yet right in the middle of town. Breakfast was good. Also went to Epice and had an amazing experience. We spent an entire day at Leeu Estates enjoying the garden, wine and also had a fabulous dinner. They shuttled us back to Le Quartier after dinner. We spent one afternoon just sitting by the pool and enjoying the atmosphere. When in Franschhoek- this is the place to stay!

The hotel is impossible to describe. Room is incredible. Staff people are very poli te. Amazing persons working. The location is perfect, and Franschhoek is like heaven in Earth.. Pool room is better than you can imagine. Conrad is a very friendly and helpful person.

We stayed at LQF for three nights during our visit to the winelands in a petite garden suite. The room was spacious and beautifully designed. The bath had heated floors a large shower and clawfoot tub. Our little garden was walled-in and surrounded by vines and shrubs shrubs. We also had a couple resident birds and a squirrel to keep us company. ||Even though the hotel is located in the middle of the main street, stepping into the hotel was like stepping into another world. The staff could not be nicer and went beyond expectations with every question we had. Sculptures all over the property integrated with the feel of being in a whimsical wonderland. The pool area was quiet and had what I think was an honor bar, as did the comfy living area where we watched rugby. ||The breakfast was superb with both a buffet and made to order menu. I especially liked the fresh ginger-based juice. We had dinner one night a protoge and ate at the chef's counter where we could see the care they put into making the dishes. Marvelous. ||I highly recommend LQF to anyone spending a little time in Franschoek.
